>>97385984>1975 solo rules in The Strategic Review by Gygax.Fair! I was hoping for a long lost solo play report or similar.>>97388482These unkind words are entirely unnecessary. Additionally, Gygax way know for running and playing at tables with ten or more players. Rather the opposite of solo gaming in my mind.

>>97392859>But my actual suggestion is to follow ANY instructions very cautiously (or don't even follow them at all) and instead dry fit all the parts first to figure out the best orderMy dude if you put shit together without dry fitting it first then you deserve to have such a difficult time building
>>97392867I dry fit a small amount of parts - e.g 2-3 at the time, here you fucking have to dry fit half if not the entire sphere first
>>97392877now I'm not saying the instructions aren't bad, because they arebut a basic glance at the picture you posted shows the pieces are going to be a problem later since the heads all overlay where the next piece goes
>>97392886I'm not saying this isn't on me for not paying enough attention either but this is the first time (for me) when the official build guide is just absolutely fucking wrong (I've seen small missteps like with killy butcher but nothing completely FUBAR, until now) so I didn't have that many reasons to doubt the instructions in their entiretyJust wanted to warn others to not make the same mistakes as I didBesides this one no other KDM mini gave me as much trouble tbqh
>>97392918No biggie, here's the ones I know of>Lonely Tree skips steps>Gorm penis should be put on while putting the back half on the front half, not after it's already glued>Sunstalker tongue should be put on sooner so you don't hate yourself>Killy butcher base should be done last, not first, due to the centipede blocking his cape>Ignore gambler's ball entirely, dryfit with stickytack before doing a gluebtw I'm pretty sure with your ball you could have trimmed down the slots that insert into the holes to be able to force the pieces in at an angle instead of having to cut parts off.
Some /tg/-related funny images and comics. YMMV.

>>97290361Love Peter Jackson portrayal, although I think he goes a little to heavy on the armor at times. Dragon's Dogma had a nice interpretation of them, clearly visually inspired by LotR films.>>97328676>>97372937WoD's portrayal of the old Orcs was fun, but also demonstrates one of the problems with changing Orcs from a classic monster race to one that's capable of making moral choices. Cause if you do that an then try to keep all the fun barbarian raider orc tropes, you end up with something far far more problematic than just sticking to the classic always evil monsters. So yeah, kind of fun, but Orcs have been a mess since, I dunno, TBC.

Welcome to /wbg/, the official thread for the discussion of in-progress settings for traditional games. Here is where you go to present and develop the details of your worlds such as lore, factions, magic and ecosystems. You can also post maps for your settings, as well as any relevant art (either created by you or used as inspiration for your work). Please remember that dialogue is what keeps the thread alive, so don't be afraid of giving someone feedback or post whatever relevant input you might have!Last thread: >>97165346Resources for Newfags: https://sites.google.com/view/wbgeneral/Worldbuilding links: https://pastebin.com/JNnj79S5 (embed) (embed)https://cryptpad.fr/pad/#/2/pad/view/Eo+fK41FKVR7xDpbNO0a0N4k0YYxrmyrhX3VxnM14Ew/Fantasy map generator: https://watabou.itch.io/medieval-fantasy-city-generator/wbi/: https://discord.gg/6ZjEc7dy4TWorldbuilding Hub: https://discord.com/invite/wGjxK3YThe Writer's Forge: https://discord.com/invite/CUxHxWqTira: https://discord.com/invite/f52W6KgComment too long. >Urban Fantasy setting>Post Apocalyptic War between modern scientific civilization and the Dark Lord's ancient empire>Single superpower that won the War reigned dominant for nearly two centuries, now decaying due to psychotic power struggles between the camps of populist strongmen and everyone else>Everyone knows this is the best chance to make a move, nobody wants to be the first>Mutually Assured Destruction inevitable due to orbital laser arrays, ICBMs, AI drone swarms on the science side and dragons on the magic side Since nobody can officially make War anymore, but everyone has both means and motive to do so, the world is torn apart by non-stop genocides and terrorist acts done by so-called non state actors that are being funded and sometimes controlled by one of the many states. The dishonesty and secrecy is honestly more chaotic than actual war.
>>97390659>>>97375909 (You)>honestly depending on the setting the power dynamic between those two is so great, that any relationship forming would have to avoid really hard to not become fucked up.>Like imagine a relationship with someone who can just rewrite your personality with a thought. So he can force her to be happy? Previous thread: >>97295718GURPS is a modular, adaptable system, capable of running a wide range of characters, settings, and play styles, with a level of detail varying from lightweight to completely autistic.Optional rules allow you to emulate different genres with a single system, or even switch genres within a single game.A nearly complete archive of GURPS books can be found by using the image. Never post direct links to the archive anywhere in plain text.If you're wondering where to start:- The Basic Set covers everything, including a lot of optional rules you probably won't use.- A genre guide can be found in the archive, under Unofficial/GURPSgen. It tells you what extra books and articles you may find useful for many common genres.- How To Be a GURPS GM is a good read even for players.- GCS (gurpscharactersheet.com) is an excellent character-builder software, with page references to all the books and the option to export to both Foundry and Fantasy Grounds.Thread question: what's the best classic GURPS cover art?

Would people be able to tell your character is a "tough guy" just from first glance?
I usually DM, but sometimes I play 5e, sadly. The character is a rather stereotypical half-orc barbarian, so I'd say yes.
Yes.
>>97389925Depends on the DM. Some DMs have NPCs act appropiately to your characters appearance, (fear, negotiation, falling back and getting re-inforcements, surrender, hiding and avoidance, etc) while some DMs take the Fallout route, having two unarmoured 1st level mooks armed with sticks trying to take on your huge heavily armed and armoured character and escorting retinue, because the stupid module they are running says so.
>>97389925if your characters looks aren't inherently deceiving that's a NGMI
>>97389925Haha, no. He looks like some Shoujo femboy. About the only threatening thing about him is his height- he's over six feet tall. And considering he talks like a bored nerd that doesn't really connect with normal people, it's not like talking to him feels all that threatening either.
I've found from the grapevine that Jes Goodwin is soon to retire from Games WorkshopHe really is the king. His concept sketches and absolutely timeless work on mk7 Space Marines and the Eldar particularly are worthy of the highest praise. His influence will be sorely missed, though with how miniatures are often 3+ years in the pipeline before being seen on shelves, his legacy will continue.
>>97375433he's in his 60s, so retirement age (for boomers like him anyway, not for us)
>>97375094>Isn't Mark 10 visually nearly the same thing as Mk 4 'Maximus' armourMark 10 copied the grille pattern from Mark 4 but the 10's face is completely flat (flatter than any armour mark) while the Mark 4 has a very distinctive "snout" that IIRC is only beaten by Mark 6's beak, which gives it a very different appearance to the Mark 10. I can see where the confusion comes from though, those Imperial Armour front profile views that you see all over the place don't capture the 3D-ness of the Mark 4 very well and make it look more similar to the Mark 10 than it actually is.
97374627Doesn't even deserve a (you), fucking amateur hour.
