Lol? Funny calling another guy out for his racism while being racist yourself.
The goblin girl is just a generic quirky chungus cute girl with unusual facial features that are presented in an attractive way, like all goblin girl art.

How do players in your groups, including yourselves if you play rather than GM, react to authority figures in your games? Are they happy to play along and do what they're told, or do you find that they try to rebel against whoever's in charge of them at any opportunity?

>Traditional Games?
This is a thread about how players react to authority figures in tabletop roleplaying games, a type of traditional game.
>You first.
When STing Vampire the Masquerade for my group (last session was about a month ago, we went on hiatus for Christmas) I find that they really chafe whenever the Prince demands anything of them and they are almost more interested in dismantling the local Camarilla so that they no longer need to follow orders than they are in the jobs that the Prince gives them.
>What system?
In my case, the system is Vampire the Masquerade 20th Anniversary, but the question is system neutral.
>What setting?
In my case, the setting is the World of Darkness, but the question is setting neutral.
>Post this in a general.
This is a generic topic without any focus on any specific system or setting that has a general, therefore I do not think that there is an appropriate general for this thread.
>>
You do not need to justify yourself for the irredeemable spergs who shoot catchphrases at any thread op on this board like the subhumans they are anon. Just posting the first line would have been enough.

Gaia is the spirit of Creation. As in the spiritual reflection of the world the Elohim made. Just like the spirit of a fox is a reflection of a fox.
>>
>>97393926
>>97394004
This is however slightly boring and though correct I would just like to picture Gaia as a very irresponsible mother.
>>
>>97393926
Maybe Gaia can only make Spirits of such a nature because that's her own nature as the top Spirit? Thus it's autism all the way down
>>
>>97394101
You're welcome to, if that's your prerogative. However, the only real 'fact' that is known about her is that she is the spirit of the Earth and its Penumbral Realms. Whether she's a Celestine or something more, whether she made the Triat or was made by the Triat, whether she was the seraph Ziana before she became Gaia and the World Tree, whether Gaia dwells in Pangaea or the Summer Country or in both locations and possibly others simultaneously, all of this is speculative.
>>97394312
Only if you subscribe to the theory that she is responsible for the creation of all spirits, which isn't necessarily true. In the end, as a spirit, she's defined by her nature just like all of the others, for better or worse.
>>
>>97394376
>speculative
The Ananasi get told what happened by Ananasa, who was like, there. Ananasa may not tell her children everything, but she rarely if ever outright lies - at least not without a very good reason.
So, per that, Gaia is a creation of the Wyld. The first and most brilliant of the Wyld's children, who allowed the Weaver and Wyrm to alter her too.

(Plus the back of the book, as an out of character narration, says that the Ananasi are pretty much correct about the origins of the universe.)

>>

>>

Otherway around. People who played in it wanted to run it or possibly wanted to see how they could have won.
>>

No, dumbass. You said that you shouldn't play in a module you've read before. Therefore, if you've ever run a module, you can never play in a game featuring that module ever again. I know you can understand how retarded that is.

Rebellions in 40k usually happen on a single world, or within a very limited region, and are often isolated before they can spread.

In Star Wars, the rebels are far weaker than the Empire, but because hyperdrives are easy to obtain and relatively safe, they can carry out guerrilla tactics. By contrast, the Imperium in 40k doesn’t have a rebel problem as severe as the Galactic Empire did, because warp travel is terrible and can't really do it without a Navigator

so if the Imperium ever figures out a truly safe form of faster-than-light travel, it would face horrific rebel problems all across the galaxy.

That's not it at all. It's that they are working with tech from 20,000 years ahead of our future, but with our level of understanding about tech. If you asked someone to explain why a computer worked, or give them all the parts to make one, they couldn't do it. Now imagine what the tech of the far far future will look like. Early 40k describes tech being crystalline just to hammer home what level of advanced sophistication it has (they ditched that because it looks dumb). The AdMech need their prayers not because they worship nuts and bolts, it's how they've kept the memory of how basic shit operates alive for millennia.
>>
>>97345238
most rebellion happen because living in the Imperium sucks
>>
>>97345238
Most rebelions happens because planetary ruler sucks and is overthrown in pesant revolt or planetary ruler believe he can get richer by secedding from Imperium. Chaos gets involved later.
Outside Horus Heresy no big rebelion was because of Chaos, Nova Terra decided they rule Imperium now and entire segmentum followed, Reign of Blood just administratum chief turned pope decided he want more power, no chaos influence, Badab? tax issue and marines not complying with law, Huron became chaos lord after his rebelion was crushed.
Rebelion on planet bumpfuck nowhere? Govenor decided that paying taxes hit his bottom line and it's not like Imperium care so he stops paying taxes, or local population have enough of govenor being asshole and overthrow him.
>>
God point
>>
>>97357554
It is easy to forget, outside of Ork memes, that 40k is a universe in which belief can affect reality.

This, I think, is one of the reason humanity had an AI rebellion. Enough people anthropomorphized their tech for long enough that it became ensouled, giving it a warp presence which could then be preyed upon.

In Muh Setting I have a race that are kind of the reverse of fantasy elves in some ways. They are biologically perpetual (not the only ones who are) while also being aggressive and risk-tolerant. While they're not meant to be orc-esque or savage in how they conduct themselves with these traits, it does mean that they tend to get killed by circumstance before they benefit from that lifespan. That being said, the ones that do choose the path of a violent life and make it over a century or more in age are some of the most fearsome opponents on the planet, but at the same time the average lifespan for even the normal ones is about 150.
>>
Gee that was tough. Took about six minutes and most of that was formatting.
I can totally understand why we're pretending that it's still 1970 and there's no way roleplaying games could possibly be balanced, so why bother?

This leaves out how chaotic the chaos gods are and their fickle nature that plays into how they interact with their servants.

Some are instant simps who fall into worship, some play hard to get and think they are enlightened by their intelligence and can treat them like a tool.

It's not like the Gods are going for maximum efficiency, and often self-sabotage because of their very nature or simply because they find it amusing.

• PLEASE BUMP THE THREAD IF IT REACHES PAGE 10!

>Requesters:
• Provide good, detailed references (pictures are better than verbal descriptions), so the artists know what you're looking for.
• If you have a WIP quote the Anchor Post, and attach the WIP so your Drawfag can find you.
• Do not reply to other deliveries with a request that the artist fill your request next. This is called 'piggybacking'.
• Do not make multiple requests in the same thread and do not serially request multiple characters after a delivery. Suggesting several concepts for artists to choose from counts as making multiple requests.
• If you're unsatisfied with your completed request, please wait at least one week before you re-request. If someone follows this rule, don't waste posts by complaining about it.
• Stay on topic.

>Drawfags and Drawfags-to-be:
• Drop your tumblrs/websites/commission/etc information, but if you're dropping your commission info, please consider filling a request beforehand instead of just advertising.
• Please keep AI deliveries to the /slop/ threads. This is a thread for human-made art.

Fire dragons emit fire.
Ice dragons emit ice.
But there are dragons which we do not speak of...

>there are animals called dragons, which fly in the air, swim in water, walk on land; and sometimes when they travel through the air they are lustfully aroused and drop their sperm into wells and flowing waters. This causes a year of plague.

From the Golden Legend, a medieval compendium of the lives of saints. Dragons appear often in it.
