Try to write something more complicated than your school projects!

man, I still deal with Pascal stuff. It's not that good either.

this is hilarious because "school projects" and "blog posts" represents 99.9% of /g/eets's experience with programming (if any).
>>106972129
you're conversing with a /g/eet (possible llm) who web-scraps for "rust problems" and spam them endlessly. "it" doesn't actually comprehend anything.
>>
>>106972149
system languages don't have to be very "good" vs. C++, because no matter what. they will have infinitely less layers of shit than C++.
no one can catch a language that isn't designed, but rather had a committee with the sole incentive to keep adding shit to it for decades.
>>
>>106972089
>rust
>performance
errr, no.
just no.
its decently fast but its way slower than c
unless you write c. in rust. which completely defeats the purpose of the language.

to be fair it may find a use in osshit and servers, if you have to deal with a constant personnel churn.
i wouldnt use it as it is now, but theoretically rust could bring new stuff to the table.
still, its not a solution desirable to any degree when performance is your chief concern

seriously
why the fuck would i bother with safety mechanisms only to promptly ignore them?
why would i care about a standard library if im gonna reimplement everything myself anyways?

Probably somewhere around there. In the end it's still PU leather, in an application that is exposed to physical stressors (when you put it on and off) and stuff like the oils in your hair.
Probably best to just mentally accept that PU leather doesn't last forever and factor in the replacement cost. Thankfully the way the dt770s are designed means replacing all the important parts (padding, earpads and even the plastic connectors for each earpiece) are trivially easy to replace.
If you really wanted something to last longer you could look for a fabric one rather than PU I suppose, but would have to wash that more often.

>>
>>106972235
it's clearly too simple for him.
only thing immediately obviously bad is vector<bool>, but we don't talk about vector<bool>
>>
>>106956287
>no c++ experience

so you have to import standard lib vector and import standard string for usage in variable citites which is a vector, wtf is a vector?
wtf is auto???
so array large.. wtf is this const auto& s, but only return if string size is larger than 5?

phew okay lets continue
another auto shit, cities, but now you start piping shit?
so pipe standard::views, wtf is standard view used for?`so you somehow filter city names that size is larger than 5, then you pipe a reverse? and then as_rvalue?

wtf is r_value?
and now its pipe into range to empty standard vector

i will not even try to understand wtf the last for loop does.

Yes

I took a look at it seems like most control either requires a usb connection or if its a remote management card it just uses snmp
I don't think constantly querying the device to see if utility power is down is very efficient, meanwhile my smtp forwarding can be called on demand and is done so when the device itself detects something is wrong.

But I've been looking into getting battery capacity, either via snmp or requests

i don't even see the value of llms as a search engine replacement outside of the most general "what is an elephant" type questions. i already have to verify that whatever i pull from search engine results is reliable, having to verify that the llm is accurately summarizing its source and then still having to verify the source itself is just more work for me.

Depends on the encoder. Sometimes they are 1/3 the size, sometimes they are 1/2 the size.

You also get web-dls and remuxes, ratio-free. It's comfy af. x265 is just a bonus.

There's a reason why these things are so popular anon. Having a bunch of specialized pointy metal bits with you in any given situation is simply demonstrably useful. Could you do most od those with just a knife? Maybe. But it wouldn't be as easy.

Btw the corkscrew knot trick is fucking great. You twist it once or twice and any knot just relaxes. Try doing that with just a pointy piece of metal, you'll go crazy.

Eric has failed us, he has literally one job, and that is to provide 25 puzzles, per year, on schedule. Now it's only a 12 day challenge, how can you even call that "advent" of code, which is supposed to count down to Christmas. I am outraged, and you should be too. What if Santa's elves just decided to stop making half the toys??? Ridiculous.

>Also, starting this year, there will be 12 days of puzzles each December.

>Why did the number of days per event change? It takes a ton of my free time every year to run Advent of Code, and building the puzzles accounts for the majority of that time. After keeping a consistent schedule for ten years(!), I needed a change. The puzzles still start on December 1st so that the day numbers make sense (Day 1 = Dec 1), and puzzles come out every day (ending mid-December).
