WTF lol
You do know that all of the 'new Windows BAD' commentary is just boomerspook fearmonger trash by retarded people, right?
You have basically decided 'I don't want Microsoft to know a few nothingburger things about my Windows usage, BUT I REALLY, REALLY want everything I own and do to be completely viewable and accessible to China, Russia, North Korea, India, Somalia, Pakistan, etc...'
The machine is probably a malware/spyware piñata by now.

interest free ways to spread out the phones retail value over 2-3 years is fine. just know the remaining balance has to be paid before getting a new one. some companies let you pay less than the remaining balance to get a mew phone too like verizon.

Yes, acme is a non-starter because it is just way too mouse-centric. Cool idea, and I applaud the attempt, but the time has come to say goodbye to that one.

Some plan9 stuff has already been incorporated into linux. We’re still waiting for an important one: the re-implementation of tcp/ip as filesystem objects rather than berkeley’s first cut with accept() bind() etc.

The cpu server didn’t really pan out. We already had screen, rsh, remote X11. If course, nowadays we also have 64 core machines with 96 core gpus, so much less need to run something on a random “compute” server.

Plan9 would have been fine for getting work done though, it’s otherwise unremarkable.
>>
no, Smalltalk systems were supposed to be the future.
you are all stuck in thinking of terms of files and shit, using Bash to pipe around strings and shit.
everything could have been a Smalltalk, viisual shell. your todo notes could have been graphical arrays of structs or maps (is done?, text). all functionality to operate on these data structures available at a right click, or keyboard shortcut. PNG and JPEG images could just be objects, with graphical displays for editing functionality.
all of your data could be automatically persisted to disk, no need to even fucking think about files.
the shell simply reloads its state it had when it shut down, everything is back exactly where it originally was.

Seems to be, yeah. Pretty much every game out there made with UE5 suffers from it. It's either poor performance or poor image quality due to all the temporal accumulation effects looking like utter crap, or both in many cases. UE5 is the thing all these games have in common.
>>
>>106779190
Unreal didn't go down a path that disallowed wide open spaces to run (Id Tech IV, engine could not handle large areas so every game on it was cramped) or chase meme techs that had an infamously shitty initial outing (Id Tech V, VRAM wasn't enough at release for megatextures to be any good and nobody wants their 2011 AAA game to be full of textures that look like a 1997 game's)
>>
>>106776515
Unreal Engine does have problems but most non-coder game bros fail to understand. It's legacy code, leaky resource automation, and complexity.

/adg/ - AniStudio Diffusion General

>What is AniStudio?
An executable engine and editor for image, video and edit diffusion models written in C/C++ utilizing the stable-diffusion.cpp library.

>How To Install:
Download the Release for your OS and Platform (Cpu and GPU architecture)
Unzip the compressed file
If you are using Windows and you don't have VS C++ redistributable installed, run the installer included with the release
If you downloaded a GPU specific backend, please consult the documentation: How to Install GPU Dependencies
Run the .exe in the ./bin/ directory
Have fun!

>Why?
I created this application to leverage C/C++ for a highly modular and parallelized system capable of loading, inferencing, and training machine learning models, all within a unified UI. Existing UI solutions often rely on external tools for refining or editing, or suffer from runtime performance issues due to techstack limitations resulting in inconsistent rendering, slow loading, and unoptimized implementations. AniStudio is designed to maintain consistent performance under heavy loads allowing users to multitask traditional media creation and AI generated media with the freedom and power of C/C++.

I've been looking for cheat sheets for Regex, as a few of my extensions use it. And I stumbled upon this site https://overapi.com, pic related. The main page offers a ton of cheat sheets for many programming languages, complete with links to the documentation when you click on each element. The thing is, the site itself is a bit questionable (why does it have categories for Facebook and Yahoo that only link to the main site and their Wikipedia page?), but this got me thinking, what are some must have resources for this sort of stuff?

I don't mean just programming languages, I'm especially interested in stuff like the uBO solutions list they have on Reddit:
https://old.reddit.com/r/uBlockOrigin/wiki/solutions
https://old.reddit.com/r/uBlockOrigin/wiki/solutions/youtube

And yes, I know there's an official /g/ wiki, but it's a bit intimidating to slog through because of how much stuff is in there.

I don't know, the site itself is quite weird. Which is why I was asking for better alternatives. I know there are a ton of cheat sheet websites out there, but that makes finding the best ones even harder.

I just use something like regexr when I need to write complex regex. You learn a lot faster actually applying the stuff in real-time than attempting to memorize everything.

https://regex101.com
Not entirely what you want, but it DOES have a list of things in the bottom right

If you need something more structured, the Ruby Regex docs are decent, and cover a lot of things. Not all of them are supported by every regexp engine, but a lot of things use the same engine ruby does

I switched from gentoo to fedora 1 yr ago because contrary to the source based philosophy, recompiling packages would often not be successful and would require manual debugging. I switched back to fedora because it has sane RHEL defaults, SELinux is enforced by default. I just dont really have to fuck with it too much but gentoo taught me how to set my system up from a more in-depth perspective.

I just want to know if there is a way to get OpenRC as my default init system and replace systemd from a fresh minimal fedora net install. Maybe there is some compatibility layer that I can use that translates systemd functions to openrc?
>>
>>106779797
>recompiling packages would often not be successful and would require manual debugging
Been using Gentoo for 2 years and I can count on one hand the number of packages that have failed to compile. And those failures turned out to be my fault because I accidentally deleted the -O2 compilation flag from my make.conf file. You probably have a misconfiguration somewhere.

Scheme is significantly smaller and 95% similar to common lisp. If you know one you can switch to the other very easily. What you stick with is a matter of preference. I started with CL but I prefer Scheme for example. Both have great learning resources
