Any anons here ever been to ShootSmart? Its pretty much the only range I hear about in DFW, but they seem extremely expensive: Their prices put me off but their also the closest range to my neighborhood so their convenient...Would you say if I shoot at the minimum 2-3 times a month that a membership would be worth it? If you are able to get either free or discounted FFL transfer fees, some amount of low cost or free range usage and discounts on some ammo at the range I think it would be worth it. That means you can easily just drop in any time of the day or week, work in about 10-20 magazines if you pre load them and then be on your merry way. That would for me be worth roughly 150-200 a month just in time savings. Now ymmv with whatever ranges are around you but that would be what makes the range reasonable for me.

What tools for self defense would you recommend for someone in Europe to have when shit goes down. There are black powder revolvers shotguns and rifles, but you can't buy them everywhere in Europe. There are crossbows and bows but what is really their capacity to defend, and of course air rifles, in some countries they are unrestricted in some countries they are cucked and they are a hassle to have around in the case of an emergency. Better yet what should everybody own, not just weapons, in case they want to survive more than 72 hours.

the first question should be what you are prepping for.in any case the best thing you can do is gtfo from urban areas, find some small town of about 1-2k people in a sparsely populated area.you'll have just about every service and skill set you'd need to survives long term, a small enough community to not turn apes hit straight away and large enough for local authority to keep some semblance of control.also there's food production in rural areas that will keep you fed for at least the first year.if you are in a rural area, start a garden, get some chickens and rabbits, get a hunting license and some hunting rifles/shotguns.get to know the locals, your neigbours, the local doctor and vet, some other hunters, some farmers (just ask if you can shoot rabbits on their fields, they tend to love free pest control).if SHTF you are playing on easy mode.if S doesn't HTF you have a good fulfilling life>I can't afford thatif you go past an hour from a major population center land and homes become dirt cheap.those areas also tend to be older and in need of care givers. so retrain as a nurse, there's programs to fund your retraining everywhere across Western Europe. you'll also pick up some useful first aid skills.there's towns and villages half an hour from Strasbourg where 50k will buy you a home with a yard and barn.
