To all you master chefs in this thread: how fucking long after your game sessions of you have to break to prepare a multi course meal in the middle?
>>96604495I remember food freakouts being a weekly thing over the pandemic. My pet theory is it's one guy like the bumper or the ACKs guy.
>>96605577I prep 99% of the meal beforehand. That's essentially counting hours, because after 49.5 hours of breaking down the various carcasses, preparing the 6-9 stocks, sauces, and purees, and roasting/frying/baking/sauteeing/poaching/broiling everything, it's all just sitting in my walk-in refrigerator, and during the game It only takes me about a half an hour to reheat and assemble everything.
>>96605577The same way a commercial kitchen does: prep in advance. Do as much as you can so by the time game time rolls around you basically have to just slap things together in 20 minutes or so and you're golden.Alternately, conscript the others. Be like, "Hey, you smash the garlic, you cut the onions, you knead the dough, you butcher the meat. Let's go, and chat and drink while we do." Cooking together is a wonderful social activity. Everyone's hands are too busy to close off in their phones. It also gives people an outlet to chat separate from table time, and can actually make the rest of the session before and after cooking more productive.

>>96605389Sure, but only after I've got the ritual sorted out. It takes a gift, a spirit rite, a demon ritual, and a thaum ritual to make sure the half-breed abominations survive to be born. The biggest roadblock rn is that we can't figure out a way to combine the words Dhampir and Dhampyr in a distinct way to reflect the new crime against nature.

i think the idea of dragons (by colors) being good, neural or evil is pretty fucking retardedlike why can't we have a good red dragon and an evil silver dragon? oh wait it's a DnD problembut the influence it did already ruined most fantasy dragons for me when they are so predictable in how they will behave unless the GM ignores all the bs and does his own thing
>>96578142>EberronFucker, Eberron stole that from dragonlance. Dragonlance let you fucking Ride dragons
>>96562554Don't mind me, posting the pic this thread need.
>>96572456Dragon types as different species. All dragons can breath fire and another breath weapon or mix them. Telepathic dragons that bond with the right person at the right ages. Telepathic, teleporting dragons with a gripe against an aerial threat. Dragons big enough to have a dozen crew aboard, operating heavy weapons.>just a few from friction
>>96572456Why even do groupings? Make whatever neat dragon shit you want. Pathfinder got rid of its colored and metallics and came up with Omen, Fortune, Conspirator, Horned, Diabolic, Empyreal, Adamantine, and Mirage dragons. Diabolic dragons are red dragons from Hell, with enhanced fire abilities to really seal how much they are evil fire dragons. Conspirators are all the shapeshifting style dragons but weird and slightly eldritch, making humanoid flesh suits they squirm into to carry out their business (ala Edgar from MiB 1). Omens have a vision granting breath weapon and mirror-like wings that can grant future sight. Adamantine dragons are rough, almost elemental, dragons with large heavy bodies that love eating ore and rock.Basically, get weird with it. Do cool shit with them. White dragons could be scaleless, incorporating ice as their protective "scales", with a desiccating breath attack that saps water and heat. Now its a representative of not just cold but also the desert-like effect frozen regions have. A strange scaleless dragon covered in ice that dessicates flesh and freezes thing to death. Its now immediately 10 times better than the standard white. >>96596589>The tyrant that genuinely believes that the best course of action is bending the "lesser" races to its will in order to "uplift" them no matter the sacrifices along the wayYou realise you've just described classic LE and not what a good dragon would act like, right? Also, ends justifying the means, aka sacrificing others for some vaunted "greater good" is classic evil behavior. Try again but keep in mind making them good instead.
>>96605537LE is using law to create a hierarchy where your at the top and take what you want because you want it while actively oppressing those beneath you in order to keep that power. The difference is in the intended endgame, with my conception of a "good" dragon, being once which does genuinely think it knows best and wasn't a greater prosperity for all, but as a Dragon processes those beliefs through an inherently egocentric view.A Lawful Evil version of the same conception would be actively running a slave empire instead of one of Citizens and Freeholders who bow before its autocratic rule.

exactly as the title says, please bitch about Retarded Players. this is a No Retarded Player Zone if you are infact a Retarded Player I recommend hanging out in the 5e general
>>96582009The machine mostly only knows how to be generic and blandly acceptable. Real human effort put into an illustration usually has something more being conveyed than just the literal, individual details of the picture.
>>96571359What if you started just using prompts to generate NPC slop for your encounters with them.
>>96597775Fake story but good bait.
>>96571359Honestly I'd almost prefer that over heroforge. Heroforge looks like complete ass most of the time. Though to be fair it sounds like your players are using online-slop, instead of doing it locally like I do. This one isn't a PC, just an NPC. But it gives an idea of the quality I shoot for when I generate images for my players. And fucking hell it's a godsend to get some art for stuff that just doesn't have a lot of art to find, or when you need something really specific. But I guess this ties into something another anon said. Creativity and imagination. You have to hold onto that when dealing with AI. I think in the end, it's an effort thing. If someone gives me a heroforge portrait where they used kitbashing, and/or didn't use the basic lighting I'll definitely give them the go ahead for it.
>>96603560I cannot imagine not paying rapt attention to the GM.Now paying so much attention you notice inconsistencies with what was said last week, that's probably also a problem.
Fantasy WW1 and Fantasy Interwar are CRIMINALLY underrated. I fucking love trench warfare with arcane artillery and construct-tanks!
>>96598450Interwar is when you can get into the real fancy stuff. It's where many of the pulp stories are, and it's where you can get glamorous or laid back or more casual than you could during WW1 itself.
sodo you represent this love through any games or what

>>96598833>One thing I don't know about is whether dieselpunk would fit it. It seems a bit too "neat" for this sort of messy time period.Dieselpunk begins where steampunk ends, and World War I is that border between the two. Which do you prefer: the final twilight of steampunk, or the dawn of dieselpunk?
>>96603029A bit of both, maybe? I suppose you have a point. Early dieselpunk and declining steampunk sounds about right.I do like fantasy World War I though, since the whole industrialized warfare thing would apply to magic as well.Something that used to be more art than science, now made a weapon to wipe out people on a scale that used to be the province of the mad and malicious. The ones who often dedicated their whole lives to pursuit of the darkest, most destructive forms of magic.Imagine some nation resorting to industrialized necromancy to bolster it's dwindling military force.Their combat necromancers raising the fallen to throw at the enemy, forcing them to lay their undead comrades to rest once more.Battle automata, animated tanks fusing with their drivers, and flesh golems tearing through line after line, leaving death and despair in their wake.Bound demons and earth elementals, lumbering titans rising above the fray like ancient gods of war and suffering. To me it underscores and amplifies the horror of that new kind of war, where more people than ever have met their untimely end, and often in ways more gruesome than in the days of yore.Something about all this tickles my autism something fierce. For the record, I don't get off to people being blown to bits with a fireball, I just like the drama all of this put together creates.
Can we all just admit the Emperor was kinda stupid?>Literally his only scientific skill of note was his psyker knowledge, which was heavily flawed and based on false assumptions>He relied on Luna’s geneticists to make his supersoldiers and Mar’s Mechanicus to make his equipment because he couldn’t do it himself>His strategy to basically everything involved dumb brute force>His long-term endgame strategy was an over-complicated clusterfuck with a million things that could go wrong and did>Said endgame strategy relied on once again using another’s technology prowess and hijacking the Eldar’s webway

2d20 Conan. Best for it I've read and played. It has a solid setting and tone primer for getting people into the world, and the rules let you build and play pulpy characters with mechanical weight to the things they are good at. My group had a shifty sorcerer/alchemist, a canny and strong former bandit, and a capering thief/acrobat; we all felt useful and even had ways to make each other more effective, in or out of combat.

>>96602722>(but not above the tech level IRL)Only cringe part. I want to see what a dipshit caveman does with a hand-held antimatter reactor.
>>96605404The tech limitation is important because it means I (the DM) can look up what the tech looks like, how it works, what happens if the players try to do X with it, and so on. That's what sets it apart from magic or sufficiently advanced technology.Modern-day tech is still fun though. Imagine a caveman coming across unexploded ordnance, or a radiothermal generator, or barrels of dangerous (toxic, flammable or explosive) chemicals. Even if they're degraded due to centuries or millenia passing since being abandoned, they can still be dangerous by caveman standards (and/or useful if the caveman is smart)

>>96604762Sorry to tell you this but it's simply not possible to play a deck of those cards in the main format and really only for house play. They are simply too good at what they do for a game that uses the grave as a resource. The one deck that made the least use of them was ironically a pure ishizu deck. The silver lining I can tell you is that with this new format that konami launched about a day ago where the cards are technically legal. Cards are given a point value if the card is suspect of anything and you can play whatever you want so long as you do not exceed the point limit. By default it's 100P.Only thing is that the monsters are 1, 1, 50, 50 so you're not going to be able to run all of them and if you do run the 2 50s you can play basically any other staples because they're also a small chunk of points like Ash is 15. So you could play the cheap ones, namely mudora who cards about Gravekeeper's trap which is your card in question, and maybe 1 miller but it won't be an exchange of the spirit deck really.I feel like you're the same person who came here a few weeks ago and posted a similar question so this might be redundent. I would recommend you buy the field center token that has her on it instead for $0.50. Pro tip, these field center tokens are standard size cards for some reason.Pic related. >>96605243nta but i have this card
>>96604586>Also, do you autistically sort what card belongs in what page in what position? I think that's the most fun part of collecting. That, and discovering new favorites. Like do you have a rainbow page of only brightly colored pantyhosed girls? Maybe a black page too?No, for now they just go to the binder unsorted.Still, i don't see myself sorting them by pantyhose color or anything like that, only alphabetically. And now that i think about it, i missed at least one girl for my collection, and i can't believe i did because she's part of one of the strongest decks of this format, i have gotten my ass kicked by her a lot of times too, so there's just no excuse. As an apology, i'll consider getting a 25LP secret rare copy instead of the ultra (it's cheap, but it would clash with the rest).By the way, i'm happy that cutia's deck will actually be usable with the upcoming support, i didn't get any of the other cards but i doubt they'll be expensive, since it's not tiered in OCG where they had apollousa legal for a while.
