>>64696853>>64698855>>64697362Yes military spec rifles function as intended (and have for the last 70 years) and when you add commercial off the shelf mistery meat bullshit to it they do NOT work as intended. WHO WOULD'VE THOUGHT????
>>64704000Well I just searched the Google.
I bought an NRA membership. I already donate to GOA and FPC, but thought I could be doing more even though the NRA is hated on this board.Has it improved at all since they changed presidents from the Frenchie LaPierre? The new guy is some dude Bill Bachenberg and I haven't been able to find out much info on him.
>>64701938NRA Life for years.>just got monthly mag>anon, we're switching to digital publicationFuck 'em. As much trash as American Rifleman is, no fucking way I want to read the thing on an app.I take my NRA mag, tear off my member info, and deposit it in a neighborhood Little Free Library, the owner of which is virulently anti-gun.
>>64702679>the owner of which is virulently anti-gun>where they go straight into the trashWhy not donate them to a barbershop or dentist's office? Real men get thier teeth cleaned be 23yo hotties. I do.
>>64702679>deposit it in a neighborhood Little Free Library, the owner of which is virulently anti-gun.Unfathomably based
>>64701938It sounds like they've turned the ship around and aren't just embezzling 98% of your money antlymore. They were also responsible for the Bruen decision which is never brought up.
>>64701938I've been a life member for decades now, from back when I was young, naive, and way more flush with cash.NRA has been shit for quite some time, mostly because the guys at the top were using the org as their personal bank accounts. Those assholes are as dirty as Somalian day care centers. Shame that most likely none of them will rot in jail. That said, since most of the assholes are gone (probably not all of 'em) I'm cautiously hopeful that this is the start of things turning around. I'm still in wait and see mode though.
Are people who shoot traditional archery just trying to compensate for having no personality?
>>64703351>Shitty 2x4 grip, bolt you have to hammer open cause of cosmoline, garbage stripper clips that bind, all to shoot a shitty rimmed cartridge that can't even compete with .303. Oh yeah I think it has sights?Yeah you never shot a nugget newfag

>>64701724that's because you have zero wild animals and zero nature in your entire country. The whole thing was cut down and razed for charcoal.
Why was the Longbow in use for literally 300 years when it simply could not penetrate armor? I have watched several experiments with modern reproductions and never once has it achieved penetration of plate armor. In this latest one they can't even pen at point-blank range a late medieval brigandine and cheap Sallet helmet which was worn by poorfag troops. Rich nobles wore high-end bespoke plate made from tempered steel with every surface calculated to deflect blows and it would have zero chance against that. The amount of training that went into using the bow doesn't seem worth the results.https://youtu.be/SFFgcTzCvMo
>meanwhile at Patay
>>64699879>>64699835Oh but maybe that's not enough, how about the Battle of Formigny, we see the French are on the scene with a vast number of cavalry! Here, finally, we'll see the crushing superiority of plate armor end the reign of terror of the longbow!Again, we do not. Once more the French employ cannons outside the range of the English longbowmen. The English have no choice but to deal with the cannons. They commit to the attack and charge the cannons rather than be picked off at range. They are actually successful in the attempt, though at heavy cost they take the enemy guns and are bringing them back to their lines when French reinforcements with Breton cavalry arrive from the other direction. The English attempt to redeploy their forces rather than be enveloped, but are unsuccessful. While the Breton cavalry were instrumental to victory, there was no charge into pelting arrow fire, instead the archers are killed as they try to take the cannons back to their own lines. The French scouted the enemy positions and did not commit to hopeless head on assaults, instead catching them where they were weakest as they redeployed. The cavalry were used strategically to overwhelm the English men at arms and secure advantageous positions, denying them to the English.Plate armor. Had. Nothing. To. Do. With. It. Every French victory was because they did not act like colossal retards. They already had plate armor at Agincourt, and lost, because they were total retards. There was less plate armor at Bauge, where they were successful by not being retards.
>>64699294>The frog fears the redcoat
Slings would negate plate armour in more practice ways, why not use them at the start of the 300 years and never use the long bow. >Well because the French would have raped themWood is cheap, Feather is Cheap, Iron is expensive but you're not losing too much per arrow.Shooting arrows distances gives you advantages and disadvantages but compared to what they had at the start of the 300 years. It was just a worth investment. >why build Lebel, just stay with black powder until self loading rifles with box magazines are common dudeYeah that's not how progress works. and just like the Lebel, often if you revolutionize greatness, you're stuck with it for a while.
>>64684834Rate of fire mainly, and even if you can't get consistent kill shots, arrow volleys slow people down and break up formations.

>>64703962>>64703964The Acolyte was cancelled though. It was one of their most expensive shows of all time, and they killed it after one season due to extremely poor viewership and middling reviews that even their fanboys and paid shills couldn't really talk around. Also, the gay witches all died to a single Jedi, lmao.

I want to learn leatherwork so I can make a pocket sheath for a more traditional puukko.
The Peltonen website has some unique sheath options available. I might have to pick up some orange and M05 plastic sheaths.

>>64701537They don’t do that very much, especially compared to Palestinians and Russians Despite being in combat constantly in 2025 their KIAs were 58 vs 40,000 Palestinians, 150 Syrians, 400 Lebanese, and 2,000 Iranians and at least 400 houthis

How effective have they been these last few years, are they legitimately on par with the f-35 and f-22?
>>64703794>They'd be vastly better off with more Su-30s.Not Su-35's?
>>64703784Pretty bad sign for your "advanced" aircraft if it can't fly over Ukrainian air space.
>>64703800My understanding is the two-seater Su-30 gives it better strike capabilities than the single seat Su-35. But truly what do I know. Few things are more inscrutable than Russian model designations.
>>64703778Seeing as how they've had massive sales with a decade long backlog I'd say pretty damned effective.
>>64703800>>64703923Su-30 is supposed to be the slavchimp Strike-Eagle. The Su-35 is mostly an air-superiority fighter, but it's also multirole. So maybe it's like a slavchimp land-based Super Hornet.

>>64701935A fiber optic cable wouldn't help in this case. The cable just stops jamming. The idea behind the tech in OP is to literally fry the electronics. Not just jam the signal...and what's pictured is decades old tech ironically.Look, most people are too stupid to understand what types of directed energy systems are currently available to the USA and many other first world nations. They are showing you tech that was developed probably back in the 80s.A horn antenna EMP gun is nothing new.Read the 2024 addition of High Powered Microwave Weapons (forgot the author but will try to find the link in a bit)We have microwave tech far and beyond what is pictured in OP.Laser tech is also more advanced than what is commonly described by the main stream.Comment too long.
