how about 2.5" hdds? how do they stack up against ssds and 3.5" hdds in term of handling the stresses of long term seeding?

If you're given an unknown binary, and your task is to figure out what it does, it's a lot easier to stare at the output of the decompiler than it is to stare at the raw hex bytes of the binary.
It's not easy, sure, but if all you had to work with was the binary, then it'd be practically impossible.
>>
>>106485953
Hmm, ask in /hsg/, I'm not sure what the pros and cons of 2.5'' are.
For 6+tb and growing I'd just buy a couple of 8, 10, 12 or 16tb disks, depending on how much you expect it to grow and what deals show up on diskprices. I still think you're overthinking it.
Heck, people usually say to buy refurb because it's often cheaper by a wide enough margin that even if the expected life might be shorter than brand new disks, you still get more value even when factoring in replacement costs. Especially if the refurb comes with a good warranty.

how many times can you reinvent a brick?
>>
at least 16 times apparently, maybe more
>>
>>106485898
good question
every release looks the same
the apps were supposed to be native
the hardware is more capable than an average workstation of yesteryear
the battery lasts 1-2 days while it does nothing even when you turn most of the background shit
>>
>>106485898
You cannot infinitely reinvent a brick (smartphone). Due to entropy and resource degradation, each reinvention moves the system closer to thermodynamic equilibrium—where no useful work or innovation can occur. While technology allows for many iterations—through recycling, remanufacturing, or software evolution—the number of reinventions is fundamentally limited by the laws of thermodynamics.

So, how many times can you reinvent a brick?
Not infinitely. Only as long as usable energy and ordered matter remain—and that number is finite.

I didn't say refuse, I said positivity. I'm seething in part because I never get refusals on Claude so seeing this shit is like a jump scare. But both sonnet and 4.1 are trying to deus ex machina or are pretending I didn't die or whatever nonsense rather than going along with it. This is generally my experience with sonnet too. You can't let things get too bad and have to tardwrangle it before it accepts your thing.

Firefox 52 for whatever will allow it and a modern Firefox fork for sites that insist on cloudflare.

God, I love people that use ai to create a website.

Yesterday, I found out an awards site was created using AI site creator called "Lovable"

The site has no ratelimit no auth nothing u can vote multiple times with one device

I've created a script python that rigs the voting for fun

Rewrote the script in rust with AI for the irony and performance.

You can get the NOMINEE_ID if you monitor the sites requests with devtools.

And /g/ I'd appreciate you if you take time and find any vulnerabilities in the site

You can watch the live results here:

But CPU goes up to 98 C...

How the heck should I fix this anyhow? How do you decrees CPU temp?

undervolt the cpu
>>
Yeah undervolting is the best solution. Was given an old MSI GF72-8RE with an i7 that was hitting 97 celsius just installing games on steam. Took it apart, repasted the cpu and gpu and all it did was stop it spiking as quickly. Applied a very modest undervolt using a literal text file in Linux Mint and now it maybe hits the low 70s under full load.
>>
If your gaming laptop/workstation whatever is pushing 100 degrees when under load it's working as intended.
it's not dangerous for the machine at all and it's not something to worry about
>>
>>106475849
Change the monitor orientation to upside-down. Attach an external keyboard and mouse. Suspend the laptop from the ceiling, also upside-down so the heatsink and fan are right-side-up and unencumbered by any sort of surfaces. Turn the aircon down to lower the room's ambient temp.

The tweezers are so good.
Thank you, Polish anon.
>>
>>106485908
well, as far as that last part is, its 100% polyester oeko-tex 100 certified, not sure what it uses for the advertised water repellent part, or how much rain it can actually withstand (chargpt said 3000mm but I don't know if it hallucinated it or not), but I've been searching for ANYTHING with pitzips for like a year so i hope its good. and it has a mesh underlayer so I think at least I'm not gonna be wet from sweat in it, if I go slowly.
ironically though the best fabric would be complete waterproof plastic. just have to make it with zips and good ventilation stuff.

if it isn't good wonder if I could try to DIY a wax oil waterproof coating, or would it melt the polyester or wouldn't absorb

Now all user interface elements have rounded borders.

YouTube, Netflix, etc.

We are still on the flat menace, tho.

Why is this happening? AI making it easier to modify interfaces?

they don't have to innovate, japanese EVs are built to be disposable since nobody keeps their cars older than 3 years thanks to the shaken
>>
EVs as a concept are a non-starter if you're not a homeowner with the ability to provide 240V charging in your garage, anyone else has to deal with trickle chargers hanging down from their apartment or power cords leading to the street where their EV is parked.
>>
>>106485276
>they don't have to innovate
EV's are developing incredibly fast.
If they don't innovate they won't be selling many cars in the near future.

And it's sad because I like Japanese cars but I don't see how companies like Nissan and Toyota can still exist 20 years from now.
>>
>Used EV
couldn't pay me
>>
>>106485297
Depends where you live.
Adding chargers to public parking spots is easy and cheap, there just has to be a political will like wanting cleaner air in your city.

Where I live there are public chargers in pretty much every street and if there aren't enough in your neighborhood you can request one when you buy an EV.
