What is the correct way to handle female priestess? Historically women weren't part of the clergy, so you don't have a lot of references to drawn from in regards to their attitude.

Would love to share some YTers I like to use for inspiration. Looking for anyone you find helpful. Preferably smaller creators and not restricted to 5e. I’ll submit three that I really enjoy while I’m doing prepFirst I’ll submit is Desk and Dorks. The channel is made by a medieval historian and combines his knowledge of subjects to enhance games. I particularly like his take on Bronze Age fantasy and building better town guards
>>97249098I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing that he only produces quicker reviews of games, but extended time playing a system gives you more insight into it. More time with different mechanics and maybe a chance to understand something that wasn't immediately apparent from a quick read-through. For some people, that weakens the value of his opinions.In-depth review is not unthinkable, but it IS silly because TTRPGs are not reviewable in the same way that video games are. There's no fixed scenario or repeatable scenario, unless you're reviewing a module or campaign, but that's different than doing a thorough exploration of every mechanic and rule in the game. It would very rapidly get redundant and many things would get qualified as "depending on how things go at your table" or whatever. In any case, you don't click on a 5 minute video expecting the reviewer to exhaustively pick apart every page and every edge case and contingent possibility. Broad strokes and specific examples where necessary can get the job done with far less wasted time.

Previous thread: >>97111514GURPS is a modular, adaptable system, capable of running a wide range of characters, settings, and play styles, with a level of detail varying from lightweight to completely autistic.Optional rules allow you to emulate different genres with a single system, or even switch genres within a single game.A nearly complete archive of GURPS books can be found by using the image. Never post direct links to the archive anywhere in plain text.If you're wondering where to start:- The Basic Set covers everything, including a lot of optional rules you probably won't use.- A genre guide can be found in the archive, under Unofficial/GURPSgen. It tells you what extra books and articles you may find useful for many common genres.- How To Be a GURPS GM is a good read even for players.- GCS (gurpscharactersheet.com) is an excellent character-builder software, with page references to all the books and the option to export to both Foundry and Fantasy Grounds.Thread question: How often do you use an official GURPS setting? Which are your favorites?
>>97257785What about melee? Again, you can't tell me an experienced mercenary or knight doesn't have a 100% hit chance (barring critical/automatic fails) against an opponent provided he's just trying to strike him instead of aiming for a specific body part or gap in the armor.
>>97258000If anything the skills should be lower for melee, consider that you're intrinsically using Guns skill against hefty penalties and they're still no higher than that
>>97258000Rank-and-file soldier = skill 12Elite soldier = skill 15The realistic templates for noble warriors in GURPS Crusades have skill 15. The ones for commoner warriors in GURPS Warriors have skill 12 or 15.
>>97257762Against an opponent of roughly equal skill, your odds of hitting with a melee attack are usually in the 25-50% range regardless of what skill level you have, because defences rise along with attack skill and the best attack option is usually to lower your effective skill to about 11-12 with a deceptive attack. For landing blows to the face or neck, the 'optimal' skill level against an opponent of equal skill seems to be about 15.In a boxing match you would generally expect that 20-30% of punches would 'land'. This is roughly consistent with GURPS moderately skilled (12-15) fighters making a mixture of deceptive attacks, dual 'weapon' attacks, and targeted attacks to the face, arms, or vitals along with extensive use of retreats, evaluates, and defensive attacks.
>>97258000>you can't tell me an experienced mercenary or knight doesn't have a 100% hit chance (barring critical/automatic fails) against an opponent provided he's just trying to strike himAgainst a completely unresisting target, when he can use all-out-attack determined and telegraphic attack, virtually anyone (skill 8 or better) can reliably (98%+) land strikes against something the size of a human torso and a skilled (12+) fighter can do it two or even three times a second. Against a moving target which is actively defending, while you have to defend yourself, performance drops dramatically and failure to connect becomes quite common even after slowing attacks to once every couple of seconds as you use feints and evaluates to increase your odds of success.Sports fighters might 'land' maybe one blow every 5-10 seconds and they are highly skilled, usually only trying to connect lightly, and not fearing for their lives!

But goddamn does>We can't fight slavers because they'd have slaves and if they have slaves, the poor ignorant players won't be able to help themselves from taking part in simulated human traffickingnail the corporate overseer mindset on the head. "We cant have slavers, there will be slaves in the game. If there are slaves, there are people who will become slavers. This is bad for our product's and our business's reputation." It's literally why all Fallout games post 3 dont have slaves or slavers.
>>97258053My schizo theory is that game companies are getting rid of Slavery in their games because they tapped into the zeitgeist that modern corporate policy is just a more elaborate form of slavery. We stopped selling people because it's easier to pay them a barely-livable wage and convince them it's *their* fault they're poor.
>>97257564>christian demons or hellYou are extremely wrong because you are implying that Christianity is the only religion with a concept of demons or hell, when both are universal concepts.Buddhist hell is very complicated, and Japan has had an interest in "Demon Lords" for quite some time. Oda Nobunaga even called himself one, in the same way Attila had the name "Scourge of God".
>>97257447>>Can barely remember any media that doesnt' have not-evil, not-succubus demonsMost things with demons have demons that are evil. There are not a ton of examples of things where even the more "sympathetic" or "complicated" demons are not still evil, deep down.
>>97258076You're overestimating them. Corporate has been told the way to support minorities is to include them in the product. Representation = Endorsement. Thus putting slavers in a product endorses slavery.

I'm afraid to expose it any longer for fear of fucking it up and when I look up videos it tells me to put some spare supports or paper in the vat BEFORE I press tank clean but I think it's too late for me now. The vat is pretty shallow but not shallow enough to see the bottom.
>>9725790021 sounds way too long, my sat4u has 14 as timing and thats a bit muchI never do the thing with the supports. With nitrril gloves you feel for a corner in the tank where the vat is bigger than the screen so the printed sheet will have ended there. Now peel it up with your finger. But if you cooked it so long it might be you need to empty it before you can get it off.
>>97257991I already felt around and found where the printed sheet is. Is there an easy way to pop up the sheet? Can i run the tank clean again after i've emptied the liquid resin to make the printed sheet easier to remove?
>>97258040running the tank clean again wont do shit, its a hardened sheet of resin. i did the exact same thing you did and had to peel it out. with gloves on you can usually kinda peel up a corner, kinda slide under it with your nail and just pull it out if that doesnt work pick up the entire vat and push with one finger from the underside of any corner and the try to pick it up, shitty do to alone but you can do it.
>>97258040>>97258052Do it like that anon told you, that is what works for me. But maybe watch out, try to lift the vat beforehand. If it sticks to the printer you have a breach in the vat and it would be better to leave the cleaning sheet and empty out the vet with it plugging the hole.
