Movie starts off with Mario fixing a warp pipe and finding yoshi. They go back to peaches Bday party and they get the distress signal from Rosalina. Peach decides to secretly go rescue her with Toad. In the mean time Bowser Jr attacks the castle and tries to save his father taking the castle into space and crashing it on a new planet when mario yoshi and luigi defeat him. They then leave bowser behind and go into space to meet peach at the space port. Bowser Jr rescues his dad while peach chases an ukiki through the underworld and fights smb2 mob bosses. They all meet up on the flight deck where Fox is because his warp drive is damaged and it sent him into this universe where can't fix it so he's trapped. They leave and get attacked by bowser jr in space once again where Bowser says please don't hurt them (since he's been reformed) so bowser jr shoots them with a baby gun and they crash into a new planet and get chased by a T-rex. Luigi sends out a rescue call that gets picked up by rosalinas castle and they are rescued. They proceed to the final planet to face off with bowser jr and rescue rosalina where fox flies through space and once they land mario defeats a world 8 fire level with peach then cuts the bridge in half killing bowser in the lava. Then bowser returns as dry bones bowser and teams up with bowser jr and mario locks peach away to rescue rosalina and starts 2v1ing bowser and bowser jr before Yoshi and Luigi show up with item blocks. They face off but get beat up before mario gets a final power up and beats everyone up then defeats the ink dragon behemoth from final fantasy and saves the day. Peach puts her hand on rosalinas to activate their grass power and the junk planet turns to a grass planet. They go home and rebuild the castle and mario gets kissed by peach and puts the flag on top of the castle using the super leaf cape. end credits is daisy.
