You should close browser tabs when you're done with them. If you want to quickly get back to where you were, there is a separate technology for that: bookmarks.

Do not use any kind of tab grouping feature. Turn it off. Only normal tab sizes, even if compressed when bar is full, then it starts having scrolling enabled when there are too many.
