Douchemachine used to be the largest competition to GW. Now look at it and laugh
>>97334752>Didn't BT get discovered by the sjw's?The biggest thing culture warriors point to for BT becoming pozzed is an unofficial fan publication.
>>97366968Not entirely true, CGL has been pushing progressive stuff for years now. Which is pretty comical when you consider that BT is a setting that is pretty amazing when it comes to everyone and everything having representation without pandering and badly written LGBTQ+ characters/plots being jammed into campaign books and novels.
>>97331077>I can't believe it actually got approved for publication.Really?
>>97367191People keep saying that, but BT is really cowboys vs injuns. Just because a single guy got canned for his even further right views doesn't change that fact. Good guys are whites, bad guys are Asians and blacks, that's about as right wing as you can get in the 80s without getting canned, and that've managed to pull that all the way to today. The only way they can pull further right is to have Davion death camps for minorities.Funnily enough, the moment CSJ became protags in MW5, the clan did a Michael Jackson. I don't think there was a single non black named character in CSJ before that.>>97360862They failed because infinity is non scalable. It's ultimately a 15 model game at 28mm scale. They should have created a game mode with bigger squads that'll force people to buy more models. You could smell their desperation when they made the bounty hunter bike a must include, along with broken tag raid models. GW won not because it has better games, but because it is a model company before a games company.
>>97344010Warcaster neo-mechanika is amazing, one of the best skirmish games I ever played. It never "collapsed" considering that PP did everything they could to not make it be a thing in the first place.
Should an elven wizard be more powerful on average than a human one? Explain your answer.
>>97367649That doesn't happen in actual systems.
>>97361209Sadly, the blandness of commissions speaks a lot about the mental illness required to develop such shitty taste. It's him.
>>97367702It's weird how they're not bad, when it comes to technical quality, but they're so immensely uninteresting that they're repulsive.Or maybe it's because repetition breeds contempt. Probably both.
>>97367746I actually really like this one.Yeah sure, maybe a bit bland, but there is nothing wrong with an honest, classic design like that.
>>97367746Indeed there is technically nothing wrong with them. It's just that the colors, the tone, facial features, atmosphere, everything that could've made the artworks shine didn't. It's like buying a lamborghini and then having it parked in your garage for the rest of it's existence. It's like buying lego then gluing the set together and putting it behind a glass panel. It's like arranging an orchestra and then telling them to rap.

>>97363875I don't believe you.
>>97294915Play your decks more, boosts hidden mmr. You'll play smarter players the more you play a deck as you win more.
>>97364831How would "target player" instead of "target opponent" behave significantly different in these game modes except opening up options in the context I mentioned? "Each player" and "each opponent" are completely different cases. Again, I never argued all cards should be worded more openly every time. Also I was talking about nonsense restrictions in general. "Target creature YOU CONTROL gets +1/+1" - why? Why one I control? It's an effect that by design is something that will already be used the intended way in 1v1. Wouldn't a more open effect also make team games more interesting? Another thing is that magic does have tons of cards that are actually worded that way. I just don't get the ones that are not
>>97365637sealed is a little more chill but also more luck based since you see less cardslimited in general you can just get fucked over by unlucky opens (and draws of course)draft is really good value if you want the cards in the set you are drafting, and okay value otherwise if you maintain a good winrate
Gotta admit I liked the Avatar set. It helps that I never saw the show and don't know anything about it so it being UB had less of an effect. But the mechanics are fun, art is good and I always liked monks in magic. Only a few busted cards imo. Fun limited. The only thing I know from the show, elemental mastery, seemed implemented well. Surprised there wasn't a black bending mechanic, like gravebending or some shit
How true is this?
>>97366029>hmm yes I have one maybe two negates in hand>let me just negate one card on my opponents field leaving 3 negates still up>instead of hitting a key searcher somewhere in the middle of their combo to minimize their end board>dependent the on which engines they're running>when yummy, branded, dracotail, exosister, maliss, vanquish soul, and others are in the metagame>meaning you won't have an ideal hand trap in every starting hand turn 1 over the course of a locals let alone a ycskys nogames
Honestly across all card games I've played so far I haven't had an experience as skill-testing as playing Doomsday
>>97364997Same with magic, which is even more braindead because of the large community dedicated to solving the meta
>>97362166Pokemon would be 3 stars at least. Also I would say MTG is 5 stars too. Especially anything EDH and Legacy
>>97362166Swap Uno and Pokemon TCG. Despite the fact that there are some basic Uno tactics you can learn, the rules of the game are extremely easy to pick up, as is figuring out how to play well.Otherwise, this looks pretty good. Modern Yu-Gi-Oh! has gotten to chess levels of having to memorize all of the lines of play for any given deck. Even if you netdeck, learning to pilot a deck requires a lot of familiarity with interactions and memorization of how to maneuver your cards together into long strings of advantageous action.
What's your theory for why all the talent is leaving Leder Games? What’s your worst/best board game break up story?
>>97363722Apparently people say it's due to covid at the time, which is still not an excuse. I'm still hopeful for NF though.
>>97364525I don't know man those new AH LCG cards are looking some type of way.
>>97366784Yeah I wondered about that, too. The 3x3s seem WAY different than before
>>97367086>Doesn't it usually say what is in the deluxe version?I got a free upgrade, didn't really check. I way just puzzled why people would pay twice the price of an already overpriced game (€80 for "classic special edition" aka the reprint) for barely anything. I mean I'm not complaining, the wooden gates are pretty cool and screenprinted anything is great, but it seemed so strange to me to upgrade 2out of basic resources for the deluxe edition and arbitrarily lock the third one behind yet another purchase. Really got me pondering what the fuck their plan is
>>97367641the reason is you can't really package metal coins inside the box. it would fuck up all the cheap plastic inserts during shippingalso the metal coins they sell are generic FeldCoin for use in all the city collection gamesreally everyone should just own one or two sets of metal coins and use them for all their games
About a decade ago we got a rumour that the Primarchs would come back (before it actually started happening).Part of that rumour was that one loyalist would turn traitor and one traitor would become a loyalist. So who's it gonna be?Picture potentially related, Angron for ants.
>>97366063>Perturabo comes back to the light because he gets cucked out of his machine empire by Vashtorr. He then immediately falls back to Chaos when he walks in and sees Dorn is back too.
>>97366030>So who's it gonna be?Alpharius turns to ChaosOmegon returns to the Emperor
GW would basic bitch out, turn guilliman to chaos because he learned what his dad meant when he made them during his meeting at the Golden throne after his resurrection. And because of general burnout having been put in stasis during the heresy, then waking up and seeing the imperium is still embroiled in never ending war thanks to the corrupt lords of terra.GW then makes titus chapter master/high lord of ultramar or whatever to take his place after they kill of calgar. Magnus is redeemed because he literally did nothing wrong when trying to psychically warn his dad about the traitors.

Try getting the brush just a very tiny bit moist before the paint and brushing the paint off on a surface instead of a paper towel. Some old board or some shit. Make sure you test it on something before applying too so you don't fuck it up.
>>97367538>>97367659NTA, seconding pine bark (I guess it's a type of wood chip?). IMO, foam is good for concrete, but not for natural terrain. Pine bark is good for rocks and logs alike.

We have all experienced the coming and going so GMs, Players and games; and then left holding the bag too start all over again at Square One. If and when you have to start over from scratch how and where (online) would you start I'll look for groups and games? There has been numerous reasons that would force someone to start all over again be it scheduling, life, work, people changing.

>>97349305get rid of dice, you must complete a series of skill based challenges in order to determine your outcomes.
>>97349305Fuck it, I bite.>First, pick a system.Sadly as much as I hate it. I would say 5e would be your best bet to get a game going. Though if you can find people who can learn to read a rulebook to learn how to play would suggest games like ACKS, or maybe "X" without number series. Since you have Worlds/Fantasy, Stars/Space, Cities/Cyberpunk, and Ashes/Post-Apocalyptic.>Second, Look for people in your area to play over online. You can do, Roll20, and online based games but would suggest getting friends together for a game in person over online. >Last, Would suggest setting time for it.What will kill a group more than anything is people who pop out often cause they don't bother setting time for it. Now things will happen, but if it become them quick to drop the game often maybe replace them before everyone else drop the time. I can understand things like kids and maybe help them with finding a sitter or something but don't let them always use the kids as a excuse to not make it and all.
