And I've been telling this several times, I believe Way of Water was specifically meant for Lo'ak only but it got repurposed to include his entire family. I know Hollywood has the tendency to match or surpass the stakes of the previous movie which is probably the reason why the 3 movies are samey but I think having a low stakes sequel could've worked too. I'd be satisfied with just Navi vs Navi battle with some politicking like in comics where Tsutey's family tried to rebel. Heck even the ending of the comics got them exiled to Mangkwan territory and that could've been a good introduction the Mangkwan tribe.
