He is the only cast member of the Harry Potter films to also be in the new HBO series. Is there a midge shortage or something?>shortage
>>217411803theyre a few cast members short
>>217411843Surely there’s at least one other midge in all of England that can act.
>>217411803It should be illegal for these things to breed
I once saw two midges in the span of a few minutes, one I walked past on the street, and the other in a cafe, there's no point to this story aside from being the first time I ever saw two in one day
>>217411843>>217411874The midge from Joker is English. He's pretty good in the new Spartacus show too
The Bone Temple is a kino Gnostic movie. Think about it. Samson is like Adam (he's even named after a Biblical figure), he's brought out of a state of nature into a state of humanity by Dr. Ian Kelson who gives him a "fruit" (anti-psychotic medication in the film) that lifts the veil from his eyes and suddenly he has knowledge of what he really is. Dr. Ian Kelson is even called Satan in the movie, just like the serpent in the garden was. But he also is sacrificed, similar to Jesus. Jesus and the serpent are one and the same in Gnostic myth. Samson also reminds me a lot of Enkidu in the Epic of Gilgamesh. He even looks like Enkidu (and anyone with knowledge of history knows that the Epic of Gilgamesh inspired the Book of Genesis since Enkidu = Adam).
>>217411509Jim is too flat to be S-tier, people just like him because he gets Rambo powers and is played by the best cheekbones Western civilization has produced. I have hopes for part 3 EU commissioner Jim though.
>>217411737Nah, he hides away in his command centre and gives the order to firebomb London. Hopefully he was stripped of rank and imprisoned for severe incompetence afterwards.
I liked seeing that Jim has barely changed at all, and if anything has actually improved in the past 28 years. Also it's funny to see him mention post-soviet Russian history when he would only know about 10 years of that history and everything since like 2002 would be a total blank.

>>217397517>>217411300Sargon is such an idiot he somehow misses in this video, for instance, that all the virtuous characters in the story have extremely decorated bloodlines. Their virtue comes from their blood. But Sargon and his ‘right-wing intellectual vanguard’ don’t explore this concept which is far more interesting. Their idea of Tolkien is as an idealistic, fairy teller rather than a deeply, deeply reactionary classist who is ultimately a bit naive about the world.
Martin should star in a porn movie where hi sits naked on a throne drinking wine from a goblet while two zesty bucks service his tiny wrinkly old man dick poking out from under his fat hairy belly. Emilia Clarke, dressed as Dany, should be pouring him refills of wine as needed without acknowledging what’s happening.
>>217411718>Emilia Clarke, dressed as Dany, should be pouring him refills of wine as needed without acknowledging what’s happening.kinowould watch for Emilia

She said she was so excited to watch it. Five minutes in she's scrolling through TikTok or playing some mobile game for her dailies. Has nothing to do with the show not being engaging. Mind rot is actually a real thing and people are genuinely living with their brains fucking fried that they can't pay attention to a 45 minute episode.

>>217408178Netflix is not the problem though. Netflix is the symptom. The communication paradigm changed with the internet but it wasn´t initially noticeable because not everyone had access to it. Cinema is an art form from when the communication paradigm was vertical and one directional. There was an emissor and a passive receptor. Watching a movie implied accepting that relationship. But communication is no longer like that. Now days you have some sort of horizontal multidirectional paradigm. There is no longer a hierarchy in communication because the masses have been empowered by the ability to participate and express themselves. It´s some sort of democratization and i say that in the worst possible sense.

>>217410422Unfinished, half-baked, Fury Road DLC rehash released almost an entire decade later with ugly, bug-eyed ayylmao force-memed nepo actress that doesn't even resemble adult Furiosa.
I wish the movie didn't get so bogged down in the middle part, probably has a lot to do with the disappearance of Hemsworth's presence. He deserved to be "the" villain of the movie but the editing and pacing waters down his impact as a character which was a real shame. It's like the entrails of 2 great Mad Max films and 1 bad Mad Max film stitched into one. Praetorian Joe was very obviously Max from an unused script.Glad I got to watch it in cinema
>>217410422I get that they were going for a sort of dreamlike legendary tale, but all the weird CGI and post processing effects was super obnoxious.
>>217410422good things;1. furiosa is a believable character that avoids classic feminist tropes2. good worldbuilding and prop design, i liked the war truck's metallurgy3. Hemsworth was believable in the first half of the movie (a popular handsome charasmatic guy that was actually brutal and nasty), after that he became almost like comedic relief / a tropebad things;1. Hemsworth monologue towards the end, it should have been left implied that he himself was someone who had grievously lost and lost contact with reality and that Furiosa was becoming like him, having him monologue and explain that to the audience is just lazy writing2. furiosas romantic interest was kind of one-dimensional, why is there a perfectly modern sane guy in a sea of flamboyant retarded gangsters3. the ending is retarded, again, the writers feel the need to explain the 'subtle' things in detail rather than implication4. Gastown, Bullet Farm, and the Citadel all felt way too close to eachother
We all know that s1-4 is god tier, and 5-8 is trash. My question is why? Were they contracted to do 8 seasons or something, or did key writers leave? I've never seen such a drop of quality in anything in my entire life.
