When to stop watching Smallville?

I liked the ending. Eren won hundreds of years worth of peace. Many generations lived in total peace. It isn't until years and years later they get obliterated.There hasn't been a nation in history that has enjoyed such a long span of peace.Could they somehow have gotten peace without destroy most of the world? of course, but the story ended this way and I liked it fine enough.I actually liked the show more the older the main characters got.
