if an eldar gets born on a corsair ship do they actually have a path or are they just basically drukhari, but with a spirit stone and less into torture and bdsm>just considering that Corsairs are corsairs because they reject the craftworlds and aren't welcome on them and most of them were former outcasts
>>97830338They wouldn't have a path, and considering that they might not have a spritit stone, probably end up as a dark eldar at some point.Though, it's probably a case where they could end up whatever. Maybe given to a exodite world and join the dino-riding hippies.
>>97819897Why is this your train of thought>>97820738>I suppose if he ever figures out the top of magic police society can use revival magic he might get a bit upsety spaghetti. We shall see. I think basic healing magic would've helped, but that's in the past. For now we're just trying to figure out our standing in the world the DM created. Also the table has good chemistry which I like.Currently, our clan's region main source of income is tariffs because we're guarding a lake with a river entering and exiting it and is a major trade road and also we are the only ones that produce kelpie/water wyverns as exotic flying and diving mounts.Right now, we have a gnome from far away city/state to negotiate tariffs with but we're also invite to a noble gathering in the form a hunt on an exotic animal.OOC This is one of those games when "what is the rate of your local fief taxes" meme actually comes true and I'm still trying to adjust to the seriousness of it compared to Arrianne campaign.>>97829009That applies to coomers and sloppers too, and sadly they won't listen either.
Given that every Warhammer setting has a general, as well as an extranious GW special games thread for things like Bloodbowl and Middle Earth SBG, perhaps Warhammer elves don't belong on the wholesome elf threads? They're not wholesome, after all.

>produce indie module>send it to a few youtubers who review modules and have a decent reputation for independent thought>hey, I've seen some of this guy's videos and he has never once mentioned being paid>send free copy>get email from his agent quoting a price for a reviewWhy are they all like this?
>>97816658It's illegal to review a product you were paid to review, without disclosing this. It's a form of fraud. The fact that TTRPGs and tiny YouTube channels are generally beneath the FTC's notice (especially with the current admin's pro-crime stance) doesn't change this.If the person had previously posted reviews without disclosing his material connection to the producer, then it is totally reasonable to believe he reviews things for free.
>>97817169yeah, this is how the internet previously worked and how it should work.imagine if a teenager got a real job off the back of their Newgrounds cartoons or MySpace band page. that'd be awesome! how come making internet content wasn't 'work' 20 years ago, but it is now...? people looked like beggars just for having a PayPal Donate button.

>>97829750He does both, and clearly states in the beginning of the videos if it's been sponsored, paid for, or gifted. The majority of the reviews are done for free, going over his experience either running the module or playing in the module. He has very few paid reviews. Other youtubers specialize in paid reviews, he does not. He also focuses on a few specific systems (Traveller, CoC, OSR-D&D), not indie modules.

Should casters be able to hold their own in a fight, or should they be balanced around requiring protection from martial classes?
Look what I can do!
Casters were supposed to be frail, so the frontliners were there to protect them. That was the basic assumption and it still works like that in some japanese RPGs. In western systems that the casters quickly become completely self-sufficient, if they don't start like that already.
>>97831141Puckee's characters should all be killed, no exceptions. Also that art kinda sucks.
Welcome to /2eg/, a thread dedicated to all things 2nd Edition D&D related - including settings, lore, modules, and derived systems (Alternity, Buck Rogers XXVc, For Gold and Glory, Hackmaster, Myth and Magic, and more).Since 2e draws heavily from earlier editions, older modules are welcome too. Other media derived from AD&D (such as Infinity Engine video games) also has a home here. It's what you play, not how you play it. RAW or homebrew, as long as your table is having fun, there's no wrong way to play. There's a surprisingly complete 2e fan wiki for rules stuff, it's excellent for quick reference:https://adnd2e.fandom.com/wiki/Advanced_Dungeons_%26_Dragons_2nd_Edition_Wikiad&d 2e archiveaHR0cHM6Ly93ZWIuYXJjaGl2ZS5vcmcvd2ViLzIwMjUwMjA0MTczNzUwL2h0dHBzOi8vdGhlLWV5ZS5ldS9wdWJsaWMvQm9va3MvcnBnLnJlbS51ei9EdW5nZW9ucyUyMCYlMjBEcmFnb25zL0FEJkQlMjAybmQlMjBFZGl0aW9uLw==Remember to keep things civil.Previous thread: >>97806516Comment too long. Gearhead thread but for /tg/Part of why I like to play ttrpg's is the analog aspect. I prefer to keep all digital things out of the experience. No laptops, ipads, phones at the table. Well, an exception can be made for googling something quick, but other than that, keep that shit in your pocket.I like to do my gm prep, world building, drawing maps, in notebooks. npc and character sheets etc.on paper.I really like MUJI stationery. Their notebooks are really nice, and their pens and pencils are amazing.I recently found some hex paper notebooks on amazon. That was really nice to use to draw some hex maps.Do you have any neat stationery or other analog "gear" that you really like? Could you share some of your cool items or showcase your note taking system or maps or whatever?
>>97823029>I'M NOT A PSYCHOPATH, PEOPLE ARE SIGNING UP ON WAITING LISTS TO BE FRIENDS WITH ME!Just stop anon.
>>97809050I don't really care if my players use apps/phones at the table, provided that they remain engaged with the game. If they're ready on their turn, and are actively participating, I don't care. For writing adventures, I have an Oxford college ruled notebook an Zebra Z-Grip ballpoint pens. There's something really nice about putting ink to paper.I still keep a MS Surface behind the screen to quickly look up rules though...
>>97809050I have come to preach the gospel of postcard paper! You can buy a hundred of them for some change. They're slightly thicker and less floppy than regular paper, and of a manageable size.I use whole-size for player abilities, half-sized for equipment, and quarter size for items and consumables.Players can just lay out everything they have at their disposal, flip equipment upside down when it's stowed, and toss consumables onto the table when they want to use them. They also make for good rooms in a point-crawl dungeon, and notes for dungeon specific information, which can all be stored together in a punched punched pocket.
>>97830938>I still keep a MS Surface behind the screen to quickly look up rules though...There's nothing wrong w/ doing both. Handwriting and actual books genuinely help your brain learn and engage better than screens. But screens are convenient and sometimes convenience is more important. It's good that you've got a mix, at all.

Recently I found some Humanity Fuck Yeah YouTube videos that use AI voice narration on my feed. After using them as background noise while cleaning my apartment I found that that most of them are more or less the same. Humans are the only ones who know how to fight/love sex/survive/etc. How can we save the genre or reinvent it so it isn't so stale?
>>97830373>>97830587Seriously, a lot of stuff like the whole endurance/persistence hunting meme has the exact same energy as the guy who wrote the Yasuke book, it's a lot of nonsense or outright falsehood pushed by a handful of people and then parroted because it sounds good.
>>97830587>>97830637oh no I'm well aware that notably wolves and horses also sweat extensively, and as a result are exceedingly high endurance, and even that milk is in fact a modified form of sweat so we know being able to sweat it's ancestral to mammals also I'm entirely aware of how much a meme persistence hunting was, our endurance was not a sole factor, but it did let us pursue wounded prey for extended periods to make the true gamebreaker of ranged weapons even more busted that said full body perspiration is not common among non-mammalian vertebrates and even among modern mammals it's not a widely adopted strategy since extensive fur coverage does reduce how effective it can beAnd it keeps bearing in mind that even though we're far removed from it for a lot of people, humans biologically remain savanna specialists and thus being able to cross long distances while keeping your temperature under control is still something we would be better at than aliens evolved under widely different conditionsspeaking of unusual traits, there's a good chance aliens wouldn't have milk or equivalent to it, which in turn could be considered our "really weird" trait and without the specific context of nurturing and behavioral adaptations for it, us letting our babies feed from our bodies directly could easily be considered disgusting

Pigheaded Edition>What is Trench Crusade? An alternate weird history 28mm/32mm tabletop skirmish game. Based on the art and lore of Mike Franchina, whose illustrations you may have seen floating around on /tg/ for a several years now, and designed by Tuomas Pirinen, one of the original creators of Mordheim. It's grimdark, it's visceral, and it's very Blanchitsu.>What's the QRD on the background? The Knights Templar turned heretic and opened the Gates of Hell when they took Jerusalem during the First Crusade. Over 800 years later the war is still ongoing as technology has developed to a pseudo diesel-punk WW1 standard and a third of Humanity has sided with the Infernal Princes.>How do I get started? All the files are free online:https://www.trenchcrusade.com/rules/They used to be split between the website and the discord, but no more. Prostitution is the oldest profession. It has always existed and it will always exist. The presence of prostitutes and brothels is crucial for making a game setting and world feel realistic and lived in. Otherwise, it will lack all verisimilitude. So, tell us, how have you incorporated prostitution into your game?
