>>729782624It's one of those games where you're given a menu to select a chapter, and each "chapter" plays out a large portion of the game from the PoV of one of the races. So one from the Mothmen, one from the Jersey Devil, one from Bigfoot, one from Humans, etc. Once you play through all the chapters, you either unlock more chapters depending on how the events go, or it culminates into a final chapter where you play one giant chapter where everyone teams up and you play small sections of that chapter as the various characters.

This is a good thing, graphics peaked a decade ago now these useless devs will have to optimize their shit games to run on potatoes if they want it to sell, while I built my PC in 2023 so it should last me for a long time.

Is Zelda pretty much likely about dead at this point, quite essentially arguably?
Why? Because you personally didn't like TotK?
Put this piece of shit in the dumpster where he belongs janny
>>729802374I think with a lot of franchises they've all run their course. There aren't many genuinely new ideas for Zelda available. Same with lots of other franchises. Indie games shat out all the ideas. We're ever getting closer to the event horizon where every good game has already been made, and new games will likely come and go as flavor of the month but quickly fade and be forgotten until there likely won't be many games made at all.

We all know the offshoots of Illusion are unlikely to deliver a game like AA2. Yeah, there is SVS but it is a mixed bag of nice upgrades, many sidegrades, and crippled gameplay. So I've been working on my own making a replica of AA2 with a modern game engine from scratch. I aim to:* replicate the entire gameplay from AA2* legacy AA2 card loading compatibility* legacy AAUnlimited compatibility* break away from the Illusion way of doing things (embrace modding, enhance user generated assets experience)* expand behavior modding (AAU triggers and modules)I am currently using AA2 models and assets because those are the best assets I am familiar with, and because I am partial to the AA2 art style. However, the art style is not set in stone yet and it can change. In an ideal world I would be rich or would have funding to commission whole new assets, making this a completely new game. For now AA2 assets will do.That's it. I've likely forgotten something I wanted to add here so ask away.
>>729799486It's very strictly a highschool social sim, but with pron and not even particularly good one.Still, the concept is kino and I hope to see anon's take, or anyone else who is willing to try it again.
>>729786141Are you one of the aau devs? if youre serious can you drop a link / email cause ive also been brainstorming ideas about this game for years now
>>729799219You can do exactly that with aau modules im pretty sure
>>729786141Good luck anon. I haven't played AA (...that artstyle is rough) but I played SVS and Koikatsu and routinely turn on Emotion Creators. I know, different games. But in SVS, I found I had to orchestrate 2 guys and a gal to all be lovers with each other (all 3 pairs needed high sexual experience and love and yadda yadda) just to unlock the MMF scene. I would like to request a way to get orchestrate an MMF scenario even if the girl is a virgin. And without the 2 guys (or 3 or more guys in MMM+F scenarios) being in gay relationships with each other.Of course this would be far out, after you recreate the game. But once you have momentum and main game done, please keep this in mind.

>>729801714>it's realno...
>>729801714How the fuck after all of these years does there artstyle somehow get worse with every passing comic?
>>729801141It looks like it just exists, no more no less. Some of the gimmicks with the horses and the siege mechanic sounds neat, but the hero shooter shtick is a bit played out. I'll give it a try to see what it's got, seeing how it's free, but I'm not actively looking forward to it. Feels a bit silly though, that everyone's got so heated over an indie game and try to make it out to be the prospective big flop of 2026.

Post a game from your childhood that gave you feels no other game managed to replicateThere's lots of 3D platformers out there but only one Jak, not even its own sequels felt the same
>>729796607Not him but I recently replayed Ratchet and Clank games and first one aged like milk gameplay wise unfortunately. I dont mind janky shit but god damn autoaim system in that game sucks balls so much and later parts of the game especially that forced "stealth" section where you get gadget to become gay ass robot is so tedious its insane plus mandatory hoverboard races and such. Movement also is pretty clunky in comparison to newer games Ratchet feels so floaty in first game. People always bring up strafing but its the autoaim that barely works you can stand next to enemy and it wont work at all. I dont know maybe they really wanted people to use first person aiming but good luck with that against non stationary enemies. Going Commando improved so much its insane.
>>729791793The game felt so mysterious as a kid. It's a shame that none of the sequels got close to making me feel like it did.
>>729798850Also that crossovers got ran into the ground
>>729791793>time travel story>stylish/anime visuals>drum and bass music>cool but goofy tone>pretty unique playing seriesIt was the perfect storm for making a big impression on kid me, and I'm still chasing after a similar soundtrack. The sequels are good, but they don't hit all the same notes.
>>729791793The world in general, the vibrancy, the magic particle effects and music all felt so fascinating to me. Dragon Quest 11 came close in some regards but it still hasn't been replicated.

There is not a single remaster that didn't fuck in someway the original graphics. I don't know why they even try. Even shit that is highly praised like the first Metroid Prime remaster I can point things that look way better on the original. Therefore there is no remaster that is the definitive version of a game. Feel free to try prove me wrong.

>>729802107Bianca sure seems to view it that way, she treats the Hero like they were super close.
>>729802174I can kinda understand her since some people latch on to a distant happy memory if it was one of their most cherished experience in their lives, but official media and much of the fanbase describing her as "the childhood friend" is stretching it, to put it mildly.
