If your house has phone lines installed you can get modems that can do gigabit over them using the G.hn standard (same standard that powerline uses)

Mesh wifi should be the best option, if they will be able to connect to each other
But it would be best if you connected all of them to ethernet, because it would give you very fast, one-network wifi in your entire house. And then you pretty much wouldn't need other cables.
But if you really can't, then if the meshes will be in range of each other, you will still have wifi everywhere, but slower (because it will only source from one of them)

There's always issues. Look at the total shitshow that is AWS. You have to back things up on AWS as well. Google Cloud lost all the data of some Australian investment fund a few years ago.

Anyways, I've never had any issues using Hetzner for many years now.

not for sound quality. better cables will have less microphonics, won't easily tangle or get stiff after a while and things like that. You can get pretty decent cable for like $10-15. But overall it's like whatever. I never really had problems with cables from cheap pos

Never because 90% of 4channers have 0 fucking clue that it replaces GIF and PNG better than it replaces JPG. So all they see is a JPG converted to webp and will go around moaning "WEBP BAD!".

BEST case scenario is we get jpeg2000 and I'm not joking. We recently got H264 support instead of AV1. 4chan is officially the fax machine of the internet.

On mac,
if you have multiple profiles runnings,
and you update from one of the profiles,
and you just leave everything running,
then things go screwy when trying to open new tabs or websites.

Everything starting working properly when you completely quit the old firefox instances,
then start the newly upgraded firefox.

I've seen this a few times because I usually have lots of tabs open and never like restarting firefox.

My guess is the problem you saw might have been something similar.
>>
Maybe I'm behind the times, but I thought Librewolf and Mullvad browser were peak, with ungoogled chromium on standby for sites that don't like gecko
>>
>>106996131
I don't think that's it. I'm on Linux, I didn't have any profiles running on it, and I always shut down my browser when I'm not using. If I had to guess, I would probably say that it has something to do with the browser not supporting the sites user verification system because it wouldn't even load that when I tried accessing it. It worked on Brave and Librewolf though.

Anyone who tells you to buy a crap mini for work, is an idiot.
Anyone who does work on crap-minis, your work requires RPi4-tier of CPU performance, which is 20 year old desktop CPU performance.
...and I am not going to fucking rant for all the retarded default settings that the supposed desktop computer called "crap-mini" has, because every fucking setting and shortcut is tailored to a laptop keyboard. you have to spend 2 days fixing the "just works" garbage to fit for desktop use, or you have to press multiple keys to do simple tasks like move the cursor to the start or the end of the line (what the home and end buttons do since the 50s)

Thank you for being a free email service accepted by my university, bank, and just about everything else I've tried it on. I used up my only phone numbers on silly gmail account names.

I've even seen doctors use it for client interactions. I hope it continues getting more normal and doesn't blow up like some other 'private' email services.
>>
>>106996310
only dkim, spf and dmarc. but only for sending mails. stalwart automatically set them up for you, you only have to set the corresponding dns records. they're only certs and additional verification that tells other mail server that all mail coming from domain.com must come from a selected list of ips to prevent fraud.
>>
It's one of the rare email services that doesn't rely on another email service when signing up. No joke, you make a hotmail account and I couldn't fucking login to it without using the backup email address to accept MFA tokens. Fuck that noise.

Also yes, more people should self host email. It should be normalized that people just host their own email servers and that's how people communicate. Throw one up on a used $20 Pi from ebay and take a backup every week. Setting up all the security things is the easy part. The hard part is keeping your IP out of bad lists. A cheap VPS might also be an option.
