Well that's very demoralizing. I knew about Linux for years, but I switched only a year ago. Back then, I knew fucking nothing about computers so I didn't want to switch yet in case I fucked something up. Is there noone like me among new users, someone else who cares about freedom for the users and who doesn't want corporate interests to dictate everything that goes down with Linux?
It's so sickening what happened, I have no words for it.
I just wanted to help keep Linux free... I wanted to help, because I believe that it was made to be a force for good in this world.

I used it for a couple of years when I started out with Linux (2003-ish) because I liked Debian's infrastructure but Stable's packages were too outdated. I can't recommend it, or any other rolling-release distro for that matter, if you want a reliable system that won't surprise you with having to do a bunch of maintenance shit at random times.

I use Ubuntu LTS now. I like the update cadence. Every 2 years I update the distro on a day when I'm sure I can afford to invest 2 hours or so either fixing shit or reinstalling the system, if necessary.

Based, grownup and employed.
I use RHEL largely for the same reason, except it's every 3 years instead of 2, which is even better for me.

They keep trying this shit but consumers have approximately zero interest in or support for cloud computing. The overwhelming majority of Xbox game pass users download and play the games locally despite the cloud services coming as part of the subscription. Latency, privacy and reliability concerns are always at the back of everyone's minds.

Terrorism just means anti-semitism at this point.
They’ve flanderized the term to the point it doesn’t even mean anything else.
The only non anti-jew terrorist orgs i can think of are “eco-terrorists” but do those larping faggots even exist?
All the actual ‘terrorism’ the news won’t shut up about are just anti Semitic orgs now.
You don’t even have to be doing anything, if you say you dislike Israel on a college campus they’ll harass your college professor to report you as a hamas terrorist anyways.

>Song submission rules/guidelines
Upload the file somewhere, preferably in a lossless format, and post the link here. If you want to update your track, make a new post.
Include the song title in the post, and make it clear that your song is a submission for the album.
Optionally you may include cover art for your track, but please confirm that the image in your post is the cover art or it won't be included. You may not use your real artist name.
Songs that contain anything against YouTube's policies won't be uploaded on YT, but will still be added to the album.
By default, tracks will be normalised to -14 LUFS (integrated loudness) in the release. You may specify a lower loudness for your track.
Use of AI is banned. This includes AI generated stems, samples, and effects. "AI" includes all neural network-based models and not hard-coded automation/procedural generation. You are allowed to ask an LLM about music-related questions, but asking it to give you musical ideas (eg. generating a chord progression) is already a no-no.

could be a fit or sound sensitivity issue. have you experimented with tips? many people have different sized ear canals for example. or it could be a treble or bass issue. does your tensor tympani muscle flex when this happens? that was my tell that my tolerance was ending

Yeah, both the VK4 and the HBB are warmer sets, this is my first time using a neutral/bright set.My suspicion is the different tuning might be a bit too strong for the game I'm playing, there are a lot of explosions and gunfire pretty much all the time, although I have a setting enabled that should compress the loud sounds like the ones above, it still might not be enough.
I have been ordering several different types of tips. I got the Dunu S&S, they sound pretty good but are quite uncomfortable for me, so I returned those. I also tried the AZLA SednaEarfit Light Short, which also sounds so freaking good, but tip size S is literally sold out everywhere so I can't get those, and the MS were too big. Now I'm waiting for the Tri Clarions to arrive, which should be pretty good as well.

I gotta say I do love the neutral/bright tuning, as it makes vocals, specifically female vocals, and instruments sound better. Main reason I prefer this tuning is because I can hear footsteps better, and the clarity and separation for Arc Raiders is perfect.

These and the hifiman r-10 """clones""" were a complete trainwreck and are objectively some of the worst headphones ever. This is just cashing in on a Chinese trend of putting the R-10 shaped wooden cups on headphones as a weird status flex.

In your case you're much better off getting something more balanced and just upping the bass shelf in EQ yourself. JT7 is probably it, like >>107871114 said - you're fairly limited at that price range vs what IEMs will do.

Would I be better off with something such as SONY's MDR7506 (pictured)

or

Philips Audio SHP9500

They do not have new technology in them but they are from well stablished audio brands. I have earbuds from phillips and they sound great for 15 dollars.
>>
>>107871283
both of them are great imo, 7506's are a mainstay for a reason. The pads are just goofy for some because they're relatively thin.
>>
>>107870870
So you can attenuate the recording or apply tone correction in the digital domain without noticeable distortion. Open youtube, play a video at 2x speed with half volume. You're now leveraging extra sample rate and size.

>>107871027
'we' meaning younger people can hear into the low 20kHz range. Shannon-Nyquist says you need at least double that output precision to express arbitrary signals without distortion, which is why DAC frequencies usually start in the 40kHz.

If HR negresses are not only allowed, but also expected, to take advantage of "AI" and automated screening tools, then so am I.

There was a time when it was actually decent. The first 6 months or so there weren't jannys ruining the entire website and it was filled with useful information submitted by anonymous people.
>>
I was a "long term abuser" of Wikipedia. Their jannies (which they call admins, bureaucrats and stewards) have taken out all the fun out of vandalizing because of their revert bots, blacklists, and abuse filters. They have been getting a lot more stricter on proxies as well thanks to the "ipoid service" that automatically scans for residential proxies. Many of the Wikipedia's jannies have been on there every day for over 20 years. A Wiki janny is way more powerful than a 4chan janny.
