Never knew the Stephen King book of the same name. When I heard the title I thought it might be about some war time death march (fictional or real) like what happened in Bataan. Saw the trailer and the premise gimmick looks so uninteresting and not at all scary. Don’t know the story but I guarantee the “interesting” and “thrilling” parts will just be characters betraying each other. Just seems like a boring film but who knows.
>>214418854It was first published under his short-lived penname, 'Richard Bachman.'And the film is actually pretty entertaining with likeable characters you actually start to feel for. More of a survival drama than anything tho.
>>214418942It came out already? I just don’t see the drama when there has to be a single survivor meaning you just can’t trust anyone. I do understand that I’ll be mostly character driven. I just hope they don’t pull a Hunger Games twist and threaten to all stop at the same time.
>>214419030It comes out tomorrow in my part of the world, but got to see it early. They certainly try to avoid that twist.

It was a very good show.
>lesbian code your characters>lesbian Fandom bully male lead out of show >viewership drops like a stone when people realize it's lesbian codedMany such cases. Buffy Fandom gonna be so sad when the show dies after making the new slayer a lesbian

>>214416974>People are absolutely fucking sick of this bullshit. Prestige dramas and big budget popcorn schlock used to deliver a dozen episodes per year like clockwork. Content mill CW shows even doubled that. Three years used to be the wait for fucking Avengers movies. You mean to fucking tell me that some Mexican girl putting on a schoolgirl uniform and fucking around in a €15 admission tourist trap castle takes 8 months of filming, a couple years of post-production, and you can only get eight fucking CW quality episodes out of that? The entertainment industry is suffocating under its own bloat.28 million views, would probably be the equivalent of $400 million at the box office if the show were a movie. “Down 43%” means that around the equivalent of 15% of the US population may have watched the show. As for why the wait between seasons, it probably has to due with other projects from the leads of the show. Ortega and Myers were both in other projects between the first and second season, with Ortega in at least 6 movies, and Myers in three movies and a British TV show between seasons. Tim Burton directed Beetlejuice 2 (starting Ortega), between the two seasons, and he’s the showrunner and also directed a bunch of episodes of Wednesday. Given how frequently Netflix cancels shows after 1 season, nobody likely knew a second season would even get made, so all the important cast members had to be scheduled for, and it’s not like Ortega or Myers could easily be dropped from the cast. The same crap used to happen with British shows were a certain number of episodes would be ordered, made, and broadcast, before a second season was ordered, so some shows had large gaps between seasons. Lovejoy is a good of this.

>>214415172>They were good in their own right.nah, childish nonsense
>>2144151721 has some really good moments but the movie takes a big halt when they go to tatooine and doesn’t really get on track until the end. 2 isn’t very good and most of the action feels too weightless, Dooku is cool though. 3 is honestly great, I love the atmosphere of shit going down every moment, it’s a very tight movie in terms of pace too

>>214419440>He got his degree years before even coming up with the name Saul GoodmanWrong. He was already using Saul Goodman as an alies back in Cicero with Marco. It's always been a fake identity he's had>he has no reason to lie to chuck about it when it’s part of the reason he feels entitled to the jobJimmy wholeheartedly believes that cheating is the right way in life though, that's the issue. He gets himself fired from D&M because he genuinely isn't able to understand rules, he thinks they limit getting clients. He cheats in cases and does fake stunts because he can't understand why he shouldn't, it just accelerates getting more clients. Jimmy believes him cheating means he's applicable to HHM, regardless of him telling Chuck he isn't slipping out.
>>214406476>what a completely pointless showftfy
>>214419339It doesn't matter, because Jimmy had to pass the bar anyway. The very bar who wouldn't relicense him unless he sucked up to his dead brother.>>214419402>Jimmy is literally nowhere near being Chuck's equal.Chuck thought otherwise.>Chuck doesn't cheat in cases. Chuck knows the law.Chuck uses immoral loopholes whenever he can.>Chuck doesn't do fake billboard stunts or other scams to get quick, easy cashHe pretended that his mental illness got way worse in order to entrap his brother and record a confession. >Howard was too kind for his own sake, he didn't know Jimmy. It wasn't an act of kindness. Jimmy could have taken the case to another law firm. He probably would if he knew he wouldn't be hired beforehand.>We later see just before his death how Howard finally sees the real Jimmy and KimAgain, you are missing the point of the show. Chuck was the reason Jimmy became Saul. Whenever Jimmy tried to change, Chuck would try to sabotage him out of spite.
>>214419493>Chuck thought otherwiseWhen? Chuck thought Jimmy was not a real lawyer, he never felt threatened by him being better at law, he just didn't like having a literal cheater and criminal in his firm>Chuck uses immoral loopholes whenever he canSuch as?>to entrap his brother and record a confessionNot entrapment. Entrapment by definition is inducing a person to commit a crime. Chuck did not induce Jimmy to do the Mesa Verde bullshit, he did it of his own accord. New Mexico is a one-party consent state and Chuck did not break any laws recording Jimmy>Jimmy could have taken the case to another law firmWe objectively see it is an act of kindness though. Howard time and time again treats Jimmy extremely nicely and respectfully despite Jimmy over and over treating him like absolute garbage. Plus it isn't a case HHM was that desperate to get that they needed to hire Jimmy. It was a bit payout but ultimately the deal Jimmy got was very fair>Again, you are missing the point of the showNo, you are. You fell for Saul Goodman's charms, like people fell for Mike's copes back in BB. Everything Jimmy did was his own fault. Jimmy could have just stopped needing to go to HHM and become a film director, something he's better at. He could have gone legit instead of breaking rules for fast cash. He could have done tons of things. Chuck did not sabotage Jimmy from trying to change, he simply did not allow him in his firm. Why is Jimmy entitled to being at HHM? Why does Jimmy need to be at HHM to change into a good person? And why does Jimmy being denied HHM justify him going into Saul mode? It doesn't, and the final episode Saul Gone has a flashback meant to show you that Chuck supported Jimmy, and he could have changed but he refused. This is heavily implied to be Jimmy's biggest regret, not that he'd ever admit it in court without Kim there

>>214415717This came out well after the Tarantino copying era, Smokin Aces and Lucky Number Slevin are ripping off Guy Ritchie. Was weird to see Smokin Aces referenced in Chainsaw Man. Anyone ever seen Things to Do in Denver When You're Dead? That was one of the worst Tarantino-likes. The one where the college kids kidnap Christopher Walken (he plays a mob boss) was pretty good tho.
The hot black chick was amazing. I forgot what the big reveal was but remember ari playing cards.
The sniper scene was the sizzle of this movie.
