I'll start>D&D 5E is a heroic fantasy game (I didn't say good), trying to do anything else should have you using a different system.
>>97801119GMs shouldn't write stories. good GMing is thinking on your feet and reacting to player's choices. the story comes from the choices they make and their actions, and how they overcome the challenges you throw at them
>>97814455>5e conversionbait
>>97817270>potions as a free actioni agreed with you until this
>>97821093retard.
>>97801119Maybe not the craziest take, but Night Floors is one of the most overhyped, dogshit scenarios I've ever read. It's just a bunch of fucking cut scenes with zero stakes and no way for your player agents to effect anything or really do anything in the scenario at all. Denis Detwiler is a decent horror writer but he's one of the worst scenario writers in the field today, which is something impressive. If writing shitty scenarios was a piano, he would be a bold and uncompromising talent.
>I can fix her>she can make me worseWhich way, Terran man?
>>97824996He tends to release two sketch pages and one finished at the same time. Current is 291.
>>97825622It's good to know he actually keeps progressing, but then I read things like 'I have to design and render the entire ship's bridge, again' . . .
>>97828918Light spoilers, but even at page 291 we're still on the bug ship, so him focusing doing the 3d background for the scene seems appropriate (all the sketch pages have no background at all).Hopefully it just means a short slowing of progress to get the background done before he speeds up again, but I admit I'm getting PTSD flashbacks to the beginning of the dreaded Shuttle Arc.™
>>97830103I thought he was using AI for the backgrounds? Atleast for the umiak ship. Which I am totally on board with due to the glacial pace of this comic.
Theory:Fireblade's post-combat shakes aren't PTSD or stress related or a whatever% adverse side effect to cyborg brain rewiring use only as prescribed.Instead they are the result of Umiak experimentation and bio-tampering which also resulted in telekinesis, the exact opposite of the power they were hoping to instill (they wanted to make a farseer OR create something loyal to them I think).Fireblade's brain chemistry is part Umiak because they know best how to work with that bio template and the rest of her brain and body behaves erratically when the nerves for telekinesis start pumping bug juice into her brainpan.
Do you prefer a ton of detail fleshing out an adventure module, or do you prefer only the most note worthy and explicit features required to run the adventure? there's two competing schools of thought on how one creates more work for the DM than the other. However they might be overlooking the effort that goes into summing and paraphrasing down a lot of fluff into actionable material to execute at the table, and how flexible the canvas is to do whatever it is you wish with the more straightforward template.
>>97825749Based that she heard "ACKS is a shit game with an even more shit fanbase" and immediately thought "BASED BASED BASED"
>>97825729hello Penn. >>97828031fishfag, displaying your low ESL skills is not helpful for you.ACKS is based and OSR2e is not OSRtotal BROSR victory
The ACKS shills are in the thread, nothing of value will be posted after this point. Evacuate and do something better with your time.
>>97828941I think I'll stay here and discuss ACKS in this newly annexed brOSR territory, actually!
>>97815182>ton of detailoh no please, my memory is bad
Ever been called out for your shitty worldbuilding?
>>97831850>Made in AbyssAh, a pedofur!
>>97791782Yes, AI calls me out for it constantly when I demand it to check my new setting
>>97791970Ironically ^ This
>>97833622Oh yeah what does it call you out on? Extremist views?
>>97791782>tfw my kink is plate tectonic accurate fantasy worldsIt's almost as rare as dragons fucking cars.
I do.
>>97831790At the time, that was already considered so significant that it was declared impossible to balance the two against each other and the wizard class was relegated to theorycrafing charop bullshit threads. I didn't see another wizard at the table until 4th edition came out, and even then just one because the stigma was so severe. And it's ironic that warlock killed the sorcerer class, when it came out...
>>97830146If they ever were the same it was long before my time. They have been separated but similar since before I was born.
>>97830146I still think Sorcerer is male, Mage is female
>>97833185Wizard was far more popular than sorcerer in 3.5, largely because beyond the first few levels the advantages of being a wizard became considerably pronounced, particularly earlier access to higher level spells. At higher levels, the whole "more spells and not having to prepare them" advantages were just not that important compared to the jumps in power that each higher level of spell granted.
Wizard is basically just "wise man" and sorcerer comes from "sortarius", which is a fortune teller.
Recently I found some Humanity Fuck Yeah YouTube videos that use AI voice narration on my feed. After using them as background noise while cleaning my apartment I found that that most of them are more or less the same. Humans are the only ones who know how to fight/love sex/survive/etc. How can we save the genre or reinvent it so it isn't so stale?
>>97833819I wouldn't, actually, because I want my own species to continue to survive and thrive, regardless of whatever flaws we might possess. I see no reason to extend that to stupid cat people intended to appeal to fetishists from a shitty movie that was basically dances with wolves in space.
>>97833850So your standard of "if you don't use every single resource, you deserve to get killed by someone who does" stops applying as soon as your own group would be negatively affected by it. Who could've seen that coming?
>>97833778Ah, a man of culture. I too love a good pulpy space epic, though I had not expected to see one mentioned here.
>>97833778>>97833885Star Control 2 should be required playing for any sci-fi fag.
>>97833866I am not so attached to any philosophy or viewpoint that I would prefer to see humanity go extinct rather than be somewhat hypocritical and carve out an exception for my own species. I mean, I'm a member of that species and I'd rather not be exterminated. What all this has to do with the Navi being annoying otherkin bait, Avatar being a shit movie with a terrible underlying philosophy, and it being in humanity's best long-term interest to colonize the milky way is beyond me though.
So what are you working on?>Why should I homebrew?/tg/ products are fairly unique in that it's actually pretty simple to make them these days, with a plethora of products to assist in making and playtesting your game. >>97828661>Grindcore movieFrindcore is an offshoot of Death Metal; it is a music genre. The term you are fumbling for is "Grindhouse", and desu, I'd call it more of a shlock horror than a , and I'm not sure it meets the grindhouse criteria because that's about it getting a double-bill back to back release at cheap cinemas.I'd call it more "Shlock Horror".Being a Chud myself, I don't care what they call me.
>>97825022D20 needs some decently big numbers for mods to matter more than dice. Anything less than +11 means the dice roll probably matters a lot more than the mods. And this is before getting into what you want your target numbers to be. If you want mods to matter more than rolls you're probably gonna wanna do 3D6 where the majority of rolls will land within a smaller average range, where +1 actually matters a lot more than +1 in a D20 system.

I believe in Masanori. There will be another cour. This can't be the end.

Can I play MTG without any DEI cards at all? Are they purposely made better gameplay wise? If I like the older art (at the very least of 2000s and earlier) will I have to spend a lot of money? Are those older cards power crept hard?

>>97833484By Legion Terminators I mean your run of the mill Heavy Assault Terminators. Back in 1.0 when Cataphractii and Tartaros weren't even 2 separate army list entries they were just called Legion Terminators. Basically everything else in the list was also Legion (insert unit), presumably because the game still technically used the 6th Edition ruleset and they had to differentiate the Legion list from the 40k SM list.

>mimimi, humans don't have their own feature, mimimi, we have to invent somethingNecromancy right here. When was the last time you saw non-human necromancer, lich or vampire? That's right, they practically don't exist because other races are simply inferior when it comes to necromancy and those non-human undead are so pathetic that everyone forgets about their existence in 5 minutes . Except for that one orc, but even he understood that he was worthless and therefore got himself a human body to finally become a full-fledged lich. So yes, here is your feature humans - necromancy, you know that I am right, you can't run away from the truth forever.
>>97817316Nigga, which famous necromancers/undead does tabletop have aside from fucking Vecna and Strahd? Tabletop is too niche of a medium for this thread and necromancers/vampires in every other medium blow this shit out of the water if you rate by relevance.

Most character models are way to overpriced, even for gw and the gounts are just...the gaunts exist purely to add 30 dollars to the price tag.... i would unironically prefer if they just had a bunch of plastic trees as terrain if they're gonna do that. I also thought it would be a 5 man elite team, not a 10 man, which jacks the cost up more....Would be best if it was just 5 catachans vs. red terror, 110 dollars.
