That makes sense. DV is prevalent enough that it would pretty much stop me from considering a Samsung when I'm ready to upgrade. I do love my LG, I only have minor nitpicks, but I might look at a Sony for my next TV since they apparently have the best image processing, and their TVs are the gold standard for picture accuracy out of the box.

I got my TV in 2020, when the PlayStation 5 came out. I've decided I'll buy a new TV when the PlayStation 6 comes out.

Maybe my most unpopular opinion among movie people but I don't like HDR for home viewing. Too much setup on the part of the user. HDR is great in a theater because presumably professionals have set it up, but it's too big of a pain in the ass to make sure my shit is set up correctly, make sure I downloaded the right format, make sure plex has the correct settings, and all of that just to make the TV look simultaneously too dark and too bright. Negligible improvement in the home video space.
>>
>>217468727
So how many decades until they include this in UHD Bluray releases and you can play the remux files on some hacked Chinese Android box and don't need a $1000 UHD player to play a $50 disc? Will this have the dumb distinction between prpfile 5, 7 and 8 again or will they finally get rid of that overengineered shit?

It is literally impossible to be a woman. You are so beautiful, and so smart, and it kills me that you don't think you're good enough. Like, we have to always be extraordinary, but somehow we're always doing it wrong.
>You have to be thin, but not too thin. And you can never say you want to be thin. You have to say you want to be healthy, but also you have to be thin. You have to have money, but you can't ask for money because that's crass. You have to be a boss, but you can't be mean. You have to lead, but you can't squash other people's ideas. You're supposed to love being a mother, but don't talk about your kids all the damn time. You have to be a career woman but also always be looking out for other people.
>You have to answer for men's bad behavior, which is insane, but if you point that out, you're accused of complaining. You're supposed to stay pretty for men, but not so pretty that you tempt them too much or that you threaten other women because you're supposed to be a part of the sisterhood.
>But always stand out and always be grateful. But never forget that the system is rigged. So find a way to acknowledge that but also always be grateful.
>You have to never get old, never be rude, never show off, never be selfish, never fall down, never fail, never show fear, never get out of line. It's too hard! It's too contradictory and nobody gives you a medal or says thank you! And it turns out in fact that not only are you doing everything wrong, but also everything is your fault.
>I'm just so tired of watching myself and every single other woman tie herself into knots so that people will like us. And if all of that is also true for a doll just representing women, then I don't even know.

>Vincent was described as a libertarian who was critical of postmodernism and multiculturalism.[3] She did not believe that transgender people were part of the gender they identified as.[3] In an article for The Village Voice, she wrote: "[Transsexuality] signifies the death of the self, the soul, that good old-fashioned indubitable 'I' so beloved of Descartes, whose great adage 'I think, therefore I am' has become an ontological joke on the order of 'I tinker, and there I am.'"[11]
>>
>>217470473
embarrassingly untrue. you're just a paranoiac or an anti-natalist. virgin women are the best.
>>
>>217470473
You don’t know ball. Women practically imprint on the first guy to fuck them and everyone who comes after will be compared to him

My friend asked me the other day.... what was the first time you feelt "weird" as a young guy wantching TV? Your first realisation that women existed and they weren't just your mum.
For me, its the obvious one. Nala.

It is a weird weird film. It has a really long first act that's like something out of a horror film and it sets a really dark tone.
>>
>>217470635
>It's kinda weird how many Decent late 80s/early 90s films are completely fading into obscurity.
It's not that weird considering that something like 75% of silent films didn't survive and are lost forever.

It's a "red pill" moment, and a deeply cynical one at that, realizing that all the stuff you thought was important actually was completely irrelevant. Hollywood has this mystique that makes you think movies are a big deal, something monumental, something eternal. When the reality is they're ephemeral soap bubbles, that only endure as long as there's a distribution network for them. There's no difference between a Hollywood blockbuster with star power and an amateur stop motion movie some kid made with their GI Joes when they were 12, besides the amount of money out into it and one of them has a multi billion dollar distribution network backing it while the other exists only as a single copy on a VHS in a shoebox in our mom's closet.

You don't say? And wasn't it Hitler who stripped Goring of all his offices? He still had the balls to face the subsequent kangaroo court.

Hitler had V2 rockets and Sarin gas, he could've exterminated London with this, but chose no to go the WMD route. If he was so serious about fighting to the last man why was this the case?

West Germany sheltered tons of nazis and quickly became Europe's strongest economy again.
Up to the 1960s any German who wanted could easily leave East Germany and migrate to the west.

Why should they have chosen the different route, where they resist to the last, Germany entirely being eradicated from the map?
The latter might have been more "honorable", but clearly the former was more appealing and rational.
It's easier for shitholes like Afghanistan that have literally nothing to lose.

>>
>>217470814
He’s a stupid fat boomer with stupid fat boomer ideas. Democratization kills art because it lowers it to the level of the rabble instead of lifting the rabble to the level of an aesthetic ideal. There’s such a thing as folk art, but in the context of audiovisual art it’s not movies made by a fat girl in ohio but youtube videos, memes and social media posts, but that’s not cinema in the way he means it.
