I enjoyed it a lot. What really surprises me, though, is that people are apparently liking this one at lot more than 28 Years, since to me, they were pretty much equal (in fact I'd even give a slight edge to the first part).

>>217470407This would be one of my favorite episodes with a few minor tweaks. The majority of focus should have been on the rescued parties. Cut the entire Romulan plot and paste it in a Romulan-centric episode. Then have each of the three bond with one of the crew, the same way the woman did with Crusher. Show them going through the emotions and coming to terms with their reality, and end the episode with all three of them tentatively hopeful or excited to experience a new life in a utopia, with limitless possibilities for their future. This is a bigger change, but I'd also include a fourth rescued person who's completely fine and unfazed by the entire ordeal, ala the girl from The Voyage Home.

>>217469779I think it is okay to provide assistance if a species, if known to not cause any degenerative hinderance to the world they belong to, is in a preventable conflict with an abnormal environment that threatens their existence. There should be some balance, and people with a soul have an inclination to help other beings to continue the circle of life with them knowing that not everything has to be as cruel as the blood and soil that does exist in nature that we see outside our homes.Thats why I like Sisko sometimes, he was pretty much going to quit star fleet anyways so he doesnt really hold rules like the prime directive to the teeth. He bends the rules that may turn out to a positive outcome in the longterm anyway.

Honestly its insane that Disney put their A-team on Pocahontas and yet Lion King turned out to be the more loved film, even with the B-team leading on it
