Any questline you want to change needs to be canceled. When you start out a day, you'll get an overview of all questlines for that day. If you want to undo (and re-do) any of them, you need to right click on the relevant quest-line. This will "cancel" that storyline and reset all relevant dialogue triggers and all, indicated by that storyline being now red. You can only do it when you initiate a new day, once you actually press escape or space after the day has loaded in, you are locked in and the day loads with all your previous decisions being treated as done.Again, the game actually does tutorialize this, but normally the tutorial activates only when you are playing day 5 for the first time, and tells you NEED to cancel the escape storyline otherwise you won't be able to progress.

Issue with that is that you absolutely DO NOT want to play it that way as a directional damage is a thing and you could be unintentionally presenting your ass to the enemy and taking more damage without realizing it at first. The use of the light blue arrow and the headlights to help you gauge where the front of the vehicle is relative to where you're aiming helps, but is a little too subtle at first.

Mounts ruin open world. Mavuika is tremendously overpowered, she can traverse any terrain and if you are not a pleb and use her pogo tech she is both the fastest and the most durable.
