>>219215472there's nothing special on the other side
>>219215472>shouldn't they be sending a manned mission to the far side of the moon? But why add in the operational difficulty of doing everything on the lunar surface in the dark? You're already spending so much just to reinvigorate public interest in space exploration and dunk on your rivals on the world stage. Is the additional complexity worth the trouble?

>>219205258This. I'm stuck with a girlfriend I don't love and she won't leave me alone. I just want to play video games. I didn't fucking sign up for her blog to hear about her (mostly negative) thoughts all day. If I were to tell her, "I want to play my game right now" she'd get upset. I really miss being single. I want to be single. I don't love this girl. I don't want to be with her. I can't break up with her though. She'll ruin my life.

>>219211950I agree in spirit but it is not what makes someone evil. Evil is cunning, and evil loves information and knowledge (as those things have tremendous power)Cognitive dissonance is used to make people into slaves. Tools of and for amorality. I suspect that as time progresses more of us will be led to intersect with others, so we can start getting this shit cleaned up.

The advertisement in the game manual of tomb raider 2 was in the slideshow. Same for switchblade comic by top cow.
is season 1 the best? where exactly does the show fall off? personally i caught almost every episode until around season 5 or 6 when castielle became a main character
>>219215033There is a "White People Bad" episode as early as season 1.
>>219215211In fairness, the racist truck episode was replacement script written in a week because they had to scrap the original premise of the episode which would've been an episode long chase by the ghost truck
I liked them all but my mind is flexible enough to like multiple things. First couple seasons were great and with great music. At some point they realized the biggest audience for the show was teenage girls so they dropped the music and made the stories safer. Then it just gets into a long slog with some meta episodes but still pretty good and comfy. At the end they started bringing the classic rock back but at that point they were no linger just fighting random demons but had defeated god and his sister so it could never be like it was at the beginning.
>>219215282>episode long chase by the ghost truckBut this sounds like it'd actually be good, suspenseful, and genuinely leagues better than what we gotWhy did they scrap it?
>>219215436>made the stories safer.Did they though? If they wanted to do that seasons 3-5 would've ended very differently than what we know them as now.

Ive realized I have no problem with black people in period drama when it is portrayed with any semblance acknowledgment and without going full cartoon with the characterization of the era. This is pretty much the only time they mention her race in the two-partner and it weirdly adds a layer of complexity to her place in the setting without even mentioning it in the following 90 minutes
I see why they wanted Jack Nicholson to play the Joker. In his role in The Shining he acts really unhinged and crazy, but honestly he's even more like that in that movie than he is in Batman. It's still good, don't get me wrong, but he feels more toned down, and that felt really disappointing.
It really makes you wonder as to why the role is revered so much. I understand that its Batman's most well known arch-nemesis, but there have been some absolute heavyweight actors in their field undertake it.
>>219213790Sort of wish it was Tim Curry's lively eyes in the role, but Jack is great as a bored vaudevillian boomer gangster. I always thought Batman 1989 was more influenced by Vertigo than Phantom of the Opera since it seems like a doomed Romance at times, but they detail the Joker's rectification of various 'wrongs' that were done to him in the earlier parts of the movie and that feels influenced by the Phantom. I just wish Nicholson's Joker had a better lair than some random apartment or corporate boardroom.
>>219214855>I just wish Nicholson's Joker had a better lair than some random apartment or corporate boardroomAxis Chemicals was kinda cool.
Batman returns is my favorite Batman movie. I understand that it’s the least Batman Batman movie, but it’s still my favorite.
This is one of those movies that people remember being better than it is.
>>219213445Same but specifically high school/college movies. I hate seeing the "nerd" character(s) hooking up with people just by being there.
>>219211479It's 100% the ending song. That take away and the movie falls apart.
>>219211479Why do people say the "goth" girl is hot? She is fucking ugly as fuck. Did boomers really?
>>219211479It's in my top five favorite movies of all time. I love Hughes' dialogue and cast chemistry is off the charts. It's got a great soundtrack and the photography feels like David Fincher for kids at times. It's the quintessential 1980s teen movie.
>>219211479I've watched it recently and it still holds up because millennials and zoomers would be on their cellphones all day and make no human contact.
Are these two fantasy series worth watching? How do they hold up in 2026? They were big in the 1990s, but what about them would be so different to newer fantasy series in recent years?

>>219214787What are you, some schizo making shit up?>>219214857Unfortunately I'm literally running out the door to work right now.
my experience: I saw two random episodes of xena season 2 and they were really bad.the direction, action, effects, camera, acting were terrible. the only good thing was the hot girls. xena, gabrielle, callisto, aphrodite, etcI hope hercules holds up better, I was into it as a kid.

Casual racism is super common amongst Starfleet officers, how many times do they make comments about people being stingy like a Ferengi or sneaky like a Romulan, for the most part people treated different species with suspicion due to their reputation and they would have to be proven wrong.
