It is not that based as it seems to be.
Keeping media in physical form is just another way of gatekeeping. Japs do know shit that their media has a reasonable value outside of Nihon shores but they still refuse to cope with fact that just at point of going fully digital average pantysniffer may discover ultimate joy of pirate's life and may actually think about the real value of golden rule "piracy offers a service"

Only a few months ago a bought an extra BW-16D1HT internal drive so I could have a spare. I just remembered that I intended to buy another because one spare isn't enough for something this important, but now it's out of stock everywhere. No other internal Bluray drives still made AFAIK.

Actually fonts have a lot of science that go into them, they're quire incredible.

Berkely Mono - Amazing (Pay to win)
Consolas - Best(Free)
Verdana - Best(Free)

Edges are easier to perceive to humans, so fonts are designed with this in mind.

Fonts actually store the method that was used to draw the character so it can be resized *precisely*.

A regular resize function doesn't work so well.

A lot of tech and science goes into these.

They look pretty different... Apple just invented the Plateau with the 17 series to make their phones look more like Pixels.

If Pixel is a "copy" of iPhone then so is Samsung and every other manufacturer's phone. Why single out Google? Is it because the frames are both glossy fingerprint magnets? Honestly don't get it.

the "current driven" just means you need to regulate the current. why is it so hard for you to understand what i'm proposing: just run it under the specified max current. i'm fully aware that it's stupid to run it over the current.

The concept is pretty cool, but I hate that it requires a license.
32 replies omitted. Click here to view.
>>
>>106972317
Podman will give you the OCI containerization and staging 1:1 (and sometimes better) than docker. The "licensed" part of docker is not about this though, this part is also free on Docker. There is also not really a compelling reason to use the docker engine over Podman, or vice versa, outside of really slim edge cases I doubt you will encounter. I use podman because it is FOSS, but the syntax of the containerfiles is 1:1 with docker and many of the build/run commands are as well.

There is no alternative to pulling base images from docker.io other than other using third party hosters like quay.io. You get a pretty large usage amount for free on docker.io though. The licenses are for docker.io, companies doing thousands of pulls a day combined. You won't run into it unless you are doing thousands of pulls a day from docker.io, which is unlikely.

This is the only real answer in the thread btw.

A lot of Appimages still need dependencies. Docker images run on their own, even on a vastly different version of Linux. I literally use Docker to run modern Linux software on our servers which run very old versions of Linux.

Can you click on 'anime name' and see both the seasons and the movie in the ui, or does the movie appear as a separate entry in your library that you have to search for? I admit I have only used jellyfin for a short time, but I don't remember it being able to do that.

Well honestly this is maybe the only prob that I've had with jellyfin since it came out. Its been prevalent all the time, the subtitles will always go out of sync if jumping in video, or starting it from anywhere else than start.

And I've run multiple jf instances with different osses and hw. Its always been fucked.

I still like it tho

They set whatever AIB overclock the 5070 Ti had to the nVidia spec for the testing to make the card match the unit they used for testing during their day 1 review. I don't see anything wrong with that? They did not make the 5070 Ti run any slower than what nVidia sets the chip to run at.
