With the current state of the PC market I’m thinking of buying Apple, I know the M4 is powerful but how is MacOS? I heard Tahoe is shite but haven’t looked too deep into it.

No editable path text
No "go up 1 directory" button
No simple right click -> open in terminal
Font is tiny

I imagine some of those can be changed by fiddling with the options, but it puzzles me that's how it behaves by default

You can watch anime and read manga perfectly well in it, but for visual novels you will often need something like Crossover or Parallels. If you can get past this last hurdle, it is just as useable as Windows.

That tricky wording less wrong b/s is common across all vendor exams. Every test I've taken felt like they were written by ESLs.

People pass with packet tracer alone but IIRC there were some quirks you have to account for that can make troubleshooting a lil weird. If you're a total noob, it'll be more helpful to get the real stuff.
2 routers, 2 switches for a basic collapsed core design should be plenty. Buy local on marketplace, craigslist, etc for the best prices. You'll prob need a console cable, usb>serial adapter, cable crimping kit and wire, too. Learning to make cables is a right of passage and a skill you'll never forget, much like riding a bike.

i learned about it recently and it seems quite cool, but i don't even know if i would need it. i'm not a researcher or a writer, i just have a very overactive internal monologue (sometimes i can kinda space out and live in my head) and i want to be able to form a personal "knowledge base" to organize my interests/values/things ive learned/even just things i need to do.

what do you use it for? or is it just one of those things where people use it for a week and then forget about it forever?

I’m building an Obsidian alternative (native, not Electron). It’s compatible with plugins like Kanban, Excalidraw, Iconize, and Canvas, and it also includes some features that Obsidian doesn’t have. I’m thinking about monetizing it, but I’m not sure how. What features would you like to see, or would be willing to pay for?

Every note links to at least one other note, most commonly index notes for topics and categories. Then in each of those index notes I list every note that links to it. It's gotten to a point where I never use search anymore, just click my way through from the home page to any note.
>>
>>107816307
Just do exactly as Obsidian, and you've won.
Even better if you make opening things from the sidebar/search open a new tab by default.

Is it true that the iOS keyboard doesn't have a period or comma on the main row? Surely, this can't be right. What is the thought process behind this 'brilliant' UX decision?

You press the spacebar twice for a period.
>>

No it doesn't. Dictation does do that, however. Honestly just use Whisper, it's a million times better than typing or iOS's built-in dictation.

They deny the objectivity of beauty as a way to deny God. They want to make everything ugly because when you see real beauty it's obvious that it's objective. If everything is ugly then they can get away with the lie because we never see the obvious counterexamples.

No. I still have a dumb phone. If I can no longer use one in the future I will have no phone.

The only desktop i care about on the only distro I care to use.

Mint 22.3 was supposed to come our right before Christmas, but not only is it delayed, but who knows if Cosmic will even be added until after the package base switches to 26.04.
I'm so fucking sick of each 'organization' clinging to their dysfunctional garbage, and I haven't recompiled Cosmic myself for at least three alpha updates because I just want it native already.
No I won't use Pop because it has conflicts with applications that are supposed to just work on Ubuntu, unlike Mint.

wow that really narrows things down here...

most expensive mkg thing you boughts?
>>
>>107816536
Most expensive thing I've bought so far was the Typface monospace, and if the typeplus stabs end up working out I might finally have that board "done" after much fussing. Although I might need to re-seat a couple of switches because the keycaps aren't sitting quite right, and the numpad 0 stabs are a little out of alignment causing it to feel sluggish. But the mx browns are properly broken-in, lubed and filmed, with springs that feel just right and don't ping, and the plate is spray-painted black so the silver doesn't show between my keycaps, and the force break pads have eliminated all case ping (which might not have existed actually, at first I misdiagnosed spring ping as case ping because I'm a noob)...

So now other than Typeplus being ever so slightly problematic and the springs having the tiniest bit of crunch and one stab binding a little and a few keys sitting slightly crooked and the keykobo spacebar sounding just a tiny bit thin and the force break maybe needing to be removed but maybe not it's basically done...

It's not done...

>This might be a stupid question but why do we even need cpu emulation when this omores guy can run win98 with AM5 cpu and voodoo (through PCI PCIe adapter but still)?

That's the OS.
all the hardware you have will then still need win98 drivers. good luck with that.
>>
>>107813953
We actually have drivers for most common and generic shit, like onboard audio and USB.
Plus you can use old hardware, as anon mentioned, nothing stopping you from using PCIe to PCI bridges.
>>
>>107813953
