I don't feel right including "3-D" in a movie title if I'm watching it in 2-D. This is just Argento's Dracula

'Argento's Dracula' makes it sound like it could be a good movie. Something called Dracula 3D will obviously not get anyone's hopes up. The title alone instantly tells you that the imdb rating is probably hovering around 3.5.
(Okay, I just looked it up on imdb to see if I was right, and I was completely right, it's rated 3.6)

>Ben Mancowitz is such a chill ass nigga.
Everyone always rushes to say Robert Osborne did it better but I didn't watch it much in his host days. Ben has grown on me. The smug kike mien is occasionally grating but he is more entertaining and likeable than not. His dumb running gag introducing Gary Godzilla movies always gets a chuckle out of me.

>What other movies on there now do you plan to watch?
Thanks for the Chamber of Horrors recommendation. I didn't know it was based on House of Wax's plot.
Stuff I've watched before and will/would rewatch:
Val Lewton-produced RKO stuff:
The Body Snatcher (main plot with the two doctors drags somewhat but Karloff is excellent and the finale is excellent) > Isle of the Dead (uneven, kinda dumb finale, but some really good Cat People-style scenes of silent creepy dread based mostly on subtle audio cues though) > The Ghost Ship (this might be the weakest of the bunch, but the fight to the death below decks while the crew up top is listining to Billy Radd sing cheerful Caribbean ditties is good stuff, and very ahead of its time)
The Haunting
Mark of the Vampire
The Night Digger (suspense; interesting take on a Hitchcock plot; check it out)
Night of the Living Dead
Poltergeist (this one annually for sure)
Spirits of the Dead
Sisters

Going to watch for the first time:
House of Wax
What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?

Pic related is on tonight at 3:15 AM EST and I am debating staying up to rewatch it. Very fun sci-fi pulp pic with fun hammy typecast Kyle MacLachlan.

Yeah..I'm of the opinion that a LOT of horror movies would really do better as purely psychological horror, but they always fuck it up with a spoopy monster in the last 15-20 minutes. Grudge 2019 is awful, why would they even make this
They should’ve just called it something else because the curse isn’t even the same
Awful movie
Only thing worse would be if the grudge curse was born in an RV instead of a house so it could “move”

>Day 24: Maneater
Went well beyond my expectations. My expectations were very low. This is a by-the-numbers Werewolf movie (Really a Wendigo but it acts just like a Werewolf), with exactly the plot you'd expect. "Who's the killer? ...am I the killer?" The monster is incredibly cheap looking, Spirit-Halloween tier, possibly the worst I've seen this month. But the writing is decent, even clever in a couple places, and you can tell that the makers were trying. It's not shoveled-out, they really wanted to make a decent movie. Lots of tits too, which adds some points. I'm not recommending it, but it's honestly an okay flick.

Just finished Halloween 6 Curse of Michael Myers.

I'm not sure which version it was, the runtime was 1:35:59 so maybe somebody knows. I liked this better than 5. It wasn't a great movie, but it felt more like a classic Halloween movie than Revenge did.

Pros
>Tommy Doyle is back
>kino shots of Haddonfield neighborhood and lots of elements from first movie
>"mommy it's raining, it's raining red"

Cons
>another generic satanic cult/Rosemarys Baby rip off
>no cute & funny Danielle Harris
>stupid ending, maybe even the worst

Thanks, I'm still not sure what I think of them myself. And I found myself thinking of/trying to go by color while making mine but also trying to stick to runtime order, which made it even more difficult. Also considered going by theme.

I think generally the Producer's Cut is considered better. There's an anon here that prefers the theatrical cut and hypes it up but I don't think I've seen much love for it otherwise. I watched both of them back to back a few months ago and preferred the Producer's Cut. The Theatrical Cut does have a better finale but much worse pacing overall. The Producer's Cut is bad but comfy.

Plenty of cult Witchhunting movies from the 70s and 60s are also sporadically featured in the Barrier Kult skate videos, which always play black metal.

Speaking of witchhunting and glorious sexy women, remember the actress who played in Cathedral's Hopkins? She has played in many cult movies.

Also, another band definitely worth mentioning always and especially in Halloween: Horslips.
