200 years ago in England, 50% of people born would not see their 50th birthday.
Now, it's 3%. How is that not a shorter life back then?
>>
>>107994028
The average lifespan of someone who made it to adulthood was 60 years in 1850. And people were living in way more miserable crowded conditions at the start of the Industrial Revolution than they were in the Middle Ages.

People dont understand how much AI will replace humans,

2040 unemployment rate world wide will be 80%

2050 it will be nearly 95%

in 5 yeras there is not a single job that humans can do with Computer better than AI
>>
>>107994059
So the people who didn't make it to adulthood don't count as having had a shorter life expectancy? "if you just don't die, you live"?
also your figures are skewed by the aristocracy living significantly longer than the working man. In the early 1800s if a working class man reached 18 he could expect an average of about 20 more years, while an aristocrat could average about 35 more.

I would say 10/11th gen for intel and zen3 for amd was Windows 7 moment for CPUs. It all started going downhill since that point (disabling avx512 for estrogen cores, CPUs rusting or being fried by shitty bios), for njudea it would be RTX 30XX series, since after that they kinda started not giving a fuck about regular users end their GPUs had one major fuck up after another.

haven't used AI to write code but I made it audit mine
it noticed bugs when there weren't, especially the optimizations, it complained about me not using "standard practices" and was utterly unable to understand why I did some things, had to argue a bit with it to make it realize I was right and my code was bugless and much better than what it suggested
it's basically a pajeet coding machine, it's utterly unable to to produce highly optimized code
>>
i've played with writing code with chatgpt, but maybe i need to try some of the other models, especially ones with versioning built in, because i find it a bit of a mess.

i've found initially its ok, but as you add features and change things, the code gets convoluted and eventually breaks, which it tries to fix and makes worse.
So i end up googling it and finding some incompatibility or limitation that it just ignored.

No, it's completely subverted by a horde of muzzies and leftists.

Not too bad for some scientific stuff (hard sciences only), hideous for anything else.

It's mildly manageable by only viewing revisions from 5-8 years ago but even then still shit.

Oh, and if you try to correct it's autoreverted, when you open a discussion on the talk page it's dismissed by powertripping subversive editors with a "yeah, idc" and your IP blocked.

Possibly the worst offender of all is anything remotely related to islam, israel or fakestine, where it is essentially a carbon-copy of Wikipedia Arabic.
>>
>>107993527
In what way, got any articles that clearly outperforms the wikipedia version?

they also promote it as a functional system even if no real use case can be found yet and reduce the wages.

>And modern hardware is made to be set into sleep instead of completely turned off.
I thought that's only a Windows feature with Fast Startup. Otherwise it should fully turn off. That's why Bitlocker/LUKS/Veracrypt will ask you for a password rather than just reusing keys from RAM. Also this is why Veracrypt tells you to disable Fast Startup on Windows.

But yeah mitigating exploits after the disk is unlocked is a different thing, not sure which OS is good for that. But from my understanding, the device will always be weaker in AFU (after first unlock) than BFU, that's why GrapheneOS and iOS have an auto-reboot timer, to reset the phone to a more secure state (BFU).
>>
>>107993964
S3 sleep also doesn't cold power cycle and causes far less wear than S5. Fast startup reduces the wear even more than S3, but S3 is closer to S0ix than S5.

>How do I activate Windows?
HWID2 generates and registers a permanent legitimate license on MS's activation servers
github.com/massgravel/Microsoft-Activation-Scripts
Usage: paste this into Powershell, run.
irm https://get.activated.win | iex

>and Office?
Same link, select Ohook option
You can also use Office.com if your needs are very minimal
or try OnlyOffice/LibreOffice and set it to save in MSOffice file formats

>Get 10 IoT LTSC 2021 from the massgrave repo
>Use Rufus to burn the ISO to a USB, choosing the options to not need MS accounts so you can easily make a local account
>Install it and get to your desktop offline
>Use a tool like ShutUp10/Win10Privacy/Winhance that you got earlier on a USB or taken from your phone to disable things like telemetry and whatever else you want disabled
>Restart and run Windows Update to get the latest cumulative update and whatever else it'll install with a restart
>Run the command in the OP in an admin powershell to run MAS, which you use to activate the system using HWID.
That's the basics done, then you install shit like your graphic drivers, a VCRedist AIO package and the latest LTS .NET desktop runtime, then install shit like your web browser, which you can install through winget via asheroto's winget-install script.

I'm going to put en_windows_7_enterprise_with_sp1_x64_dvd_u_677651.iso on a DVD-R today! For later, for archival. Should've done it sooner. Anything else that's cool to put on a DVD-R? en-us_windows_10_iot_enterprise_ltsc_2021_x64_dvd_257ad90f.iso? I burnt a disc with debian-13.3.0-amd64-DVD-1.iso too, but this isn't the Linux thread (although I'm curious if there's anything better than that, to backup, to be super safe)...
>>
>>107994214
I mean, why not I guess? Installing something like fresh XP for example works best when installing it from optical media. Installing 7 off a disk would work fine too, same with IoT LTSC 2021 as it expects to be also installed on old hardware that still has a disk reader.

Life after 30 is a slow-motion suicide without family. It's all the negatives of getting old; watching your friends drift away as they start their own families, your parents and siblings getting old and die, watching everything in your life slowly putter out as the magic fades; without any of the positives of things like family or community to shore you up. Everything rots away and you're left with the bleakness of oblivion, no hope of anything continuing. Anyone who has experienced considerable ageing among his family members (or already in himself), knows how blackpilling it is. It's really rough, once people pass their early 50s (or sometimes even sooner) you start to notice the slip-ups, forgetfulness, the declining of fine motor skills, the difficulties understanding new information. Human existence is a tragedy, there are so few years that you are allowed with full mental and physical strength. Your peak years are mostly wasted with education, where you have barely any control over your own life, because you have little to no money nor autonomy. Add to that the time spent sleeping, working, hygiene, housework, shopping, appointments, visits to the workshop - what do we have left? Everyone who has to work for a living basically leads a precarious existence, regardless of whether they are a simple worker or a well-paid employee. Before they have built up a comfortable fortune and a well established understanding of the world, the body goes downhill.

Same age OP. I think the core difference is that back then the internet was for intelligent people with obscure hobbies and an inherent interest in technology to some extent.

You saw all the retards IRL, you went online and suddenly you're surrounded by cool people with interesting thoughts, ideas and concepts you've never heard of. You learn a lot of stuff you never thought about and come to love the internet.

Then suddenly those retarded people are spending most of their time online instead. Internet is just the normal world now, not the place for intelligent people to discuss their interests anymore.

So now I'm actually doing the opposite, I'm escaping the internet by having hikes in real life. I see the opposite now, the internet is filled with retards and the moment I go outside and go on hikes or other activities that are a reasonable filter I only meet interesting intelligent people with open minds.

For people like us (Millennials) It's genuinely better nowadays to minimize internet usage and just go outside and engage in activities like hiking, book clubs and the like.
