Like others said something like dragon shield color of choice will work fine and any normal binder. You could stop by your local game store and ask just say its for weiss or mtg since its the same size and they can point you in the correct directions.signed wixoss cards like the rarity you posted will probably go $80-200 but some like "???" and "SP" will go for thousands. wixoss cards are pretty enough low rarity if your just trying for some bling wont cost your bank but your generally better off getting singles then boxes just because of rarity distribution. You can do this from sites like jpn mercari or yuyutei with a proxy or forwarding service. Just be warned proxy fees, japanese then int shipping, and tariffs will increase prices.

>>97234016Okay, agreed, but what's the point of that? (in the context of D&D 3.5e, specifically)What is the point of defining an absolute way the rules work, when the authors themselves playtested them minimally? Why should I, or you, care what the community defines as "RAW"?What is the point of saying Ice Assassin-ing a deity is completely RAW, when said RAW was never the intention of any writer, nor will it feasibly happen in a normal table? The only natural conclusion to that is literally to ignore the entire way the spell was written, and either rewrite it yourself or ditch it.I would get it if all these discussions were happening over a game that would have, at the very fucking least, released some official errata on things like how you are supposed to treat spell-like Wishes (and the lack of an XP component). But that is not the case, and you are expected to homebrew parts of the system if you want it to work from Levels 1-20 (in a way that doesn't make you kill yourself as a DM).
>>97234064The point is that it gives us a starting point of conversation. You and I might both agree that the RAW of how light sources interact with darkness is stupid, i.e. a person in a dark field can't see a torch 50 feet away. However, in order to play the same game and talk about it we need to refer back to what the rule is saying so we can figure out what it's trying to do. Even if there's a common-sense consensus it needs to be reached rather than assumed. RAW doesn't need to be derived.Yeah, shit needs to be rewritten all the time, but RAW is what makes it rewriting rather than pure homebrew or building your own game.
>>97234078Well, I can't argue with that.Anyway, my original point was just a remark to that anon's statement (that people ignore how dragons are supposed to be prideful and egomaniac when assuming any encounter with them), it wasn't really meant as a sophisticated post.
>>97234091No worries, I highly doubt anyone's posts here past midnight are particularly sophisticated. And for what it's worth I agree with you that a monster's habits, tactics, and motivations should be just as much as its CR calculus as its abilities. Zombies are stupid. Owlbears attack whatever looks the most edible. Most things with Int over 10 are running from a fight they can't win unless they've got a damn good reason to stick around, be that zealotry, defense of something worth dying for, or low enough wisdom they can't tell the fight's turning. I wish there were more books like The Monsters Know What They're Doing because I felt like that series leaned way too hard into gamemanship and angleshooting mechanics rather than actual tactics and reasonable behavior.
If you had a Skeletal Nightmare animated with Nimble Bones do you think it would bake sense for the flight speed to go up in a ratio wiht the ground speed?More on how it feels like it should work, since Nightmares basically air-run, than RAW unless there's some rule about ratios remaining consistent somewhere I've missed >>97232048>>97231918>>97232808>>97232828I actually rather liked MM4 as a teen/tween on my forest walks I'd imagine fighting a lot of the spawn in there. What level wizard/magic user would Prospero have been?
>>97217579Weirdly Prospero might be the closest thing to the typical DnD Wizard found in pre-20th century literature. He actually was just a normal guy that studied magic books and learned how to perform magic without any natural ability of his own, demon pacts, demon or deity parenthood of any kind. Until he was a fairly powerful sorcerer who cold bind fairies and demons to his service, summon storms, control the emotions of others, and turn invisible. And when he tossed away his spell book and broke his foci he was a normal guy again. Seems almost ever other depiction of a wizard in old stories turn out to be a demi god, a cambion, or a god in disguise. Except for maybe a couple examples in some Russian fairy tales.
>>97223600Russia had a very strong folk magic tradition long after it kind of faded out in western Europe. In that worldview, magic is just another "law of nature", just a secret one. Anyone could do magic if they learned how, and it's usually not even that complicated, it's just that the knowledge is really secret and exclusive. Hunters know hunting spells (zagovory) and don't share them with shepherds, who know shepherding spells, healers know healing spells, etc. Only specialized people know a broad spectrum of magic. There are also demon powered witches and whatnot but basically magic is just knowing a secret magic incantation that hypothetically any child could do if they eavesdropped on a magician. To reiterate: this not a uniquely Russian thing, it's just more prominent at a later era.
Well, he quits at the end so I guess zero?
It's been a while since we had a "stat me" thread, hasn't it?
>>97223600In The Children of Tuireann, which is an Irish myth, the three sons of Tuireann murder Cian, the father of Lugh, pursuing him through a series of transformations whilst transforming themselves. The Tuatha de Danan however, are as you propose, probably pre-Christian gods transposed into a tribe of ancient heroes by the chronicles of monks. The Children of Tuireann also becomes a great archetypal voyage-quest when the three sons are sentenced to recover a series of famous treasures, and perform one fated feat.

>>97233386That's what the skoal can is for but I was mostly just suggesting it to >>97233090 as some easy merits
>>97231841>The reason they do what they do is correctEh, half correct. The Sabbat treat all Antediluvians as equal actors in Gehenna based on a shoddy reading of an iffy prophecy. Arikel isn't going to end the world, for example. There's also the fact they use Caine for legitimacy while basing their sect on his two least favorite things, overthrowing elders and diablerie. The fact they spend most of their time making Noddism look like wacko shit for psychos and making war on random princes rather than make any real attempt at killing the remaining Antes honestly makes me wonder if they're controlled opposition.
>>97230737>>97230747As someone who has been worried about where the story of HtP has been going, the last episode did restore some of my confidence. Concise, good character work, decent proper intro to Fomori, does a good job of establishing that most are fairly weak and die from conventional means. Door and his ELEVEN YEAR OLD SON somehow continue to be better Hunters than the rest of the gang combined. I really can't overstate how much I enjoyed the peak into Door's mind and how surprisingly emotionally mature he is, and he seems far sharper at actually identifying threats than D, despite the latter's constant boasting about his abilities (which we still haven't seen). Though I will say it does still tie into the problem of "holy shit we are still in the wyrm-werewolf setup quagmire". Hard pivoting to a whole other splat with a much higher barrier to entry when our hunters have only danced with a pack of low-level Sabbat previously was a very questionable move, especially with their slow upload schedule and I still think it's a misstep. I'd really like to hear their thought process behind that decision, because it feels like they jumped the gun without fully understanding what they were getting themselves into, since the amount of plot points introduced vs. resolved has increased astronomically. One final quibble I have though If Boy's mom is still alive my estimation of the entire cell just dropped off a cliff. Children can't give informed consent; therefore, they can't truly choose the life of a child soldier. Even if they could (which again, they can't), that's not something a child should be subjected to. If his mother is dead or worse, there are extenuating circumstances that at least justify him being on the road with dad and co. By all means, teach the kid the ropes but keep his ass as far away as possible from the actual monsters until he's at least like 16.
>>97233591It's a pretty tits episode yeah. I can consider maybe 5.2 was a fluke that went out of proportion with them trying to go run around in circular logic expanding the Stolen Moon plot just for a cool lore tidbit and to get info on the SI as well. Trying to cover too much in too little time in just one episode sort of thing. I also enjoyed the Door inner monologues, genuinely a great view into Hunter derangement where he (appropriately) is forced to identify threats and problems at every situation. As for the werewolf problem, I think it's more so trying to cover enough feasible ground to identify the Regent's power structure on how the GGG can possibly defeat her. I'm also sure, and quite fairly so, that part of your opinion is because of how glacial arc 2 is. Arc 1 was resolved entirely within a year and Pyotr was probably much too good of an antagonist that the show feels like it's in limbo waiting for someone to match his gravitas.>spoilerFair, though we don't have all the facts yet.
