Dr. Doom is not Tony Stark in any way. If you want a visual reference, think of Sean Penn’s character at the end of One Battle After Another. His role is similar to how Gemma Chan appeared in Captain Marvel and Eternals, though his supposed feud with Steve Rogers is just a ruse. The post‑credit scene in The First Steps doesn’t amount to much.Doom begins in the same position Bruce Banner had in Infinity War, warning the heroes about a looming threat. The twist is that Doom himself is the threat. Once he gathers the Avengers, Fantastic Four, and X‑Men together, he unleashes the Sentinels, which drives most of the late‑second and third act. The heroes who are killed include Steve Rogers, Thor, Loki, Sentry, Cyclops, Magneto, Professor X, Red Guardian, Johnny Storm, Ben Grimm, M’Baku, Mystique, Wolverine, Falcon, and Tobey Maguire’s Spider‑Man.
