Every time I go to the theater (alone obviously) there are a handful of of people by themselves as well. Even for crowded mass appeal movies. This is a big city so maybe people are used to being alone
>>
>>217434747
It was expensive though, thats what makes it good.

I do find the budget quite curious. A lot of this movie ended up reusing sets that were presumably built for 28 years later such as the bone temple and the abandoned train. And then the rest of the movie takes place mainly innawoods and in a standard british farmhouse. Ralph Fiennes is the only actor in it who would command a big salary and even then I doubt he cost more than a couple million. Doesn't look look that effects heavy (barely any zombies, barely any set extensions). I dunno where the money would've went.

I thought years costing $60 million was also a bit odd but it was definitely more effects and location heavy.
>>
>>217434858
its like how they say Avatar 3 costs 400 million. when they spoke extensively how 2 and 3 were made at the same time. Sure thats much more effects heavy, but 3 uses a lot of the same environments and models as 2.

My bet is more on having tried to use wildfire in an attempt to wake the eggs ("you cook an egg with fire, you cook dragons' eggs with wildfire, get it Dunc? Also it's ironic because I'm an egg too, y'see"). And it got a teensy bit out of hand.

Man those chubby Ewan in a shit wig reshoot shots stand out like a sore thumb.
At least there aren’t as many as there are in Clones. Half that performance is distractingly obvious reshoots that don’t gel with the scene they’re in

For me, it's buying an expensive "smart" tv, but the apps barely work, so you have to buy a dedicated streaming device in order to watch Peacock without it crashing

1 and 2 are masterpieces but what’s /tv/‘s opinion of the rest of the Terminator franchise? I’ve never heard one person talk highly about any of the Terminator films after Judgement day.

Why doesn’t James Cameron want to invest any time, money or creativity himself on reinvigorating not only the Terminator franchise but Alien as well? IMO, I feel as though Cameron has wasted so many years of his career squandering much of his creative potential on Avatar.
>>
>>217434616
Terminator is dead since T2. Leave it alone already
>>
Terminator 3 is awesome, and the greatest spite sequel of all time -- crafted in a feverish haze where the writers were weeks away from being fired, engineered to shit all over Terminator 2 and its fanbase. It's a miracle that the film's venom towards Terminator 2 and "No fate" survived all the studio interference. The essence of great art is being a true hater. Nobody who liked Terminator 2 was ever going to make a worthy sequel. They needed venom, they needed quiet, decade-long brooding resentment.

Everything after Terminator 3 is a cash grab that either has nothing to say (Genisys, Dark Fate) or had its point surgically removed in rewrites and reshoots (Salvation).

>”Psst! Hagrid! Want to see what heart break in a child looks like? Watch this” Whispered Dumbledor beneath his bitter butter beer breath.
>Dumbledor calmy stood up with a force of aggression and gently bellowed: ”AHEM, YES YES WELL DONE SLYTHERIN WELL DONE SYTHERIN… HOWEVER!!!! 1000 POINTS TO HARRY, RON AND HERMIONE FOR DISOBEYING EVERY RULE AT HOGWARTS AND ENDANGERING NOT ONLY THEIR LIVES BUT THE LIVES OF ALL YOU, GRYFFINDOR WINS THE HOUSE CUP!!!”

Anon, there is a difference between: black character doing good and bad, fucking up, existing in a situation and trying to pull through vs black character who is perfect, dunks on all the bad white characters and lectures the viewer on politics. Sorry your brain is so fucking cooked you can't see the difference.

the joke with the notepad (to my understanding), other than >>217431492, is that for the entirety of the film up until now the dude shows absolutely fuck all initiative, stumbling from one situation to another through a combination of basic self-preservation and chance. Suddenly here, for the first time, he shows a modicum of creativity, gets off his ass, and tries to do something clever and unexpected. And he's met with a dick drawing. It's basically the universe laughing at his single attempt at not being a useless bum.
