Is anyone else facing acid reflux, gastric troubles, and not-that-good health in general due to using computer the whole day and staying awake late into the night?

Also, with medication in general, don't be afraid to ask for something stronger at the pharmacy. The amount of times I got discouraged by a treatment not working is downright sad, especially because I found the "cure" later. And sometimes persistence in the right treatment is all it takes.
>>
>>108414751
Do you mean being unhealthy in general or acid reflux in particular? Because there are answers to both.

I feel you though, these days I fully expect my body to give up on me completely after decades of neglect never finding the time to take care of myself.
>>
>>108414017
You probably have a serious chronic condition. The worst I ever get is dizziness and the urge to vomit when working out for the first time in ages. I can't really blame my body for it, it's like going from absolute 0 to 100, even with a light workout. This sedentary lifestyle will be the end of us, bros.
>>
I heard they figured out some autoimmune diseases like nut or shrimp allergy is due to lack of exposure while a toddler.

Maybe acid reflux is the same if you only eat the same thing or some schizo shit like that

I have an idea for my own anonymous imageboard. Instead of threads, all posts act as their own thread. When you reply to another post, it gets bumped to the top. When someone replies to your post, then yours gets bumped to the top but not the post you originally replied to. In other words, bumps only propogate up one layer. There will be a limited number of posts, so any that haven't been bumped in a while will get automatically pruned.

Checked. Yes it is (or is the same broken everywhere I have ever opened it). I imagine it's to look like a bunch of paper pages that the user is doing his research on. You gotta understand old computer interfaces attempted to mimic traditional offline workflows, including the bad parts, to look familiar.

anyone here who thinks ext4 is good enough? idek why btrfs is considered so useful, it doesn't really do anything that most people will need, even hsg people
>>
>>108415155
You can format your vm disks as ext4. After all they're on top of zfs and you don't need to double up on proper file systems.

FAQ:
>How do I activate Windows?
HWID2 generates and registers a permanent legitimate license on MS's activation servers
github.com/massgravel/Microsoft-Activation-Scripts
Usage: paste this into Powershell, run.

irm https://get.activated.win | iex

>and Office?
Same link, select Ohook option
You can also use Office.com if your needs are very minimal
or try OnlyOffice/LibreOffice and set it to save in MSOffice file formats

Disabling Windows Update to prevent an age verification system lockout update, Y/N?
>>
>>108415022
i wouldn't. it'll probably be trivial to work around and if it's not you can probably find the update and uninstall it from a recovery environment.

if you really want to avoid it in the first place, i'd set an update delay of like a month and just keep an eye on the news topic. once you know what kb implements it, just block the update.
>>
>>108415072
What if it's implemented in bits and pieces trickled in inside of other unrelated updates over time?
>>
>>108415087
idk, it's hard to say without knowing how it will be implemented (or if, it might be deployed in a specific variant for locations that require it). if you wanted to pause updates for a bit that might be an option, but i wouldn't just permanently disable them. at some point there'll probably be a well-established workaround or maybe a group policy setting or something.

you're misusing this phrase. most people wouldn't care about trannies if they weren't so patently obvious in terms of looks and faux mannerisms. but they are. they're attempting to force everyone around them to reject reality with their mere presence. it's offensive on a physical level, somewhat like seeing a homeless person digging into their asshole as you walk around a city metro

What would happen if the link failed to load/open?
>>
>>108412632
well, shit, the channel ID is not being logged. Likely coz the file-loaded event is immediately triggered on clicking the link, but metadata fetching takes time. I'll add a little delay so that the metadata can be parsed and the field can be populated. Replace the "mp.register_event" block with this:
mp.register_event("file-loaded", function()
mp.add_timeout(0.5, function()
cur_title, cur_path = get_path()
local md = mp.get_property_native("metadata") or {}
cur_channel = md.uploader or md.artist or md["channel"] or ""
cur_channel_id = md.channel_id or md.uploader_id or mp.get_property("metadata/by-key/uploader_id") or ""
-- Fallback
if cur_channel_id == "" then
local channel_url = mp.get_property("metadata/by-key/Channel_URL") or ""
cur_channel_id = channel_url:match("channel/(.-)$") or ""
end

if cur_path and not cur_path:find("playlist") then

Edit the script and replace the code block that I pasted in the other reply to fetch the channel ID.

The radical tech elites are pushing AGE CHECKS in SYSTEM D—can you believe this? They want to control YOUR COMPUTER, just like they want to control YOUR LIFE! This is a total DISASTER, folks!
Age checks are just a sneaky way to spy on you, track you, and tell you what you can and can’t do. SAD! Linux used to be about FREEDOM and INNOVATION, but now it’s just another tool for the WOKE MOB. They’re turning Linux into a NANNY STATE—pathetic!
We need to STOP this madness! No more age checks, no more backdoors, no more Big Tech overreach. The silent majority of DEVELOPERS and USERS must FIGHT BACK! Thank you for your attention to this matter. RSM

Simplewall blocks a ton of stuff that the default Windows firewall doesn't. Including Microsoft stuff. It's much more airtight in general, Microslop stuff aside. I was working on something with Simplewall on in the background and had a blue screen crash. I think that fucked some of its filters. I couldn't even log into steam anymore. I'm currently reinstalling the OS.
>>
>>108414133
>>108414783
I will need to find an alternative though. Blocking apps from going online is just too convenient. And the Windows firewall just doesn't come close. Is there a safer alternative?
>>
>>108414996
Would a firewall that's not reliant on the Windows firewall be safer? So many of them are Windows firewall wrappers theses days that I don't know how to tell them apart.

what? you used to be able to get certifications from microsoft for a whole shitload of things without having to enroll in a college class or something and there have always been books for that shit
these days everyone is regurgitating the same fucking tutorials and exercises that don't really teach people anything so much that the programming classes I took for university were a complete fucking waste because (besides not being a super rigorous program) EVERYTHING is diluted to shit now. this was in 2017 by the way. it's so much worse now.
