when are they adding hdr?
if they can't do that then it's useless.

When is X11 adding proper mixed-res displays, mixed refresh rate, per-window scaling, per-monitor scaling, no tearing, GOOD fractional scaling, GOOD VRR, and HDR?
I know you can't afford such hardware, but answer in good faith.

>pop os on a server
At the time, the only gpu I had access to was a 550ti, which wouldn't work with ubuntu's gui. I asked here and pop was recommended because of the inbuilt nvidia support. I've since upgraded to a 3090 and am ready to move on. Still love it on desktop though.

>>106752327
Thanks

>>106752344
My server renders after effects and runs my ai shenanigans on the 3090, has a 64TB RAIDZ2 pool for work, and moonlights as a minecraft server. EVERYTHING goes in and out through wireguard, and much of it runs in a vm. I can't get pop to stop overwriting my nftables no matter what I try though.

Stability wise they're all pretty much the same, try it in a vm though because the package management is kind of ass in opensuse

why havent you killed yourself yet loser?

how embarrassing it must be for her to have to explain to her friends all the time that her son is still a fat 50 year old incel NEET loser eating all her food and taking up room stinking up her house and spends every waking minute of his incel life "owning M$/loonix"
there is no bigger no-life loser on this entire shithole of a site than you, and that's saying a lot

Ubuntu is much easier to configure and comes preconfigured a lot better than Debian which is why I say Ubuntu derivatives are better for beginners.

There was an old joke that Ubuntu is African for "Can't configure Debian".

I would say debian is a bit slow for people that start out. They don't appreciate what it offers and are most likely chasing the purple dragon because of gaming. When your hardware is more mature is when debian really shines but people are still conditioned to chase bleeding edge.

it's in redhat's interest to get a stranglehold on the linux ecosystem to maintain control over their enterprise/government contracts. there is no need to pontificate on what is good or not good for the user for a kernel that is used by tech savvy people or IT.
this is why insufferable people like ebussy exist at gnome because he gets it

No it's what happens when the people paying for the server has an incentive to cut corners to cut costs. Mumble is self hosted and uses your CPU so there's no reason to cut corners unless the user's internet and computer sucks.

Have you noticed that Teams fucking sucks for sharing an external UHD monitor? So every time I need to share my screen, I end up having to unplug my monitor and share on my small laptop screen, which blows.

I am getting desperate, even considering getting a low resolution monitor, just to avoid this issue.

Anyone else have this problem?
