thoughts on fruit arrow?
yeah yeah yeah zoomer this fake history that. I just want to talk about this aesthetic, particularly in software. I personally really like it. It feels lively, peaceful, and futuristic. After this came minimalism where UI was super flat, dull, and spaced out. Basically the opposite of the 3D gradient-heavy water vibes of fruit arrow.

sounds like the gaskets then. that's generally considered a premium feature, but it's all preference. the other boards you tried were probably all tray mount which is the cheapest and most straightforward way to do it. if you like that rigidity you ideally want top mount then but again, I don't think you're gonna find it because the more you sink into the keyboard autism rabbit hole, the less common a 100% layout is

>what sort of switches would counteract that. Tactile?
i don't really know, honestly. I will say if you're daring, you could make the board more rigid by replacing the poron with cheap adhesive silicone feet off of amazon and basically convert it into a silicone gasket mount. i just did something similar with a board that was top mount only and made it into a makeshift plateless build

ignore the other guy, he's the resident shitposter

just looked and k series doesn't even use gaskets. i think i just figured it out though. it uses a flex cut pcb. there's no way to fix that and it will sound like ass without foam. i would not recommend it. get a v series instead

It's not the sound (or lack of sound) i'm worried about, so much as the physical feel when typing that feels soft or mushy to me.

I also don't know what a V series is so you'll have to clarify or give me a link

oh, and one last thing
EVERY practicionner will ask for payement
its part of the philosophy of the system
its linked with its history.
the whole thing started in japan around 150 years ago?
and the inventor of the system started dipending inits to whomever was willing
but people didnt appreciate the gift
and so now its a rule to get paid
not always in money, but you need to give a token of effort in exchange for the services given
it can be symbolic, but you will have to pay something.
most often its money because its a direct token of effort but a poorfag farmer may pay with a dozen eggs, or some flour for example
its part of the philosophy. dont be surprized if you dont get freebies, and it wont mean youre dealing with a grifter
what you may do is negociate that you pay after the service. if you dont experience what i outlined above, theyre bunk, and you dont need to pay em cuz theyre a grifter

And by 2014 on sale you could get the FX-6300 for just $90 and the FX-8320 for $120. And AMD motherboards were cheaper as well compared to Intel. If you built a $500 or cheaper system in those days there was zero reason to go for Intel in those days.
>>
>>107801230
The times where the 6300 was $89.99 was fucking crazy, 16GB of RAM for like $90 as well, just absolutely insane the decent rigs you could build because it was before all the mining and AI nonsense.

I wanna go back, yeah my current i7 is faster than n FX-8350 and uses 65w, but I have never had as much fun with a computer as I did when that 125w motherfucker, first overclock, my first full graphics core being the 7970, so much fun.
>>
Pic related plus 8gb gskill ripjews was my /hsg/ setup for a couple years when I brought it out of retirement until about a year ago when I stopped playing vidya so I repurposed my gaming pc to my new server and reretired it.
>>
>>107801260
Yeah like in 2015 you got so much out of a PC for so cheap. For less than $500 you could get the following:
CPU: $90 AMD FX-6300
CPU Cooler: $13 Deepcool GAMMAXX 200T (I bought an FX-6300 in 2015 and that stock cooler sounded like a Jet Engine)
MB: $40 Gigabyte GA-76LMT-USB3 AM3+
Ram: $60 16gb (4x4gb) G-Skill Ripjaws 1866mhz DDR3 (shitty MB probably won't let it run at that speed but 1866mhz was cheaper than 1600mhz)
Storage: $35 Adata SP600 64gb SSD + $52 WD Blue 1tb
GPU: $160 PowerColor PCS+ Radeon R9 380 4gb (basically as fast as a 1050ti)
Case: $20 Shitty DIYPC Matx case
PSU: $33 Thermaltake TR2 700W 80 plus bronze

total: $503
>>
>>107801507
honestly those cpus were such a shit value for anything other than rendering/transcoding, an overclocked core 2 quad will out perform them in most games of that era, 2015 was a great time to buy used, lga 1366 / lga 1156 and lga 775 ,phenoms were dirt cheap, and all offered better performance in most cases.

why is AMD the brand associated with pajeets when it comes to GPUs nowadays?

>>

It always ways, and it's because it's the cheap alternative, so jeets naturally gravitate to it since they're more likely to be able to afford it

It's the very first thing you see on a brand new OS. If it looks as unpolished in terms of design it won't help with growing it's user base. I haven't seen any good riced KDE setup. There's always strange sizes, typefaces and spacings around the elements. It needs some professional designer's touch.

Long story short all the tutorials of programmers i watched online, never liked what I saw.

They all look dead inside, depressed, robotic face and speech completely lacking emotions. And they are content creators-programmers. I wonder what real people who sit at the screen write instructions all day look like. One needs to sacrifice having a fun charismatic personality to be a coder right ?

*John Carmack looks all right though. A bit nerdy but doesn't radiate sadness.

I was off a bit https://dmrthesis.net/story-and-question/

He had no friends outside of his business colleagues, he rarely socialized, he did not have (nor never had) a relationship with anyone, he wouldn’t talk about/acknowledge discussion about emotional issues in any form. There were topics that were completely off limits with Dennis – mostly having to do with any form of personal intimacy. This was true for his Bell Labs colleagues, who speak of Dennis’ personal life as a kind of private zone where they do not tread, and true with his siblings also.

Half the good programmers have shit like this in their background
