>Steven Bartlett, the founder and host of The Diary of a CEO podcast, took a chance on an applicant with a virtually blank CV for that very reason.

>“I hired someone who’s CV was two lines. Their experience was zero,” Bartlett explained in a recent LinkedIn post. “Much of the reason why I gave her the job was because: She thanked the security guard by name on the way into the building.”

>“When she didn’t know something, in the interview she said ‘I don’t know that yet, but here’s how I’d figure it out,’” Bartlett explained. “After the interview she went and self-taught herself the answer she didn’t know, and emailed it to me within hours.”

>The founder took a chance on the experience-less candidate, and it didn’t take long to pay off; Bartlett said that six months later, she has proved herself as one of the best hires he’s ever made. “Fifteen years of hiring has taught me that culture fit and character is MUCH harder to hire than experience, skills or education.”

Why has no big brand succeeded in the e-ink tablet space?
Huawei and Lenovo tried and abandoned their products
Amazon has the Kindle Scribe series but it's Amazon
Boox has nice hardware and features but typical Chinese brand software longevity
Suprenote is meh
Remarkable is trying to be Apple too hard

Anything more specific?
The advantage I see for Neoreader is that it's more directly integrated into the system and therefore less ghosting and faster page turns. You can refresh the screen with a single tap instead of needing a gesture.

Why do people on /g/ accuse Cloudflare of being a "MITM"? Obviously an HTTP reverse proxy needs to be able to process HTTP requests to function. Also, if someone is paranoid, they can use the Web Crypto API.

they literally are impersonating the server
>>
>>107847251
Yes, they are publicly presenting themselves as the server on behalf of the origin server. Nothing nefarious about that.
>>
>>107847295
>nefarious
you're the only one claiming that itt
btw how's the benefits working at cloudflare? I always wondered about that
>>
>>107846847
What difference does it make which party they're impersonating? Does a MITM stop being a MITM once you're pretending to be the server?
>>107847295
There's nothing nefarious in and of itself with any machine relaying info. The implied nefariousness doesn't come from this factor, so why are you underlining that?

1. surprised debian would ship stable with a super modern beta version of a program
2. wondering lowkey what the odds are they will move 4.1 final to trixie. I see its beta 5 (latest) counterpart in forky. I am hopeful the maintainers will be moving it into trixie.
3. wtf at mam. most trackers will bitch about clients but not go over the top unless you are downright cheating.... "Oh MaM doesnt like betas" I have more upload than god so honestly can care less about upload.

Otherwise feels good to be on trixie. Lot of shockingly modern packages are running on it.

My original post was about general tabletting. I recently got Lenovo y700 to replace my aging 11 inch iPad pro. Hell, even lightroom is unoptimized shit from a phone. So instead an ultra portable PC I got an overpriced manga reader. The whole productivity category is nonexistent on android.
For drawings and shit I think there is nothing that beats procreate. Easy, fast and amazing interface. But if you're not that serious anything with any pen will do.

Get an iPad. Android tablets have made progress, but they still aren't touching the iPad for creative use.

I'm a broke Brazilian university student. I need money for absolutely everything, and the economy is terrible. I had the brilliant idea of taking out a loan in my mother's name. The name remains active for this and I would be able to get the loan if it weren't for the easy verification. What to do?

I mean mine has it but it's not commonplace.

>>107841460
It's been a feature on TVs and phones for a long time, it's only desktop monitors that are lagging behind.
And it is strange because even normies these days know about "low eye strain" monitors.

>>107841488
Yes even my old TV from 2012 had an ambient light sensor, it's just desktop monitors that don't have one for the most part.

It's not unexpected, but don't let the retard, coping anons here tell you that OLED monitors don't get burned in at all. They do, and they will. I only bought mine because I can easily replace the screen at no charge.

Depends what you need. If you just need source control, issues, and documentation publishing, run a Fossil instance. It'll let you keep all that under your direct control.
It's up to you what you put in it. If it's stuff which governments want to censor, you'll have to deal with the consequences eventually, ngl.

These are the only Features that would make me want to upgrade to the new bloated ios-looking version of macos.

Will these actually remove pajeet interactions from my life and get rid of the annoyance of sitting on hold or is it bunk?

I keep seeing videos about people wanting to switch to Linux. Is this a trend now among normies, or am I just being fed shit by YouTube's algorithm? Have you heard of any non-tech users switching to Linux, or did you help someone switch?
>>
>>107847015
Even normies are getting tired of windows 11 most of them are using mint and bazzite and cachyos. Most of them know nothing of gnu and fsf and the principles of foss or really anything about anything they just know that windows 11 sucks and Linux plays games now.
