What are the best games on the SEGA System
>>12252228Lowry convinced Sega of Japan to go with it as a name because the word Master was like in Martial Arts: there are many students, but only one master over all of them.
>>12252057It says to turn off then power on the Power Base. With the Power Base powered on you then insert the cartridge. Next you turn on the Power Back, which I guess is a power backup.Very strange instructions.

ummm... fpga bros... i thought we were supposed to be as good or better than original hardware... not worse than software EMULATORShttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wrbyP7y5z80
>>12247820I like FPGA systems, but they're never going to be superior to real hardware in any aspect and it's not because of capabilities, but economics. It's all diminishing returns. You can put together something like the analogue 3d, lie about its accuracy, solve the rest with marketing and paid shills and find a price point for the thing that is honestly retarded, but attainable. Actually developing a truly faithful FPGA implementation of the N64 makes no economic sense for Analogue, because ultimately the price point would be unreasonable and nobody would buy their shit, no matter how "Apple-like" they try to be. The MiSTer FPGA project has a better chance to deliver whatever acccuracy you nerds think the analogue 3d has, simply because it's an open source project with no timelines or deadlines. I'd recommend getting one of these over any other analogue product. However, I'm positive out of the box hdmi, sleek plastics and cool marketing are more important than accuracy, so I'm not surprised to see the opinions expressed by posters here.
>>12250010You're absolutely correct: it's not running flawlessly. It's a subpar product compared to a Fenrir and a 4MB ram cart. So what? I have one of the "good" carts and bought it knowing it's full of bugs. But it's cheap as fuck, I didn't have to buy an additional 4MB ram card or a memory card, the bugs I get hardly ever crash the console (most are of the garbled graphics variety and usually resolve themselves after any loading screen), and I didn't have to remove the CD drive like I would have to do with the Fenrir (yes, I know there was an accessory once upon a time that let you have the Fenrir and keep the drive). The way I see it, it's a tradeoff between convenience and accuracy. My question is: Why are you so affected by a market with MORE options? How are you affected by the Saroo existing? It's fine to warn users about the quirks/issues of the cart, but you are a member of a group of folks constantly hating on the thing. It's kinda weird, honestly.
>>12250687I have a mister and I agree with you 100%, yet I still consoomed the 3D because of the plastics. I hate myself.

>>12250071>Russia is commiting war crimesX to doubt, but to answer your denial Russia did attempt to join NATO in the 00's as an equal partner to the US. GW Bush was supposedly open to the idea initially but later declined. It's a quite revealing story with implications of sorts.

Mushroom (male)
>>12250762Momo is already the big sis character. Besides, the image only mentions that it's BoF2's Katt and doesn't go into further detail why she was drawn. For all we know she could have been a generic NPC like how there's tons of Stens and Bo's and Oxs around. Which might not have been a bad thing since the final game has a single woren.
>>12247042Trannies are literally a giant part of Japan culture. From when they made prepubescent boys don geisha outfits to perform "Theater" which was really just a guise for tranny child prostitution. The femboy idea is new to Americans but not to Japan

Just picked up a Nintendo 64 off of Craigslist about an hour ago. Put it in my garage and came out to plug it in. Noticed it had a weird smell to it and it was very dirty so I opened it up and found a bunch of dead bugs inside of it. I think they have all passed since but this is pretty fucking disgusting. Should I try to clean this up and use it? I'm pretty grossed out by it. I've since moved out back to my truck because I don't want bedbugs or cockroaches or whatever this is inside my home.
>>12251797Garages aren't for playing video games, they're for working on your car and storing your lawn and gardening equipment
This is why you should ALWAYS bring a gecko (or perhaps certain kinds of lizards, but I've only ever done this with geckos) with you when you buy an old console second-hand.
>>12252239>he uses a gecko for insurance
OP this is the legendary N64 used by Lucasarts to make Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine! Don't clean it you're getting trolled, these posters just want a repeat of the guy who 'cleaned' Miyamoto's signature!
>>12251747This, had the same issue with paper wasps inside my shed Xbox had to disconnect it and spray the inside with raid then rinse it out. If you know anything about paper wasps they tend to be pretty docile if you leave them alone, sometimes they would start buzzing around if I yanked the cable but I had to do it, they were starting to build a nest.
Am I missing out if I don't play Baroque on a Saturn? My friend really likes this game but he also says the other versions suck. I only have a ps2 and ps1.
>>12248472This was the deciding factor in favor of playing the Saturn version for me. I'm a sucker for moody visuals and the use of chiaroscuro in the Saturn version is phenomenal. It's funny how they even turned some of Saturn's weaknesses into strengths - the distance fog (darkness?) is done via color subtraction instead of the more expensive multiplication, making darker areas drown in shadows at a distance. Thanks to that, it looks stylized. For the same reason I like looking at Powerslave's shading on Saturn. The shadows look kinda fried, which somehow works with the desert environment.
>>12251185At least go in and learn to kill the starting flea enemies without taking damage before you try to bring any good gear in, I can't imagine the ass devastation of losing power gear to that
>>12251441It's harsh and contrasty and the pulses of brightness feel extremely vibrant which is its own appeal.
>>12250812I could see limited run or someone similar picking tihs up for distribution with new translations.
>>12251441That's a very good point, the draw distance just feels like it fades out naturally in the Saturn version while on PSX it just ends abruptly at the end of the tile, which coupled with the way you can see the world build up tile by tile is kinda shittyPoor video I should make a better one
Why didn't we become a prestigious iconic franchise like our brothers Tekken/VF/Soulcalibur? We were the talk of the town, right up there with them.

I use PSX/PS2 pads for almost everything but I did buy a 50$ adapter from raphnet to use an NES pad on PC which I use for everything that doesn't require more buttons
use 8bitdo SN30 (replica SNES controller) for NES/SNESuse 8bitdo M30 (replica saturn controller) for genesisuse xbox controller for PS1/6th gen+would like to get at DS4 at some point for PS1/PS2. and then also something like a brawler for N64 games.
>>12249727I guess it was devs just getting used to it and not realizing what people outside of the developers would think. I'm not sure how long square button Famis were on the market, but it seems like Nintendo switched to the plastic circle buttons pretty quickly.
I have different controllers for different games/ consoles/ emulators.I don't need an SNES controller but I do need one that says Super Famicom. You bet your ass I picked one up when I was in Japan.
>>12252414The cable on SFC controllers is too short, but the convex buttons are so much nicer
Well, my xbox is dingI had it since I was a teenager as a gift from my grandma. Now the video output port shows severe ghosting and no longer can output anything beyond 480i.I took it to a local repair guy but he said the port has some plastic in it so he can't resolder it as it will melt. For me, it was truly a leap, when I saw Doom 3 and Thief DS with dust particles visible in light, I was amazed. Haven't felt the same kind of technological leap since.Post your memories relating to xbox
>>12250429>disc driveThe disc drive on one of my XBOXs failed, but after replacing the capacitors and reflowing solder joints, it works fine. And no, I don't know if the capacitors truly needed to be replaced (I don't have a multimeter that can measure capacitance) or if just reflowing solder joints fixed the issue.
>>12249381Lucky, I didn't got to experience xbox's multiplayer at its release, only with insignia I could finally play and had some fun in conker and counter strike. I did enjoy the games that forced you to go out and make some friends so you could bring them in and help you 100% the game like shaolin monks since a lot was locked behind co-op.
>>12250413That still sounds like bullshit that it's not replaceable. Are you sure it's not just the cable?
>>12248916Well, whether you fix it or not, you got more use out of it than like 99% of every other Xbox owner. So you're grandma would be happy her gift gave you so much enjoyment. Maybe move onto a 360 and play it for next 15 years lol

Since you are done with Gradius and Parodius, now play Salamander.
Forget dipcord, IRC, or whatever.Hop on Fightcade and play Twinkle Star Sprites instead.
>>12250692I often go to fightcade to play coop, but I refuse to play VS stuff. Everytime I try to jump into it I end up getting stomped by 10k hours playtime players and called shitter. I know that, cus I created a few alt accounts to play 3rd strike, Magical Drop 3 and TSS and it's so funny how many players sit there just fishing for newbies.
>>12251072Not much you can do about it, the players with most hours will also be the most likely to be online at any given moment. Hopefully you get lucky enough and eventually find another anon who just started end up playing with you.
Have been thinking if there's any of these games that aren't just guaranteed with enough time spent practicing. Biggest challenge for most becomes managing psychology to keep on playing regularly and being alright with failed attempts.

>>12251730i haven't tried the mods but there's 100% something fucky going on, i was emulating the ps2 version (derp) until i remembered it was on pc and when i tried the latter it was balls hard
>>12252176yeah the game just ramps up the difficulty until you die, and if you quick load after dying it never resets either. you have to go back to the main menu and load from there i think for it to properly reset. it's crappy even though everything else about the game is good and oddly enough only the fugitive difficulty does it. every game that has had adaptive difficulty ends up making it worse. i hate it.
