I don't normally repost the comics I've used to start off a previous SoP, but this one is special.See, back when Sega was striding the UK like a colossus, they had a tie-in comic book called "Sonic the Comic" (despite the name, it was actually an anthology that published comic strips based on other properties, like Ecco and Shinobi) as well as an TV ad campaign called "Pirate Sega", so they decided to combine the two.The result was... well, you'll see.

From a quick skim, I think this would look better in black and white

>Look up credits>Stephen Bliss>The guy who did the GTA covers HuhHonestly, as someone who enjoys art by the likes of Scott Roberts and Rob Guillory I'd be a hypocrite to dismiss the art entirely It's cool knowing Bliss would improve the art but the absolute lack of a cohesive plot kills it for me
>>144667381*would improve his art

>>144667217you know, i'm quite old and even I can't discern what the "take a prow" pun is supposed to be in reference to. I know it's a reference to "miles prower" but what the fuck is the phrase its based on supposed to be.
>>144668950Take a bow. It's a terrible pun though, you can't just dissect a person's name to make wordplay work if the original phrase isn't relevant anyways.
I guess it's for the best STC is remembered for the Sonic comics, this is nonsense.Feels like a couple of Brits watched a few episodes of Ren and Stimpy and thought it was "cool". American pop culture filtered through the Brits, the general vibe STC has.>>144668950My best guess is it's a pun on "take a pew" meaning sit down.
Having watched the Pirate Sega ads I can see why they'd try translating this to a comic, they're genuinely entertaining promos - but the style inherently doesn't work in a comic medium
