Hi newfag hereI haven't played Yu-Gi-Oh cards since primary school back in 2007But I think I would like to star collecting before Logan Paul blows this game's card pricesWhat PSA 10 cards do you recommend will have good value in the future?
>>97833006None. Unlike most other games, this one has a very aggressive reprint policy that basically ensures that every card's value will nosedive as soon as they're reprinted. You could maybe try for the upcoming overframes since those are more-or-less tailored for collectors, but Logan Paul's efforts to hijack this game will not succeed.
>>97833006>What PSA 10 cards do you recommend will have good value in the future?Serial cards once they release in the West
>>97833033>Serial cards once they release in the WestDo you think Konami loves us that much?
>>97833036No, but KoA loves money. They might reprint overframes, tho
Welcome to the Old School Renaissance General, the thread dedicated to first-decade, Gygaxian D&D, its faithful modern clones, and content created for use with them. Later editions (2e and newer) should be discussed elsewhere.Broadly, OSR games encourage a tonal and mechanical fidelity to Dungeons & Dragons played as intended by its creators from 1974 to 1983 — less emphasis on linear adventures and overarching metaplots and a greater emphasis on player agency. If you are new to the OSR, welcome! Ask us whatever you're curious about: we'll be happy to help you get started. We also have two excellent beginner guides created by Anons with feedback from the thread that you can check for help:>n00b DM's Guidehttps://pastebin.com/EVvt6P0B>n00b Player's Handbookhttps://pastebin.com/XALkXkV0>Troves, Resources, Blogs, etc:http://pastebin.com/9fzM6128Comment too long. >>97832722While most of the details are in the document, the main thing is that peeps will be part of a team consisting of T'au, Drukhari, Kroot, and Sslyth player characters, working for a criminal syndicate that focuses on profit above all, and is trying to take and hold territory for the second time in its existence (the first time didn't work out too well). Special Forces in that you're an elite member of the syndicate's enforcer / mercenary division, performing top secret missions for the leadership to secure territory, get paid, and make a name for yourselves. There's something big out there to find, are you badass enough to charge in guns blazing? In your downtime, you can spread the syndicate's corruption through the galaxy. This isn't Chaos corruption in the spiritual sense, but things like Intimidation, Piracy, Kidnapping, Racketeering, Bribery, Militia Manipulation, Black Marketing, and Slavery operations through ground, space, and mass combat operations. You can also join the fight to secure territory in Commorragh, for more bonuses and plunder. You have an entire sector to exploit. Or you could just go fishing. I won't judge.I expect it to be a shorter game, dependent on how many missions peeps want to undertake. While the main objective from my perspective is to test out a bunch of the new careers I made, I do want peeps to have fun akin to Scarface meets James Bond with near limitless options. And for other peeps, recruitment is still open. There's still plenty of space for peeps. You can find all the info in:https://mega.nz/file/ouBF2LLB#tFmXpsdvKA3M6c_aopuJC8Wj1zu_IIDc_5S6rK_Va5A

>>97832710>The mounted combat rules in 3.5It's been a while since I last read those, but from memory, all the intelligent mount vs trained mount aside, and the ride checks associated with that, you and your mount essentially get your individual turns as normal, and the rider is carried by the mount's movement. Meaning that it's a decent way to get movement + full attack.Right?I also remember something about a relatively low ride check to not fall off of the mount when struck.
>>97832900You're half right. Page 157 of the PHB gets into it. I'll assume a trained warhorse rather than trying to get a normal horse or an intelligent mount into combat. It's a DC 5 ride check to guide the mount and keep your hands free. If your mount moves more than 5 feet, you can only make a single melee attack. If the mount charges, you get the attack bonus at the end of the charge but also get the AC penalty. You count as every square the mount occupies (and most mounts for Medium characters are Large), but threaten from its range and get a +1 bonus from the high ground.
>>97832985>>97832900thanks for pointing out where the rules are.>>97832710>Don't forget the horse gets to make an attack as well.he is using the Ride-By attack feat to strike in middle of his movement and ride on past the target. The horse is a standard skeleton heavy warhorse and doesn't have any feats that would allow it to attack in middle of a move action, so I assume with this combo it doesn't get to make any attacks.
>>97832985>ou count as every square the mount occupies (and most mounts for Medium characters are Large), but threaten from its range and get a +1 bonus from the high ground. That's pretty cool.
>>97833011Ah, right. I think I was getting it mixed up with the rules where you used to be able to Overrun as part of a Charge as well. No attacks for the horse then, unless you manage to line up a shot where he does a ride-by on one player then ends up next to another one for the horse to attack/Bull Rush.

>>97829260It’s at a bar dude. Nobody is playing heavy games there
As a Race fan I thought Roll was one of the most disappointing games I'd ever played, saying it's better than Splendor is nutty
>>97832942I agreee it was rather disappointing, but it's better than splendor for sureThat said, I'd still play splendor over it just for how quick it is set up and played. Not that roll requires all that much, but it sure is fiddlier. I've also learned through Roll that rolling small dice is somehow nowhere near as statisfying as rolling standard ones. I wonder where in the dice size chart the curve goes down again
>>97828601>>97830420Already grabbed myself a copy. I'm a sucker for theme and cyberpunk/cyberpunk-adjacent material. The syndicates as suits that alter the behavior of the shared pool also seemed really neat to me.Also off topic but relevant, I've been disappointedly watching Marathon's questionable launch success. Its got a similar-ish aesthetic, and a habit of mine is to try and capture more transient experiences in amber. Boardgames strike me as great medium for that given I can still be playing them in a decade or two if I look after them.At least I get a dose of cyberpunkish material to keep in amber I guess, to compensate for Marathon's likely transience./end of unsolicited monologue

>>97832338Agreed with >>97832446 the only hard exception I think should be Hammerers as their position would be far more conducive for uniformity, but even then maybe varied pauldrons or some small detail for clan affiliation.Warriors, Miners, Thunderers, Quarrelers, Slayers, Rangers, Longbeards, Gyrocopters, Engineers, Artillery Crews, they're entirely plausible to be going to war all begarbed in all sorts of various kit down to a homemade gambeson from their rinns.Saying that, it's /yourdudes/, if you can fluff them for it all the better and to hell with anyone who says that they have to be uniformed.
>>97832338>>97832446>>97832760Also agree. Hammerers and Ironbreakers wouldn’t work because they get their gear from the hold itself, so they should be uniform and professional. But basically anyone that isn’t them could plausibly be wearing varying amounts of their own gear and especially own clothing.

>>97828430I don't get it, what did you think the phrase meant? What could "intensive" mean in this context that makes sense?
>>97828430Hello?
>>97829270The same thing that every American thinks when they say "I could care less" when they try and express that they couldn't care less about something. Which is that they don't think anything about the individual words they are saying, they're using what is an idiom to them because they've heard other people do the same thing a billion times, even though English is their first language and they could easily recognize the mistake if they thought about it for a moment. You can take this to mean niggas is retarded if you want, but really people just don't think very hard about the language they use.
A few years ago, I've homebrewed a TTRPG Hero system, from 0. Obviously with a few bases (It was mostly based on GURPS or the 1d100 system wise). For an arts project that I graduated with and even got an interview for it.The world was about a post-apocalyptic metallic, chromium world. All cities became underground after the bombs, hyper advanced technology and history was lost to the nuclear disaster. But nowadays they're sort of recovering technologies on the surface and building surface cities of shiny and smooth metal. The huge point of the setting was that some people had radioactive or mutant powers appeared in different circumstances and some of them either become heroes or villains. But knowing that the world is still unknown and super dangerous. The whole system was point based that they would have some starter powers or mutations, but the more exposed they become to radiation, they will have either good or bad traits or powers but also an ''ego'' or moral compass. Excuse me if it sounds strange, I'm ESL, and it's been years since I've talked about this old project. Created in a fit of passion and 'tism
>>97829270>I don't get it, what did you think the phrase meant? What could "intensive" mean in this context that makes sense?I don't know. I think >>97830701 might have the right of it and it's that I never paid enough attention to the individual words or really thought about what I was saying.I do know why I said>Jesus fuck, I maybe actually be retarded.Instead of>Jesus fuck, I MIGHT actually be retarded.I was drunk.
Pendragon Thread! What's the deal with 6E?
So my knight in the GPC I am playing in just got an Amor passion from a peasant woman and when I rolled the Amor number the GM said it SHOULD be just a d6 but permitted any 6 to explode, roll another d6 and keep adding until no more 6s are rolled. Ended up getting that Amor up to 14 and crit succeeded a Lustful check. Guess my first born will be with a peasant women.

>>97827567Are evil woman more sexually aggressive/assertive?
>>97832542Not really. No biological woman has any genuine sexual interest in any man. Sex is entirely a commodified, transactional, activity. Man puts in resources (money, attention, etc), and when the woman feels like it, she will choose to output sex. But like a skinner box, she outputs only rarely or at random, so that you keep giving her resources in hopes that this time you'll get lucky. They're basically just ammoral slot machines who talk back, when you think about it. An "evil" woman would be no different, except perhaps to enjoy the suffering of everyone putting resources into the skinner box a bit more than a normal woman.

>>97832921Interesting. So any possible combination of characters that involved "puckee" and the number "21" are blocked as spam, regardless if there is a space or carriage return between them. The only way to get it though is to put actual characters between them, and it has to be at least 3 characters, because even just putting 2 periods after "puckee" caused the post to be blocked. So there's definitely mod team interference happening here, because there's no reason whatsoever why a legitimate spam filer would catch this.
>>97832933The stuff he's commissioning is technically competent, and gets the point across. There's nothing really inspiring or emotive about it, but purely as an art piece, it's fine. No good, not great, but not actually mediocre or actively bad.The problem is that this art keeps being posted, over and over again, and usually in the OP of a thread asking an inane open-ended question about things unrelated to any specific gaming system. So everyone but the mods (and presumably puckee(no space)21 himself) are thoroughly fucking sick of seeing it. Not least because the inane threads push other threads off the board whole serving no useful purposes to the community. So the art is fine. It's mostly guilt by association at this point. If puckee(nospace)21 just posted the art occasionally in relevant threads and didn't do what he's doing with new threads using the art in the OP, no one would really care all that much.
