GW has done an excellent job of letting people know they should print their own minis, and consult their own rules, They don't really have anything left except going to this MTG style hype it up until its completely done setup, I don't know what to say except congratulations for defending the shittiest iteration of WFB so far

This is the hill you wanna die on? When TCGs still exist only because they are the purest form of exploitation + gambling in boardgames? And more exploitative than casino card games?
>>
>>97391630
Rockstar Stitch required a whole box purchase so I had to skip that! I'm flying Frontier so I can't really take any souvenirs home.
>>
>>97391692
Bruv that brand literally (note that I am using this word as it is supposed to be used) steals trending art from twitter and pixiv, prints it on a card, and sells them like a South East Asian who finally discovers a 5 dollar pasta maker, uses it to make noodles, and sells it at 10x the price. I don't give a shit what your stance is on """"" exploitative gambling """"" or whatever the fuck kind of cheetos dust you're snorting, but debasing yourself to pay for something that you could definitively do a much better job with (resin panels, layered 3d cutouts, custom mats or sleeves, the sky's the limit) should be considered a form of self harm and immediately put under the surveillance of a mental institution. Any further form of posturing about unrelated wishwash past this post will be considered trolling and rightfully ignored and dealt with appropriately.
>>
>>97391718
Well, not to worry. If you decide to get into the game, he's not too hard to get since they reprinted him in Fabled. The promo would have been worth more, likely, but that only matters if you're a collector/investor. I'd recommend checking your local card store to see if they have a league night, and play a few rounds to see if it grabs you.

It's not as big of a stretch as one would assume. We're talking about biological, ecological, sociocultural, and theological distinctions not shared by the other side. It's like explaining light to the blind.
>>
>>97332011
It's banned in my version of Gensokyo.
>>
>>97389934
>It's like explaining light to the blind
Blind people can understand that light exists and that other people can see it just fine, they just can't share the experience directly, which is not actually required for there to be an understanding between the sighted and the blind.

Meanwhile, corpo guy doesn't get what Eywa is because he simply doesn't want to hear it, not because he's fundamentally incapable of understanding it. He's got every incentive to ignore Weaver's blabbing and get those sweet profits back to his shareholders.
>>
>>97389776
>>97389898
You both omit the fact that the not-Gaia isn't a god per se, rather, it's a giant, possibly globe-spanning, neural network with a consciousness that is likely alien to both the Na'Vi, albeit less so, and humans.
We're basically talking about a shrubbery-based Solaris, minus the supernatural stuff like aforementioned ocean's gravity manipulation or psychic phenomena.

>>97389979
I think if there is a fundamental inability to understand, it's between the corpos and the, well, pretty much everyone. Corpos can't and won't see anything past their bottom line.
Even mercs are just that - mercenaries, they go where the money tell them, they see and know some of it, but they don't care enough to do something, for free at least.
>>
>>97392137
Well, not a god in the supernatural sense, but do I get the distinct impression that Eywa is not only connected to the various creatures on the planet, but I suspect has been actively breeding and cross-breeding them, and perhaps outright genetically engineering them. IE, a god in the "I created all you" sense, a bit like Dr Frankenstein in brambles

When did Magic players get so delusional? The performative outrage about UB has got to be some of the most faggy outrage ive seen in this game. If you bought/played with any secret lair cards or LotR cards then you have no room to complain about the current trajectory, this is your fault.
If you are anti UB because they dont "fit" Mtgs setting, but purchased/played Neon Dynasty, Thunder Junction, Duskmourn, Aetherdrift, or Edge then you have no media literacy because they are all basicly UB sets without an IP attached.
Stop posting like UB is the death of magic, I remember when we thought Mythic rarity was going to be the end and now look at this bullshit. Its going to keep going on until people are done playing the game and move to something else, and theres not a single TCG right now that could take its place.

Why is there so much whinging about 'No Games' on this board? I understand that those who come here solely with the intention of discussing tropes and the like can be frustrating to deal with, but there seem to be some folks here who make it their mission to drop bursts of negativity in threads they should've known would enrage them. And even in these threads that hold more general discussion, I don't see how nearly all of them are not at least tangentially related to traditional gaming.

Yeah, I don't feel too bad about it, it doesn't really make sense to have more than one heroica set when the board is common pieces and most of the figs are available for pennies. Maybe ganrash had a really cool rules twist, though......

Welcome to the Old School Renaissance General, the thread dedicated to first-decade, Gygaxian D&D, its faithful modern clones, and content created for use with them. Later editions (2e and newer) should be discussed elsewhere.

Broadly, OSR games encourage a tonal and mechanical fidelity to Dungeons & Dragons played as intended by its creators from 1974 to 1983 — less emphasis on linear adventures and overarching metaplots and a greater emphasis on player agency.

If you are new to the OSR, welcome! Ask us whatever you're curious about: we'll be happy to help you get started. We also have two excellent beginner guides created by Anons with feedback from the thread that you can check for help:

>Why B/X lacks % in lair?
As Anon said, it's not clear – my personal theory is that it's ultimately because of the division into Basic and Expert. No, hear me out: B/X is premised on the idea that only dungeon crawling elements of the game are explained in Basic (those being the most fundamental parts of D&D gameplay) and the wilderness exploration elements are detailed in Expert, once the PCs are of a level to cope with them. A consequence of this is that the % in Lair stat would make no sense in Basic – it's not used by any systems, so it would only be confusing (to brand-new referees!) for it to be present in Basic. Moldvay very reasonably cut it. But this created a problem for Cook when he went to write Expert: lots of monsters now have no % in Lair stat, including ones you'd expect to have them like orc and goblin tribes. Does he just put a table in summarizing this stat for all Basic monsters? Or does he reprint every Basic monster that might appear in the wilderness, in full? You see the issue. I think he just went ahead and cut the stat, for ease and consistency.
>>
>>97390578
I honestly thought Simulacrum Anon used the OD&D rules straight off so they're adapted to 5-mile hexes. In any case I agree with Anon saying just not to bother with any kind of conversion. Play them as-is.

I think it comes down to what kind of aesthetic you're looking for. If you look for the Kli-San on MMF you'll find a tank that proxies to a russ rather well, and I've seen people resin print those.

What tanks have you printed so far?

I'm looking to print one soon, just trying to work out hollowing, and drain holes for the mini atm. It'll be a week or so until the resin I want to use is in, but I'll post an update when I do.

These look sick, what kind of resin are you using?

I've been looking at trying out ABS-like resin for my next purchase, has anyone had experience with it?
