Hi everyone, my nickname is Greedo3:16 and I've been thinking about it and decided to make a custom figure of Jun Sekibayashi from the anime Kengan Ashura (since I loved the anime/manga). I chose this Blanka figure as a base; I just need to make a few modifications, cut out some parts, and paint the skin. Any advice?
>>11657243Hi greedo3:16
>>11657243The hair will probably be the hardest part, he has braids or "corn rows" curious if you could sculpt that or just use another figure with that hair style.
>>11657243If you wish to make his hair, i suggest getting some of that Greenstuff world roller stuff, some of them make thee dreads and other tendril like bits, also i suggest using the Customs general thread next time
what was your juiciest haul today?
Nothing. All my amiami preorders are delayed so I’m probably not gonna get anything until late January
>>11658065You guys don't ask for toys as gifts from your families do you?
I got $200 in cash.
>>11658065My niece got a Barbie and I was surprised they have articulation at the knee and elbow now. I did an AnthonyCustoms style review for her.
>>11658317I do!
>see interesting toy video>try watching it>the guy smacks his lips every single time he draws breath to speak
>Guy show his face in the video instead of just filming the toys and his hands>Guy beg for you to like and subscribe>Guy waste time with a product placement that everyone will skipjust review the toy faggot

>>11652536>guy smacks his lipsI do this, how do i avoid it?
>>11652769for me it's the opposite, the few black hands usually give the best reviews no BS, if it's a coomer review they give you the coomer details unbashfully, if it's an anime review they'll tell you this shit doesn't work for these other toylines, they're not autistic weaboos, their raspy voice is soothing, if something is expensive they'll call it out, they tell you if anything is shitty in the figure even if they like it. They don't care to show their faces, and they earn my respect.
Merry Christmas you filthy animals
>>11657434Merghy Crabmas /toy/!
Merry Christmas from the Fright Zone... The FRIGHT ZONE!
>>11657574Get a load of this Krampus
>>11657434What did everyone get for Christmas this year?
>>11658144Money that I'm not going to spend on anything fun, it'll probably end up going to house stuff. I also got some chocolate, a Visa gift card, a Fallout t shirt, a couple pairs of sweatpants and Marvel Legends Maximum Deadpool. I was tempted to buy myself a ML X-Men 97 Sentinel but I can't bring myself to pull the trigger. I ended up spending like $35 ish on Steam games.

>>11659049You mean what you're doing? Proof you're trolling the board. The mods will love this...
>>11659055I'm providing evidence to them that you're trolling. Hoping to get you IP Range Banned. And to think, this wouldn't happen if you just, you know, posted your collection.
>>11659058Lol, you've actually lost it. You really are a schizo.
>>11659062Woah careful now, from his patterns in the past, he will actively go to /b/ and ask people to doxx you.
Just wanted to say that finally nintendo started caring and randomly put dozens of official plushes on their store in europe. I just bought a few, are they made with good quality? They are pretty cheap, 35€ for a giant kirby
>>11654773I have a huge library so i display them close to my books, so idk, buy a new cabinet
>>11651637I know the build-a-bear Sanrio plushes have longer arms and legs than their usual designs. Their Kuromi also has a plush tail, and she has the usual seam on the back but no zipper.
>>11655325Thanks, this is the one I was looking at.
I keep seeing these 'RollyPet' plushes at stores and thinking I might get one. I eventually saw one that I couldn't resist, pic related.
>>11657746I love it. I want to squish it. Excellent choice anon
>meanwhile at Santa's workshop at the north pole
>>11655335Someone has been a good girl!
Why doesn't Hasbro remake this? This was so goatedPower of the Force is peak toy line, best star wars line ever made. Like, Mcfarlane remade Super Power collection so why not?
>>11657087>>11657130The Toys That Made Us was entertaining, but really surface level, which is probably due to the run time more than anything. Figure lines like Star Wars or MOTU or TMNT need full length documentary movies to really get where they need to go, or maybe a mini series. First episode on the origins of the toy line, second episode covering Empire and Jedi and Kenner's massive growth, third episode on the fall and rebirth with POTF 1 and 2, forth episode on Episode 1, fifth on AOTC and ROTS, and then maybe a final on Black series and Star Wars moving into 6 inch.
>>11657137>and then maybe a final on Black seriesFuck Black series. I wouldn't want them to skip some of the most interesting eras for Star Wars collecting. Really, the lines between movies like POTJ and OTC were interesting just because they kept the line alive even without a movie to push sales (and VOTC was when they started to accept that a collector's market existed), and could probably be included with each prequel episode, but no way in hell would I want them skipping the 2006-2012 era when they made leaps forward in articulation, design and sculpting, dug deep into EU, and made the big ass Millenium Falcon and AT-AT without needing to beg for the money upfront. Most importantly they kicked off TVC. Oh, and Clone Wars. I didn't like the line except for the vehicles, but it was pretty important.
>>11657087I mean, fine. POTF2 is generational at this point. The figures and sets resonate with a certain group of people, I’m fine with dipshit zoomers or older collectors not giving a fuck and keeping them cheap.
>>11657130NTA but yesIt's been a while since I watched it but they made it sound like POTF2 came out after TPM which is total bs
>>11650319>"POTF" Luke>it doesn't have the proportions of a sword and sorcery leadtrash
I see they now branch into Bayverse too, I saw many Transformers G1 AMK Mini Series figures at my local store, are they good? I might get them. I like that they are cheap and wonder if the quality is good.
>>11657895They should've go with a darker color plastic for that Megatron. It looks unfinished in that picture.

>>11651017Stop clogging the catalog with this garbage
>>11651017
>>11651120Have you ever seen the barbie doll version of the karen carpenter story?
I have no idea how they sold in the first place considering how ugly they look like. Same with labubu shit. Anime figs look infinitely better.
>>11654526They're (usually) inexpensive bobbleheads of characters from EVERY FUCKING FRANCHISE UNDER THE SUN. For a few things, a Funko Pop is the only thing close to a toy they've ever gotten.I have more contempt for the things than most people, but I will concede this point- the non-standard ones don't look half as bad as the rest.If they don't have a normal face, or if they have a helmet, they're a lot more tolerable for not having those gigantic dead eyes.
What exactly is their strategy here? Are they purposely trying to tank themselves? Will they even exist in 5 years?
>>11655712new CEO?
>>11657008>Hasbro is struggling>they want to get into games without making games>they are licensing off their toy brands>they're pretty much being carriedby cheap cardstock cards sold expensive>meanwhile at Hasbro:
>>11657008Goldner died years ago and had nothing to do with this. Cocks has been in charge since then. He's just an incompetent retard.
>>11657340Yeah, i know Goldner died, who wanted to turn Hasbro into the next Disney.I know that the next CEO started doing away with that and wanted to shift to gaming.... so why the shift AWAY from gaming now? CEOs tend to want to do their own thing, to prove themselves to stockholders and memembers of the board, instead of staying on the path... even if the previous path was profitable.
>>11657528he still wants to shift to gaming, he's just too retarded to do it
>Kills 1:18 at Western retailHeh...Nothin personell...kid...
>>11650399>1/6 is good for figures 1/18 is good for vehicals and large animals. 1/12 is for children.1/6 is good for figures that stand still and never get posed. 1/12 is good for actual figures. 1/18 is good for vehicles and monsters.
>>11649414>After Disney licensing fees I really do think they sold it at the lowest possible price. Not at all. They are gouging just like they're gouging on other figures they make. Do you think that including an MTG card instantly makes an ML worth 47 dollars?
>>11650013I don't want toy vehicles.
>>11657404Having figures with no vehicles only really works with capeshit. Other lines absolutely need vehicles to complete the package.
>>11657419Most people who GI Joe Classified don't have vehicles.
lot of news today for FNAF toyswaves 3 confirmed
So do none of the Toy Chicas come with the black eyed beakless face? Seems like a major missed opportunity since that is her attack animation and coolest look.
>>11656736when and where can I get it
>>11656733World is the same as the gimmick line with the action features
>>11657296kinda wierd the vr freddy visor can be removed
So on a whim, i typed in action figures into amazon. the 4 of the first 5 figures are t13. Action figure is now dominated by 3d printed slop. discuss
>>11656727Speaking as a big fan of 3D printing (albeit resin in my case) it's really annoying seeing this crap absolutely everywhere- even aside from it forcing out actually worthwhile booths from fairs, conventions etc, it's disappointing that the public perception of 3D printing is becoming "crappy plastic noodle dragons sold for a massive profit" given how much cool stuff you can do with them.I kinda wanna make a fully poseable (as in, actually poseable, not flexi-bullshit) printable dragon. Need to figure out how to use that pirated copy of Zbrush I have; Blender is really good, and for the actual engineering side of things it's definitely my go-to but for complex sculpting Zbrush is hard to beat. Or it would be if the UI wasn't absolute toilet.
>>11657234The fuck do you mean pirated? Zbrush is free
>>11657293...It is? I thought it had a stupidly high subscription fee.
>>11657358It does, he's probably thinking of Blender. As of this year ZBrush's developer even discontinued the free Core Mini version, which was too limited to be worth trying anyway.
>>11657234Yeah it's a shame. A lot of AI garbage and Creative commons Nintendo shit from the cons I've scouted. I would love to table at a con or craft fair but I feel these shitters with a Ender 3 and a Printables account have kinda ruined it for most of us.

>>11656224>>11656226Things are desperate when you have to carve yourself a rifle from a stick and don't have time to finish. Great figures and nice details overall otherwise.
