Hello. I would very much like to discuss the late 1993 Sega Genesis platformer: Awesome Possum... Kicks Dr. Machino's Butt. I don't know why I owned this game as a kid, but I did, and it was fucking terrible. The game would ask you multiple choice questions about the environment and polution. It was unbelievably fucking retarded. I don't know why, but I've always felt there was something special about it, though. It's basically so fucking terrible, it's legendary. At least in my memories. Every once in a while, I’m fascinated by the fact that no matter how hard we try, we seem incapable of designing truly alien beings. In most game, they either have generic Lovecraftian traits, animal-like features, or they’re just humanoid. And when they don’t look humanoid, you can’t really buy that they somehow developed a society as advanced, or more advanced, than ours. It’s like trying to imagine a new color.
