just a quick question about the spectr dr, why get the 1-4x and throw a red dot on top? wouldnt it make more sense to get the fixed 4x and throw a red dot up top, at least from a weight and price standpoint, or are the fixed 4x ones unobtanium?

Is it possible that a short stroking undergassed AR with failure to feed malfunctions (failure to strip and chopping next round in half type) would have a punchier/worse/shittier recoil impulse than a properly gassed setup that isn't malfunctioning?

Currently 147gr "new" brass supers (cheap) 200rnds flawless function USGI and Lancer/Tmags with both Omega and SMK in full gas position. Punchy, but not terrible. 200gr subs (Magtech, Winchester) 80rnds flawless function Lancer/Tmags with Omega full gas. Very pleasant to shoot, too soft actually you can tell it is on bleeding edge. 147gr "new" brass supers did NOT function in restricted gas setting, even with Omega. Typical failures I've been seeing with LAW ARIC undergassed 300blk config which is failures to feed. What is curious is that by subjective recoil impulse feel this "mode", albeit non-functioning, still had a more stout recoil and stronger gassing feeling than functioning subs with gas full open...
Also sorta similarly, could just be the N+280 concussion, but the SMK felt punchier/shittier than omega (supers). Ignoring my subjective confusing experience that non-functioning supers in restricted gas mode still felt more recoil/punchy than functioning subs full gas mode...I think most other observations point to the gun needing more gas?

The Thirty Years War but without any firearm, just knights and man-at-arms fighting each other. In essence, everything I hate about fantasy and the reason why I can't get hook by it. A world perpetually stuck in the mid to low medieval technological period when it comes to warfare.
I'm a sucker for 1700s men and women fashion and a sucker for 1400s and 1500s armours.
>>
>>64746580
>the first firearms made said armour obsolete
Anon, the first firearms did not make armor obsolete. Plate armor died in the 18th century; firearms started around the 10th-13th century as shitty fire lances became small cannons carried by hand (which then evolved to handgonnes and then arquebuses and so on).
>>
>>64746615
Bullet proofed plate was even heavier than the usual sort, generally only stopped bullets to the torso, and even still mostly from smaller firearms at the time.
The full-sized handhelds usually could go through at anything but longer distances.
>>
>>64747484
off the top of my head they helped kick the Ottomans out of Italy preventing Rome from falling like Constantinople did, they were involved in a bunch of central European campaigns in Hungary and Bohemia

>>64746214
>It doesn't matter that they weren't widespread in one region

what does matter is that Han Chinese crossbows predated a shit ton of advancements in material science and design thus typically they had half the draw weight of a Medieval version if not less, they really wouldn't have much impact on late Medieval plate armor.

Is that a fucking pistol real sight in the red dot cut out? Is PSA inventing a shotgun that can't be used as a shotgun because it has pistol sights for some reason?
the receiver is objectively the worst place to mount a red dot on a shotgun. the best option would be if you could get it low profile on the barrel or as a qd on a side rail like an AK, though the barrel, especially if you can get the bottom of the red dot below the receiver would be great because then you could have a red dot mounted for HD or turkey or if you're in one of the like 3 states that still require slug guns for durr and then you can take off the barrel, the red dot remains zeroed and you can put on a different barrel for birds or clays
I really don't understand this psa 570 thing. it looks like they just designed a gun to compete with turkshit and the mav 88 to be a ghetto blaster for blowing up trash on blm land

I just spent forever (fucking weeks) trying to buy fully legal parts for an AR15 in Washington so I made www.compliantarms.com over the weekend to make it easier for others.

It aggregates AR15 parts listings that will ship to Washington from a few of the biggest firearms sites. For example, the only PSA listings on there are complete uppers since for whatever reason that’s all they’ll send.

Have seen others having problems finding websites that ship as well so I figure it’s needed but do you guys think I should expand it to more states and more categories?

Not sure if you count a PDW as an SMG, and a Durr rifle as a Sniper. Frankenstein is kinda cheating if you've built an AR because it's pretty common to put a decent upper on a cheap lower.
