The most annoying thing about Automobilista 2 for me is how the AI very obviously isn't bounded by the same laws of physics as the player (since the original PC2 wasn't programmed to calculate them either), making them slow down or go flat-out in the weirdest places.
Also, they have (had?) higher top speeds than the player for some weird reason, making superspeedways or very long straights from historic tracks just frustrating (especially with fixed set-up cars that don't allow you to reduce downforce, brakes cooling etc.).
Having an actual damage system is cool, too bad that, again, it doesn't affect AI nearly as much as the player (extra annoying since the AI will either plunge into or brake check you suddenly).
The historical content is great on paper, but I really don't understand how people kept praising its single-player experience.

>Forza Motorsport 1 does several things right
>Forza Motorsport 2 does a few things wrong

I don't get it. How does Turn 10 not program something essential like the slipstream effect in the sequels? How come night tracks were absent for three games in a row? Why change the car reward system? Who wants a car every single rank up? What was wrong with a car every five levels?

It's honestly great so far.
It looks and runs better than EVO too despite being on UE (I guess Epic finally fixed some shit after WRC came out).

Enemy AI is great.
The dogs have random AI pathing JESUS CHRIST it fucks me over in 4th survivor.
4th Survivor is 12/10 and mogs classic 4th.

Original is better and Claire isnt an ugly goblin in it

The jrpg audience is too old now and gacha is eating both the vn and turn based market. You either go full low budget or not.
Atlus biggest mistake was waiting too long for P6 (even though I still believe it will sell great)
>>
>>730731482
Only FF looked more high budget. Though PS2 era was interesting since there were a lot of "FFX looking" jrpgs but it was when most of them died, with PS3 not even trying (SE didn't know how to adapt and Sakaguchi was retarded enough to stay in xbox then completely ignore the switch)
Xenoblade has a good budget too but it's too weeb for the average person.

E33 just took the emptiness FF left a little and even that one had a lot of recycled assets and a millionaire dad.
Hell, the Pennyblood and Armed Fantasia will just die without a publisher

This is a really good RPG, it's way better than Expedition 33

I would not say "shittier" because I don't think say, Planescape or Fallout 1/2/New Vegas are shitty for encouraging you - in one way or another - assume there are more and less correct ways to solve certain problems and generally rely on gaming logic to operate.

I would say that mindset is something that is generally just product of MOST games, something that until IPL and a few rare exceptions like maybe some Kojima's ideas, was believed to be inherent to the medium.

After all, it's not like even Pathologic works without the underlying implications of win-lose states being the logical basis for everything you do. And the idea of being consistently weary of making correct or incorrect decisions is just a manifestation of the literal definition of a videogame, which is an entertainment embodied in a formal rule set with AT LEAST implicit win and lose states.

If thats the guy i remember it is, when you batman vision him it says he coughs all the time, when you select cough as a symptom, you can ask him for it
>>
>>730732370
Actually, it really turned out to be a scripting issue. I accidentally shut the game and had to redo the whole scene for the second time, and the results were consistent: the dialogue line about the cough seems to only activate once you lock in at least one diagnosis with the other two characters for me. I also don't have any option to ask for a sample from him either. Doubt that is deliberate, seems like a bug of some sorts.
>>
I must say a lot of the bugs just add to the games weirdness in a way. I can totally see them wanting the characters to T pose as a metaphor for something I don't understand anyway

I havent even tried to set anything up yet, so to be clear I can download whatever newest and I assume least buggy version of shadps4 and look for a version of BB that comes with a launcher that will allow me to use the PKG file with the newest version of the emulator? Also what file size should I be looking for with the BB... ROM? I don't really know the distinction between ROM and ISO and PKG other than types of files. I understand we probably don't openly talk sources here but I just want to make sure I know what I'm looking for.
>>
>>730732626
hhonestly just grab the launcher from nexus, I think it'll install shad for you as well. all you need is the game (it'll be PKG in most cases) and the update file, it should be around 30 gigs and like 120mb for the 1.09 patch

I love gog as platform, but they have issues:

- their developer experience is third rate
- they get blown out of the water with exclusivity deals with their marketshare
- their drm free approach is massive turnoff for companies who spent milions on dont-steal-my-shit solutions.

Steam has cultivated their storefront position for decades, meanwhile gog thinks they can disrupt them without innovation, worse deals and missing coverage on same features. Lunatic approach without money to back it up.
Epic at least had fortnite and engine sales to power through

Thing that keeps steam afloat on top is their resiliency for disruption. If they would go down for month people would think twice about hedging their purchases. That never happened, and never will. Snowballed their gains to perfection. Unless Gabe's replacement will become greedy scum i doubt steam will ever fail,
