the $30 US shipping kills it
found a supplier for the base connector (they're sold as edge connectors, not free right-angle connectors), not that hard to 3d print a case around them
benefit of digikey is that this is all shipped together from the US too, gonna get some more items (they sell nice tweezers for work) but keeping this order sheet for the project
need to get some enameled mini wires too
>>
>>106529472
You sure you want those edge mount female connectors too? I know the Faunus BOM and most Koss mods call for the screw-in type.

The code in that repo reads like AI slop and a lot of the "performance optimizations" don't make any sense to me.
But it does use the v_dot2_f32_f16 for FP16 multiplication with FP32 accumulation that I was previously unfamiliar with as I hadn't read the Vega ISA documentation in detail.
After applying the same instructions to mainline llama.cpp https://github.com/ggml-org/llama.cpp/pull/15884 I've found it to be faster.
It's getting to the point where I think Mi50s will soon be a universally better buy than P40s:

| GPU | model | backend | test | t/s |

>KTT Matcha
Oh man. First and last custom switch I bought and have been using them for what, 5 years? Is nice. You can still buy em new today?
The casings are weak as shit and fit badly in my K552, that's the only problems I have with them. I had replace a few, one or two of my keys are now the KTT stem in an Outemu blue housing, hilarious.
Also the spring could be better, putting the spring from an actual cherry mx blue made mine a lot better in my opinion. Shorter, therefore bigger ramp up, therefore more tactility.

Think I will replace the whole thing soon though. There is a Model M for $90 listed locally in good shape. Opinions? It's the best fucking deal I've seen in 5 years, short of magically finding one in a trash heap, that's just not happening. I've seen them sell for $200 with missing keys years ago.
>>
>>106529695
>Shorter, therefore bigger ramp up, therefore more tactility.
I've always found shorter springs had the opposite effect, since the tactile bump is near the top and you're taking away resistance up there.

In this case I'd bet it's because you went from a 45g spring to a 60g spring.

I think the supposed downsides to used cards are overstated. The one thing of value to me that LTT ever produced is his video on used mining cards, and he didn't find any flaws with the majority of the cards. Chips don't really fail in that way. Age related failure is more of a mechanical wear thing, but a conductive piece of silicon remains a conductive piece of silicon with usage.
I actually just recently bought a used 3090 because NVIDIA's sales strategy for the 50 series here has caused the price of 3090s to fall pretty hard. It's still in the post but I'm looking forward to it arriving for my server build.
That said, even though I like used, I'm going to be looking for used Arc next time around for sure.
I don't really feel any brand loyalty to any components company, so for me this is great because it's disruptive and hurts the notion that high VRAM should be really expensive. Feels like a bit of a price bubble might be about to burst.

Will have to step up from the 1L mini PCs I've been using up until now though.

Also in the long term

Have been using some type of Mozilla / Netscape-derived browser on my primary computing devices since about 1998. Started with Netscape Navigator, moved onto Mozilla Suite, found my way over to Firefox, K-Meleon, Camino, and IceCat. Currently using either IceCat or Firefox ESR on all of my PCs, and IronFox on Android (Firefox Mobile, the way God intended it to be). Couldn't be more pleased with these choices.

When I absolutely need glowgle chromeshittery, I reluctantly use Brave (with tons of flags and "features" disabled), but the Fox is still tops. Best extension ecosystem, and literally more flexible than any other browser can dream of.

Bought a HP50G, HP48G and a HP48GX for a grand total of 100€. Owner didn't know their value and though the 48G was broken (it wasn't).
Bought a Tektronix 2440 with cart and co-processor for 250€ because owner through it was broken (it wasn't).
Bought a Sony GDM-F520 (the best display ever made) for 250€ because it needed a quick capjob on its video board.
Bought unused Sundaras for 50€ because of channel imbalance, which was a 20 minute soldering job to fix.

One of the local private schools must've upgraded their math lab, because about 20 HP48G calculators showed up at Goodwill once a decade ago. Bought them all for $20 each and flipped them on eBay for I think $70-80. The school did write their name on the cases with a paint pen. But careful work with a Dremel and Goo-gone made easy work of it.

I've encountered that, this is a misunderstanding on their part of what CORS actually is. It's not a Firefox issue. It's the server telling you to fuck off.

You can think of CORS like a firewall for web servers. The server sets rules and the client (Firefox) enforces them. Chrome and other browsers do the same thing too but where things get interesting is when sites respond differently to Firefox than they do with Chrome.

The browser will make an OPTIONS request to see what it's allowed to do and validate the headers it returns and sometimes the server will see you're using Firefox on Linux and shit itself or have aggressive rules that conflict with extensions like 4chanx so the browser will block something it probably shouldn't have.

The most common type of error you'll see is something like "Preflight check failed" (if you open the developer console, otherwise it'll just silently fail):
https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/HTTP/Guides/CORS/Errors/CORSPreflightDidNotSucceed

This is especially annoying in the case of some sort of network issue (not yours) because it will just fail until you try it again.

Technology is rapidly regressing.
Windows 10 took away the analog clock.
Windows 11 took away the second. There is no built in way in Windows 11 to see the second. It's not in the start menu. It's not in the clock app. It's not in the notification area. It's not in the calender that opens form the notification are when you click on the clock. You have to install a 3rd party app or open a webpage to see the second.
