it is unbelievably heavy for what it is, and its fire rate on fun switch models is unnecessarily high for anyone outside of a handful or people that had a need for it.
It's outclassed by many other guns in smaller packages.
>>
It's a heavy, expensive and unusually proportioned gun that relies more on its substantial weight than its gimmick operating system for recoil reduction.

Lockheed Martin's latest promotional video about their LRASM antiship missile engaging a Chinese Type 055 Cruiser launched from a F-35

Neither of those are anti-ship missiles or the European counterpart to LRASM, which would be the Naval Strike Missile, d&c shitskin.
>>
>>64759936
all of those are significantly worse that LRASM lmao

Being able to identify targets and then go after specific areas is some Battlestations Pacific shit.
>>
>>64759936
>euros have 1980s tomahawk tech that the USA gave them.
Those are not really anti-ship missiles. The Europeans use a smaller anti-ship missile, like the Exocet, Harpoon, NSM, Sea Breaker, etc. The LRASM has a range of 350 or 500 miles (not really sure) and a 1,000 pound warhead.
>LRASM is untested in combat!!! REEEEE
The LRASM is based on the JASSM missile. It has been tested and in service since 2018. USN just integrated the LRASM for VLS launch. Muh combat testing is a weak argument. If a weapon cannot be tested before combat, then most of the world's weapons systems are useless without a war.

This.

You're tasked with building a kit to help Iranian resistance against the Ayatollah regime, the kits you build will be airdropped into Iranian territory in large dufflebags and then picked up by chosen operatives.

You have $3k per kit to try to arm an light resistance guerrilla fighter, you can only source items from the US civilian market. At minimum you should provide a rifle, a pistol, body armor, essential accessories and ammunition for both, as well as any survival or tactical implement you see necessary.

What kind of stuff do you pick?

The magic pearl in their skull is what enables flight and some of their other abilities. This has direct military applications as the pearl can be used to make flying machines.

Probably a good idea. This is a great thread and relevant to /k/ but definitely veering OT.

Realistically, what firearm would you need to take down a rampaging Na'vi from the Avatar films? Nine feet of solid muscle and bone (reinforced with natural carbon fibre), extremely fast-moving and agile, fighting on their own turf with very short engagement distances? There's no way 5.56 mm would cut it, would 7.62mm be enough?

All I can speak on is the mags
M85 mags are based on the Galil mag so they won't be compatible with that rifle, yes. You need 74-footprint mags like for an AK-101.
All of these I'm listing here I've used and work fine for me for AK-101 pattern mags.
>AC Unity waffle mags for the AK-12 aesthetic, might be tight in your rifle though
>Bulgarian ones from gunmagwarehouse
>Circle 10 mags if you want to pay $50+ per mag
>5.45 mag follower swaps if you have a 3d printer and are willing to print in ASA or nylon, fuck Podarms prices
The Bulgy ones from gunmagwarehouse are probably your best bet in terms of quantity, price and reliability for 5.56.
Ymmv, of course. I see no issue directly with the rifle itself either, assuming you can get the rest of the parts easily.
>>

>>64759825
Wait on the 7.62x39mm or get the 5.45. There are too many quirks and issues with 5.56 AKs in my opinion.
