So, it happened AGAIN. We can blame paper launches, we can blame scalpers, we can praise AMD's efforts but the truth is it's simply not enough. MSRP, steam survey figures, you name it, it all stinks.
Don't get me wrong, I still have full faith in Lisa Su and the lads, but MASSIVE restockings are desperately needed in September. Otherwise I'm not very optimistic about the RX 9070 GRE, or it outselling the RTX 50 Supers for that matter. Not shipping like this. What do you think, /pcbg/? #RadeIN or #RadeOUT?

GenP lets you activate Creative Cloud modules fairly easily while m0nkrus releases are just scooped out modules made to run by themselves (make sure to firewall the .exe though.)

They do this so as to not break existing programs. There’s a lot of stuff at work to allow this to function, and there’s nothing guaranteeing the OS can’t start doing this. Whether it’s reasonable to expect this to become a thing in future is a different matter.

I laugh because I feel the pain. I have like 4 or 5 Obsidian docs on how to thoroughly set up a few machines I had. And maybe it is autism, because it explicitly includes the fucking order in which I'm meant to change the settings even though it probably has no effect. I just feel better if I know it's done in the exact same order on all machines.
Anyway now I don't care because Nix does it all for me. One config and I can be confident it's perfect every time, whether I'm installing a new system from scratch or updating an existing one. To Nix both cases are the same.

I know from personal experience that trying to find anything on Japanese sites using Google Images has almost become impossible in just the past couple years, like it goes out of its way to exclude Japanese results even when you're searching in Japanese.
The internet is a fucking pozzed shell of what it used to be, now. It doesn't even matter what may or may not be out there on it; the net overlords won't allow you to find it.
Browse feeds about the current thing and be happy.

lmao bro your literacy aint good

there is a massive difference between spying on people, and running a disinformation machine that also doubles a media censor. its not just a tool for government it's literally leverage itself. no need to spy on your enemy when you can gangstalk them

thats why the internet is dying, it's because everyone is trying to rape each other. hacking laws are literally not enforced anymore unless you steal money, and dont even get much fucking started on epstein and maxwell having prominent reddit accounts

its so fucking different now, the internet is easily 10x more hostile than what we had with spam and viruses 20 years ago

Seems like my headset is finally giving up after 8 years of use. The left side is completely unresponsive and I can't handle having audio played in only one ear.
I'm looking for a decent midrange headset, emphasis on the set because even though I have an xlr microphone setup, having a backup mic ready to go is essential to me.
I'm completely out of the loop on what's popping nowadays, a lot of brands I don't recognize. Budget is in the $50-$100 range, my market is Europe's.
I don't care much for microphone quality, what matters to me most is audio quality. Obviously it doesn't have to be the best quality considering the price range, but I'm not looking for a bassboosted negro approved set, I like my mid range and trebles. Wired or not, USB or jack, doesn't matter.
I'll also take channel/blogger recommendations so long they don't glaze whomever pays them most and provide good breakdowns with comparisons on the products they review.

Doesnt work that way, example

you got a 1024x1024 image and you mask a 200x200 area
without inpaint only masked it processes the entire 1024x1024

with inpaint only masked it only processes around 264x264 (thats your 200x200 plus 32 pixels padding all around)

basically it crops to just the masked area instead of running the whole image, but full resolution? No, thats urban myths

I'm looking for a laptop that has a 1366x768 panel but a relatively recent cpu, at least 10 000+ cpu mark.
Is it possible to find something like this?
Basically, high dpi screens really fuck with my eyes, making them constantly refocus. I've been using a 1366x768 laptop for 8 years then switched to a newer laptop with a 1920x1080 screen and started having severe eye strain, with my myopia worsening in the span of 2 months.
I can only comfortably use a low-res screen, it seems. How would you get out of this predicament bros
>>
>>106469757
I don't think DPI is the issue here. PWM is.
Modern panel controls brightness by rapidly turning the screen on and off. Try set the brightness to max and see if it helps.
>>
>>106469776
I did consider this, and found that the new 1920x1080 laptop I used actually didn't have PWM. Currently, I have a Mac Air 15 M4 side by side with a thinkpad e15 (with 1920x1080) from work, and the difference is night and day. It's like when looking at thinkpad screen, I perceive the information being displayed "immediately", while on mac, my eyes constantly refocus on each part of the screen to be able to read. And scaling doesn't help.
With this thinkpad e15 it's also not perfect, with prolonged usage I still get fatigue.

The point of GNU/Linux is to have a free and open source operating system. The Linux kernel also happens to be better than the Windows kernel; it stands to reason that the userland should also be superior.
>>
>>106469796
Not even Windows "just works" anymore btw
>>
>>106469864
The trouble with the userland is it's forever frozen in the UNIX era. Android shows that you can do things differently if you want but desktops and servers are stuck with what we've got.
>>
>>106469874
The trouble with the userland is morons claiming Linux shouldn't just work. Linux is ready for YOTLD but the Linux community isn't.
>>
>>106469881
It should "just werk" the question is more about how it should work rather than "it shouldn't work".

I really wish we had things like Android's Binder for IPC instead of things like DBus, etc. Almost anything you'd want to do can be done though, it's just a question of difficulty as posts like: >>106469529

Theoretically, can you completely de-India your computer by only using software without any Indian commits? Linus removed all Russian code from the Linux kernel, so something like this is certainly doable.

What's a good base to start with for building a non-Indian OS under a free licence? Arch?

It's not "all Russian code" or "all Russian maintainers" removed. It's in fact much more narrow -- just the maintainers with emails that have domains of sanctioned companies. That's it. That's the extent of the "Russia" ban -- and it's mostly because of legal issues due to the Linux Foundation having to abide by US sanctions.
