Anything off of Warhammer TV that's worth watching? Been thinking about pirating it, but not sure if it's worth the time.
>>97812612Most of the shows are nothing special story wise really and plenty of it just bolter porn. Decent enough to put in the background while painting, but not much else. "Interrogator" was the only one I recall that actually had something more akin to a decent story and it's very Dark Heresy coded. Few Hammer&Bolter episodes were pretty good as well. But it's been a long while since I last checked, maybe something new worth watching has appeared

Trying to get more into Tau for roleplay. Anyone know good material other than Elemental Council?
>>97818616Elemental council is the best view into tau in a very long time. Really nuanced and with equal emphasis on each caste and the auxiliaries, and he subtly shows that things are fucked up behind the curtain. In comparison, Phil Kelly's tau books are full of mustache twirling faggot ethereals because he decided to grimdark the tau by turning them into blue imperium through author fiat.

What game or setting have you played solo that your players never wanted to try? If you're a GM, of course.Me, it's Bloodshadows. I love the setting and got all the books. My players are all 5E bitches. I miss hs. Back them we tried lots of games. We even made our own games. But I find that most of the players I know now are one system and one setting only and have an almost autistic disdain for trying something new. It's like they only care about leveling up their characters, and not about the adventures.
>>97815224it looks amazing, but also kinda like something that would throw 50 made up proper nouns, hyphenated fantasy words, and proprietary terms at you right out of the gate, expecting you to know the sociopolitical history of the Z'thari Hegemony and their trade embargoes with the Blood-Caste of Oubliette-7. that sucks for immersioni would homebrew it, maybe in DnD if they really are hellbent on that, and pitch it like "guys do you want to play Shadowrun but it's detective noir 1940s?"
>>97809109It's just autism.Same shit with bell-curve champions. People really just don't understand statistics, so they tout whichever dice system "feels" best as objectively superior. It always falls apart under scrutiny.
>>97816332Bell curves make modifiers behave distinctly differently though.
>>97816170The PCs are all amnesiacs ;)It fits with the genre of Noir/Hardboiled and can be explained easily with a spell.Or they came from another dimension. They are known to be real in the setting.Or they were raised in a secluded city fort with no contact with the outside world. Maybe one who didn't permit the use of magic or non-humans mixing with humans. I call that city: Fort Chin.

Welcome to /2eg/, a thread dedicated to all things 2nd Edition D&D related - including settings, lore, modules, and derived systems (Alternity, Buck Rogers XXVc, For Gold and Glory, Hackmaster, Myth and Magic, and more).Since 2e draws heavily from earlier editions, older modules are welcome too. Other media derived from AD&D (such as Infinity Engine video games) also has a home here. It's what you play, not how you play it. RAW or homebrew, as long as your table is having fun, there's no wrong way to play. There's a surprisingly complete 2e fan wiki for rules stuff, it's excellent for quick reference:https://adnd2e.fandom.com/wiki/Advanced_Dungeons_%26_Dragons_2nd_Edition_Wikiad&d 2e archiveaHR0cHM6Ly93ZWIuYXJjaGl2ZS5vcmcvd2ViLzIwMjUwMjA0MTczNzUwL2h0dHBzOi8vdGhlLWV5ZS5ldS9wdWJsaWMvQm9va3MvcnBnLnJlbS51ei9EdW5nZW9ucyUyMCYlMjBEcmFnb25zL0FEJkQlMjAybmQlMjBFZGl0aW9uLw==Remember to keep things civil.Thread Question - why the 2e hate?
