lmao I remember seeing posts about this like 15 years ago, it's still being worked on? What's the state of it?

I remember it was inspired by the very vibey casual looking catgirl art, which you'd think would imply a rules-light, narrative focused game. But for some reason as soon as people started writing rules for it they wrote a lot of very crunchy combat rules. And also people kept adding new kinds of *animal*girl as if it needed rules for people who wanted to run fuckin beargirls instead of catgirls. I'm assuming all that shit got thrown out? Is there a physical book yet?
>>
>>97457016
unfortunate. I will see how I can somehow still include your art without it looking out of place in the book.
>>97457043
it's being resurrected, or salvaged (pun intended) right now.

>>
>>97457185
>it's being resurrected, or salvaged (pun intended) right now.
are the people currently working on it focusing on getting a basic structure that is intended to create game experiences that feel like the inspirational art, and then get that early version out into the world to get as much play test info as possible from the widest possible group so they can iterate on it and produce a marketable working game?

Or is it just another wank fest like the first go?
>>
>>97457043
To add to this, just the lore that's been written is being used, not the old (and also incomplete) game rules that've been recovered.
The new game runs on the Year Zero Engine because it's fairly rules light and narrative focused, and also already has light resource gathering/management and survival game elements in place since that's also part of the esthetic of the setting.

Heavy Metal Noise Edition

>Cyberpunk 2020 vs. Cyberpunk RED?
Cyberpunk 2020 is the second edition of the Cyberpunk TTRPG by R. Talsorian Games, set in a (then) future inspired by film noir and the dark science fiction films and books of the late 20th century. It focuses on simulationist gameplay and lethal near-future combat.

Cyberpunk RED is the latest edition of the Cyberpunk TTRPG, set during the aftermath of the devastating Fourth Corporate War. It focuses on more balanced, streamlined gameplay and is currently supported by R. Talsorian Games.

Well, for starts, it disqualifies them in their own splat from having their range-band changed as they are not "Assault Rifles" and can't then take the assault rifle Range Table Modification.

Additionally, it's short-hand for using the Heavy Weapons skill. All Machine Guns that can be fired in single shots use Heavy Weapons.

Basically, Machine Guns are a defined class of weapons that are fired with heavy weapons and/or autofire skill.
>>
>>97456132
>>97456175
Actually after re reading the splat, the classifications do have a purpose and aren't just flavour.
>>
>>97453523
It means the parrying object gets damaged and the GM has to decide how much punishment can it take.
>>
>>97453523
Parrying is a really strange I’d say actually bad system in 2020.
Basically you just declare parry at the start of the turn with some item you are carrying and the melee attack hits that item and deals damage to it and soaks that damage for you based on how many hitpoints the gm decides the object has.
if you are using a sword/monosword you instead roll a d10 to determine if your sword blocks the strike or shatters. Literally no input is made from the players actual skills so a fat paraplegic downie parries at the same luck and akill level of a master swordsman.
>>
>>97455042
>>97455266
Meant to say 12k per person.
Also there's one part where the players get 12 seconds to disarm a bomb IF they notice it or take 8d10 damage

Here's what happened. I'm a true Clanless vampire from the Netherlands who lived over two centuries with friends in high (Ventrue) places. Unlike many of my acquaintances, I sympathize with the plight of the marginalized communities of kindred in NYC, who cyclically get targeted by the Second Inquisition dressed as regular and special police officers - officers who never go after richer immortals and neighborhoods, for reasons you can easily imagine.
I stopped one such state-sanctioned pogrom with my allies, and decided I was no longer going to be a bystander, an observer: I have descended from the skyscrapers where not even God dares to tread, so I could dwell among the people, my people, Caitiffs and thinbloods like the one I once was.
The Prince may have not been the most gracious in regards to my people, especially those in territories claimed by the Anarchs such as the Bronx, but seems wise and forward-thinking enough not to challenge my authority or allies, the Prince is quite unlike the human horde of suicidal irrelevancies I just massacred.
As to my longer term goals, it's to unite outcasts from all walks of life, be them kindred, mortals or others, and let them finally live without fear. I want to create a new, better community, one worth living in.
Tell your masters to mind their own business, and they will see said business grow, as I have no plans for the city of Bridgeport.
>>
>>97456122
>Still deeply concerned that there is apparently anything at all between me and the Animkiig!
There's worse fates. Before my Malk left Marquette a lot of her episodes came out of the Thing under the town. Your... Affinity, let's call it. Far less likely to make you stare at a lake until you almost fry.

>Think we should drag in ghouls made after the massacres, or Childer? Nobody currently in the manor has any of the latter, far as I'm aware, but just in case.
Better to get everyone. Even if you weren't around for it, an unobsolved stain can fall on you.

>Something to discuss as a family, I suppose, once they're all here.
Not the worst plan. Truth is I need to figure things out with the cat. Once she's able to speak for herself in the present tense. See if we want to continue our tour or if it's time to consider something more permanent.
>>
>>97456982
We couldn't warn the "competent" authorities in NYC in time, when we tried we were met with silence from the side of the Camarilla, and threats from Revelation's own side.
I cannot predict how the kine are going to react to those massive losses they had from Revelation.

I need Scarlet in a better shape before I leave the city with her.
It goes without saying my childer are free to say goodbye at any one moment.
I would do everything I did all over again. I will always love you, my childer.
>>
>>97456982
People, most likely kindred, might suspect mom is an ally to Revelation and chase us.

Any good stories or games ran in this lately. Been a while since I have played a d100 system, but I am planning on using mythras rules alongside clockwork & chivalry to make some dark fantasy gothic horror stuff.
I will say that I do recommend cults of zahak though. It is a really neat supplement and is pretty well made barring an issue with one monster missing an ability description.

I forgot to also ask in my post. Are your players more used to systems where you level up? Anything BRP is focused more on raising skills. You could either use mythras rules for experience, mythras imperative is free and has some altenrate rules for a few things that work quite well, or just let people attempt to raise whatever skills they used at the end of every session. I generally prefer using mythras' rules myself for certain things.
>>
>>97453239
Most of our experience is with PF1, we currently have a PF2 campaign going on in our group. In the past we've played Cyberpunk RED and The Witcher, which still have role abilities that are sort of like class levels, but otherwise is skill based. I've got a good idea of how skill increases work in BRP systems(though I think some games vary on whether you get the experience check based on failure or success within the game). I did like CPR and The Witcher for being skill based, but your stats ended up being a lot more important for base skills levels. Like I had a merchant in my Witcher campaign that wanted to branch into crafting skills, but he'd dumped the governing stat so it was a big uphill battle. On the other hand Pathfinder's stats have a relatively low influence on skills past a certain level, so in some ways I like that more. About half our group is playing in a campaign using Low-Fantasy Gaming(allegedly OSR, I'm not familiar with or interested in OSR), and I absolutely detest the skill system in that. I definitely like the skill system in BRP stuff and based on playing Cyberpunk/Witcher I do like the idea of combat using skills and my playgroup has familiarity with it.

>>97445354
I kinda like the idea of doing an RPG where each member of the party is the captain of their own ship, focusing more on fleet engagements and blockade running than just the usual "You're 5 guys in the Not-Milennium Falcon."

I like the idea of each member of the group managing their ship, as well as sending their own crew on missions between sessions. Spending money on upgrading their crew, buying mission specialists, mercenaries, replacing fighters and repairing the ship rather than just new weapons and personal gear. Every so often, the captains need to come together to lead a ground assault mission and stuff, but the real meat and potatoes is managing your ships, cooperating with each other in fleet actions, managing equipment and trying to stay 1 step ahead of The Empire or Separatists or New Republic, depending on the faction you're playing as.

Has anyone ever tried this? How well does it actually work?

Commander is the end of Magic. No other TCG can compete with commander's popularity, and commanderfags have already proven they will accept whatever slop WotC injects into the game. Every decision WotC makes about the game is to appease commander players, and it is ALWAYS to the detriment of non-commander formats. Some busted ass shit that was designed around there being 4+ players? Its now rotated Legacy (again). Unsets being made black-bordered? They need to be so I can run my heckin attractions deck in my pod. 50% of the rares in a Standard set being build-around Legends that suck complete cock outside of commander? Commander. LD/MLD/Mana denial no longer viable strategies? Commander players find them unfun. UB is also because of Commander, when WotC realized they could ride the EDH gravytrain and turn every popular character from any IP into a commander.

This is actually a really fun idea and adds a kind of tragic undertone that you could squeeze some stories out of.
It's hardly original but stuff doesn't need to be, it just needs to be solid.

While we're at it remove the NASApunk thing, the whole aesthetic is about optimism and therefore no living faction should have them - the 60's thing is on Castellans because they were quite literally from a brighter, more hopeful time.

No. Their lore is boring and their models are boring. Lore is "we're clones who worship AI, yet the Imperium sorta tolerates(seriously, the IMPERIUM being tolerant?) us for some reason." They've had literally zero effect on the wider lore aside from simply existing (which I'm thankful for, keep this shit contained). As for models, they went with space marines but short. Some ignoramus at GW read homo sapiens rotundus, said "AH YES LET'S DESIGN ALL OF THEIR STUFF WITH ROUNDED EDGES" and thought gave himself a promotion. There's almost nothing dwarfy about them. Most of them don't even have facial hair for fuck's sake, and on those that do it's barely anything. It's incredible really, "space dwarves" is so hard to fuck up and yet GW did so spectacularly. They're so much of a nothing burger that most people forget they even exist until

>Does Morbid exemption stack?
Yes.
Staves are good however, and especially the fire staff will do work on the flyers. It's unlikely your opponent will deny himself the ability to strike at whatever angle he wants, if he's running sky-bombs, he'll be coming closer to you, probably right on top of you. If you are running a lot of Specialists, the best you can do is not offer them up together, he'll be able to reach them.
> Call of the Shadowsaur missing
Its on the Shadowsaur itself, unless there's some issue with the version uploaded.
I think you overestimate how much time you'll be getting to set up. The Airships can spawn in your deployment zone, behind you, so if you want to have distance you need to split up your force or advance inward.
I would have suggested Psysaurs + Flysaurs but the Mind-Shackled Apes rule would hurt too much the rest of your list. Maybe a Morlock Courtesan to flirt the Jannies into jumping the ship?
Otherwise you may just need to rely heavily on hugging Walls for your Structure and take it on the chin for 1.5-2 turns.
>>
>>97454983
>Otherwise you may just need to rely heavily on hugging Walls for your Structure and take it on the chin for 1.5-2 turns.
Considering that I do have the phalanxmen I might go for this for the fun of it. Since it's my friends' first game I want to go a bit easy. Having my units hanging out in trenches and fortifications while they prep a big shrine kind of sets up a countdown too which could be a fun thing to work with. Originally I was planning to have a skysaur knight list but something in my heart told me to do a builder one instead.

That being said, the ability to airship up my deployment zone was not something I had thought about so I will probably drop the blademaster in favour of giving staves to the specialists and maybe getting another phalanxman or two.

>Shadowsaur
It's missing the summon rule in Mu005 which is the one I'm working off of

I'm also the one who wrote up the Sky People list so if you have any feedback there please let me know. My biggest concern was if I should spring for more mods on the airship or keep silver distributed between the already hefty investment there and the glider riders as a first wave/screening force for the main show.
>>

>>97454019
Oh, Halberds aren't the same as Pikes, they may be missing from the Sky People. Pike works a bit better for the Reach + on it, Halberd have more Damage.
The list is cool for an intro, especially showing the potential for weird mechanics/events with Sky-People and Mu, Wind Rules are not that heavy, definitely not as bad as Prophetic Sight.

Since noone talks about them that much, me too. To be profitable they need a big consumer base. But they cant be that big or otherwise you would see more talk everwhere.
Maybe they really have a big kids fan base or hardcore fans that dont talk about it online or really just on special forums.
I would expect that it would always spill over to other forums.

Bad Squiddo Games is such sad company
Years back it was the only way to get some female models to south america like the statuesque heads or the old dream forge ASStastic storm troopers.
But now they seem to only stock overpriced low quality models and the historical focus on this some weird alternative universe where women were front and center of conflicts.

Rafail or Riverside comes to mind
I'm quite fond of Red Nebular's space elves, but their warlocks are very different.

Why would you say that, any wip belongs here. We even get scale models sometimes and I dont think anyone aside from one bored shitposter minds.

That's right, since last month I'm posting Gunpla scratchbuild custom model and nobody complained. WIP is WIP.

Any games out there about places best left unexplored?

What's the average session look like? Kinda like Star Trek but underwater?
>>
>>97457115
Yeah basically, docking with underwater bases with on-foot sections, battling other subs and abyssal horrors etc, players manning different stations on the bridge. You need a system with some depth when it comes to vehicles for this, especially regarding damage as you need damage to be modular and not just universal for the submarine.

Yes, and those places are incredibly deadly and will easily kill you. If there's LITERALLY nothing worth it to justify exploring, then you don't have a game, do you?

Your next character can always get the stuff your previous guy dropped

I recently got recommended this system. I want to run a small sandbox hex crawl game. Originally I was planning to use some DnD like system. But I generally like to run Low Level DnD. My players also aren't huge fans of higher level DnD and generally enjoy low magic settings.
So from someone who has played this system, would it be a good fit? I see its trying to go for a fantastical Bronze age setting, and even tho Im going to do a medieval one, I don't think that would be a huge obstacle.

I can't help but think that AI art would be better than this.
