>>96503411I've come to the conclusion that this deck is just completely unfun to play against. I would honestly rather play against Nokia Omnimon and take a dice roll of either losing in 3 turns or winning. I just faced a RK deck on DCGO with my ver.1 DM deck, and I thought it was going really well, as I got ShinMonzaemon early and was removing all important sources for like 5 turns straight. But the variation I faced had constant defensive options with Odin's Breath and Revelation of Light. After like 30 minutes I lost because I ran out of resources to deal with a lone Omnimon X who had 4 of those option cards that let's it stay in the battle area. I really don't get if this guy got really lucky or it is an unwinnable matchup, because despite me thinking I was winning, my opponent had 4 security cards in the end. At least their Drasil had only had 1 RK in it because of an option card...
>>96506265my gut says Kaguyamon kills it because another Digimon was deleted but Omni's effect continues even if I it is removed mid effect and bottom decks the other one
>>96506408Well, I guess the answer was switching to ver.4, at least I can go to bed a winner now.
>>96506439Okay that my doubt so the effect continues and delete my other digimons so i dont have a way to protect the other kaguya to return at the bottom of the deck right?

As a man in a lot of gaming communities, including 40K, Warhammer has a disproportionately high number of problematic fansSimply put, it’s not actually that good at presenting the Imperium as awful. Most of the books follow space marines, so you’re getting a power fantasy, not a deep look into the horrific dehumanisation of the Imperium. Plus the narrative more often than not seems to scramble to try justify the Imperium, which gives further credence to a pro-fascist angle. It was designed to be a mocking satire, but while GW still calls it that, it fails to really execute that.40K in particular nowadays is tonally all over the place. It's simultaneously satire, parody, and a completely straight power fantasy about heroic people doing cool stuff. The Imperial Cult is a vile and hateful religious organization, and also there's an Inquisition... And they are all correct. Like, they burn "witches", but also those witches are real and could doom an entire planet through carelessness. Media literacy is not a thing if 40k fans are just following what the writing puts out
>>96501072some anglo in the late 80s>hahaha those comics are rad what if we make a game where we put all the rad things in it?some anon on 4chan>ACTUALLY it's satire! never take anything seriously unless it's a microaggression!

Is the sole purpose of the Shasvastii rule just to try and prevent retreat from proc'ing? Also since it replaces the unconcious state doesn't that technically mean you then can't pick up downed shasvastii model if they go embryo mode? What's the point? I'm interested in them as a potential second army but they seem bizarre in so many ways It's a bit of a struggle trying to even pick a direction to go with them. Definitely wanna roll a Sphinx but taking support pieces like a good hacker and an engi seem kinda pointless for a "camo at whim" TAG.

Welcome to the Old School Renaissance General, the thread dedicated to TSR-era D&D, derived systems, and compatible content.Broadly, OSR games encourage a tonal and mechanical fidelity to Dungeons & Dragons as played in the game's first decade — less emphasis on linear adventures and overarching meta-plots and a greater emphasis on player agency. If you are new to the OSR, welcome! >>96504222I would love to hear more about Stonehell and your stories. I read some of Stonehell (level 1), and there's some cool stuff but also a lot of empty-room-with-one-specific-feature-or-thing. The dungeon did feel/look like a very random collection of rooms placed extremely randomly. I realize this is just an old-school dungeon, but the layout just makes very little sense in any way. Especially level 1 should at least in more ways feel like a fucking prison, surely. The lower levels look very cool, but I didn't read them carefully yet.

>>96506098Good work on a thoughtfully sorted index. Now make a template in whatever photo editing software you use, and resize all the images to be one consistent size and dpi. Crop the scanner beds, skew or scale rotated images, and make a leveling action for a consistent white balance across the range. There's loads of cleaning/dusting (manga scanlation) guides out there if you need tutorials. Don't include fan/house/non-official rules in the main body, add an appendix (or even a separate pdf)Get some image compression plugin (Super PNG et al) and you could halve the filesize without image quality loss. Obviously just my critique, and not a teardown of your compilation. I'll post whatever relevant other magazine stuff I have (GDW Challenge Magazine?) tomorrow.
>>96506466Converting to greyscale all non color pages is also a huge file size cruncher.

>>96504063Also most games would probably not go well for something with uh, unsually carefree attitude to foreign names anime has, like Éclair Martinozzi, but the "I need actual names" segment is probably limited to historical games if anything. Something like I dunno, Broken Compass seems to me the case where the names are provided generally by the players themselves and the non-minion NPCS don't need painstackingly researched names (I mean, Tomb Raider and James Bond surely didn't waste time with those).

>>96493694>Assuming humans and hobbits live in the same society, and that technology is around half/full plate knights would hobbits realistically play any role in battle? If we're talking pike warfare, I'd imagine they'd make excellent frontline fighters since they could approach under their side's pikes without being in the way. If you aim down to go after the hobbits, you get skewered. If you try to keep the pikes at bay, the hobbits slip past the tips of your pikes and can get to your undefended front lines and rip them to shreds.

>>96449364they removed that. now everything is a skew list. there isnt even a reason to run infantry for objectives anymore. vehicles have more oc than infantry because they are big points dude who stand in the magic circle. You can’t even suspend your disbelief and imagine the ground troops are evacuating buildings, securing intel, occupying structures, or doing anything you would need soldiers for because now a fucking dreadnought does more than a squad for some reason and if he touches the arbitrary map circle you get arbitrary victory points

>>96502830GW has a habit of trying to tap into popular culture of the time to attract new players to THEIR products. 2000ad comic Imperium, Aliens Tyranids, punk rock necromunda, Tau Star Wars Trade Federation, Masterchief Space Marines, Starcraft Dorfs, Palitoy Primaris, etc. Sometimes they pull it off and a line is popular for a while then sinks into obscurity, sometimes they fail spectacularly. >>96497015Ever since I finished Patlabor not really. I tried watching gundam 00 but it was boring
>>96502688>All the weird sproingy gas weapons are still weird though.Agreed. I'm sure it must be explained somewhere. Let me check the Japanese wikipedia page..."Various parts are fitted with compressed gas cartridge drums (each containing 16 cartridges) and these are used to enable the Wire Arms and the Leg Anchors. Another mechanism allows the knee armor to extend like an arm punch during a knee smash (!!!). They are also equipped with airbags in case of a failed landing (judging from the depiction in the movie, they are disposable and appear to be activated using compressed gas cartridges).""Armed with a gun which is a combination of a gas cartridge drum and an iron pipe. The gun uses the explosive power of a gas cartridge to fire another gas cartridge as a warhead, so two cartridges are used to fire one shot. (This means that a 16-round drum provides eight shots.) These guns are not built for combat, they're just equipment for repelling Termites."There's no mention of the compressed gas being used as the "hydraulic fluid" for the motive cylinders, nor does it mention the gas being used as fuel for the power generator, but I'd guess those are both true as well...?
